Meditation upon the Emerald can yield any of the following:
- A memory of the Golbah Games
- A memory of the Ferocity's first flight
- A memory of training on Kashyyyk
- A memory of Sahet'yaim's construction
- A memory of searching for Yorshi
- A boon of power or knowledge riven directly from [member="Darth Metus"]
- Memorium: Melamar serves as an album of sorts, allowing some of the formative memories shared between Master and Apprentice to be vividly recalled with but a thought. As time moves ever forward, memories fade, yet these select few will last forever.
- Stronger Together: Melamar is as bound to Darth Metus as his Apprentice. Therefore, the wearer is capable of drawing a considerable amount of power or knowledge directly from the Sith Lord whenever needed.
- Eternal: Melamar was conceived through Sith Alchemy and, as such, is nigh indestructible by conventional means.
- Neutral: Melamar ceases to function inside the Force Neutral zones projected by Ysalamir and has exceedingly diminished function when within proximity to Voidstone (or derivatives).
- Overdraw: Melamar can, in theory, completely drain Darth Metus of all reserves due to the nature of its construction. Therefore, the mere existence of this item poses a danger to the Vicelord of the Confederacy, as falling into the wrong hands could see him destroyed.
The road before is long and harsh. No man has emerged unscathed. There will be pain. There will be sorrow. But I step forward undeterred. Why? Because, for the first time, I am not walking alone.
In the beginning, Darth Metus was skeptical. He fancied himself a listener to the ebb and flow of the Force. He thought that he was obedient to the will of the Dark Side. Yet, on one particularly dreary day, the Sith found a visitor on his doorstep. The young woman was pitiful. She was lost among the winding streets of Coruscant and soaked to the bone by the ceaseless rains. A troubled past nipped at her heels, and truly she had nowhere left to run. At a glance, the plight of the young woman was certainly not His problem. But the echo of the Force bid him to give her shelter. To see her protected. And from that moment forward, a Bond was forged between them.
And in the present, He fully understood that the lost child of Eshan was one of the greatest gifts he had ever received. She began as his Apprentice. But over time, [member="Srina Talon"] grew to be his confidant and his closest friend. In the tongue of her people, the best way to describe how things were between them was Melamar. A fancy way of saying Home.
In the present age, as literal Chaos consumed their daily lives, the Sith forged a reminder of just how far they had walked together. He chose silver - the metal which resembled her piecing gaze - to form the foundation of the band. He added gold - a reflection of his own sulfuric eyes - as adornments. And the stone which brought the ring together was a peerless emerald. Green and vibrant, like the future that they toiled so hard to preserve. Melamar the Ring is a tribute to the bond shared between the Master and his Apprentice. Born by alchemy, the metals themselves are effectively unbreakable, no different than their friendship. And just as the two had come to rely upon one another, so too had the gem been elevated so that Srina could rely on Darth Metus' power. Whenever the situation is dire, she could call upon the ring and draw from his reservoirs of strength.
Though the road is far from over, the Home that they had found in one another would stand the test of time. So too will Melamar.
