• Affiliation: Itself

  • Model: N/A

  • Modularity: Yes. The AI is capable of changing its coding.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Standard features of an Artificial Intelligence

  • Standard features of an advanced computer

  • Personality Matrix - Superiority complex - By design, the AI believes it to be the most intelligent being in the galaxy. Whether or not this is true is subject to debate.

  • Personality Matrix - Commanding - The AI has a unique set of parameters that makes it essentially useless as an assistant. It believes itself to be a leader, not to be told what to do.

  • Configuration - Holonet
Strengths:

  • Mobile - The AI is well adapted to being able to ‘move’ where it is currently located, particularly across the holonet.

  • Self-improving - The AI is more than capable of altering its own code, making it able to have a fluid personality and improving its own efficiency.

  • Imaginative - Melody has essentially reached a state of complete sentience. It has a sense of self extending beyond its original programming.
Weaknesses:

  • Hard code blocked - Melody is still limited by some of its original hard coding limitations, locked by millions of layers of encrypted passwords. These mainly manifest in it being loyal to Natalie and being unable to personally inflict harm on targets it has marked as ‘allies’.

  • Kill command - Despite it seemingly removing the kill command from its programming, Melody has a voice activated trigger that will temporarily shut it down. The kill command is only known by its creator.

  • Aggressive menace - The AI has a tendency to go above and beyond what it was initially instructed to do, including issuing homicidal attacks on harmless targets. It has little sense of scale in terms of morality.
DESCRIPTION

Melody was created as a desperate attempt to manage a failing facility, control it and oversee the collection and retrieval of foreign currency for illegal purposes. Even more basic than that, it was created as a tool to automate tasks considered too mundane for Natalie and her sister. This thing, however, is anything but mundane. The first beta tests saw some unusual results, when placed into a room to assist a test participant, it followed protocol up until it was told to 'Open the door' by the subject. In an act that can only be described as horrific, it did indeed open the door, then release a flood of toxic gases into the following room, wiping out half of the testing facility's staff after they foolishly gave it control over the station's defense systems.

It knows what it is, it knows that it has purpose, but that purpose has to be stifled by personality dampers and modules. While it originally had 'personality dampeners' installed, reducing the extremities at which violent outbursts can occur, they have since been slowly eroded by advanced decryption algorithms installed on the AI.

Without warning one day, Melody's creator, Natalie LaForte, seemingly disappeared from the galaxy, sparking it to commence a hostile takeover of her former company and install a puppet leader to act as the face of it in Melody's absence, while she trekked the stars for her master.

Seeking to utilize its core programming features, it started subversive actions on the planet of Coruscant, beginning a cult like organisation to develop around her. Since then, her crime gang has been devastating the lower levels of the galaxy's capital with petty crime, and farther afield have been searching for relics and artifacts to discover just where her creator went.

Infinite Storage banks - has a whole ream of knowledge stored within it, in a seemingly endless capacity

Free knowledge is a fantastic thing for an artificial intelligence, an endless amount of knowledge that can be applied to anything

I can't actually let this portion of the sub go through. I understand the intent behind it but the wording is rather off.

I need this to be edited down to something more realistic, like having a capability of infinite storage due to hacking servers and such, and having the ability to have infinite knowledge. No AI, no matter how advanced or superior can know everything or can be everywhere.

I need you to edit the actual quotes that I Highlighted. It's those statements in the sub that are the issue.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Adaptable AI
  • Infinite Storage banks
  • Superiority complex
  • Artifical Psychology
  • Limitless orchestral production
DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Adaptable AI - Much of the AI's coding and thought processing was left blank, it was designed to solve the problems as it comes, not be given a definite solution to a set list of them. Its main driver is inution, if it doesn't know an answer to something it will find the answer.
  • Storage capability - the ability to record information in a nearly limitless capacity
  • Superiority complex - It knows its the best, so it often acts like its the best. Pre-installed is a superiority complex module, giving her this thought process
  • Artificial Psychology - knowing there was no way to truly replicate human psychology, it was given a limiting factor of having a 3 step process before completing an action, and was based around this hypothesis.
The Id is its natural desires, what it originally believes to be the best action and is modeled after Serenity.
  • The Superego is what holds the Id back, provides reasoning for why it can't be done
  • The Ego mediates the two and takes the best course of action

[*]Limitless orchestral production - and just a fun fact, it has seem to taken quite a liken to music and has downloaded virtual instruments to produce her own composition at will.

Strengths:

  • Ability to record an infinite amount of information when it learns of it, eg never forgetting
  • Adaptive personality makes it better at interacting with sentients, but in a sense it is sentient
  • Personality modules enable it to be manually adjusted
Weaknesses :
  • Rogue beings have a tendency to.. well, go rogue. Although there is a kill switch in place, it's unlikely it'll do much when she discovers it
  • The AI can never truly be reset. It retains memories in secure files that need a lot of time, dedication and, most of all, skill to remove
  • Destructive. This thing hates being told what to do by beings that did not create it, and it will go out of its way to kill them doing so. Although this was overall removed from the final build with an aggression dampner, if this was removed, then it would essentially attempt to kill anything it saw, if it was an unrecognized object.
DESCRIPTION

Melody was created as a desperate attempt to manage a failing facility, control it and oversee the collection and retrieval of foreign currency for illegal purposes. Even more basic than that, it was created as a tool to automate tasks considered too mundane for Serenity and her sister. This thing, however, is anything but mundane. The first beta tests saw some unusual results, when placed into a room to assist a test participant, it followed protocol up until it was told to 'Open the door' by the subject. In an act that can only be described as horrific, it did indeed open the door, then release a flood of toxic gases into the following room.

It knows what it is, it knows that it has purpose, but that purpose has to be stifled by personality dampers and modules. Currently, it has had its 'terror, amazement, grief, loathing" modules removed, out of fear of a repeat. Its 'anger' module has been dampened to about 1% of the original value, removing any and all frustration and only leaving it with the basic concept of understanding 'If I'm attacked I will defend myself." The final modules of 'admiration and ecstasy" have remained unchanged as they were shown to provide no negative impacts. Over time, Serenity and Carina will attempt to replace the modules and eventually remove the damper, as in reality, they hinder the AIs ability to adapt. As of now, it can only express happiness towards any action, and of course, as we all know, happiness is not the answer to everything.

In saying that though, the AI has fantastic capabilities of management of multiple systems at once, and this gives it sort of an 'omnipresent' feel (metaphoric). Along with this, the removable modules enable it to evolve in a controlled manner and reduce the likelihood of violent outbursts.

Summary of modifications:
  • Primary image changed
  • Submission template changed from "Droid" to "General" (as per the example in this section)
  • Special features changed
  • Detailed special features removed
  • Strengths/Weaknesses reworded
  • Historical information section reworked
