Memories of the Lost (anyone 1-2 people)

Allow me to reintroduce myself
It was the Festival of New Birth, Asteria was on Naboo looking for a once young Wikinia fruit sapling, the last of it's kind. Under its newly flowering branches, a rotting log sat with a faded carving of a heart and writing that said in Flaeg, "When it's time for me to kiss the stars, we will meet again. Love, your beloved daughter." It was under this tree's branches Asteria sat, recarving the old farewell saying into the bark of the young tree when she sensed someone coming up behind her, "If you're here to give me a job, ask tomorrow morning. If you're here on a bounty, try again later, I'm not in the mood to kill anyone, and this is a sacred night and place for me and I'd like it if you left me alone until the morning or midnight then try to kill me. Be warned, do not underestimate me in the night." As she was saying this she turned around to look at the approaching person, taking into account anywhere a weapon might hide, then looked at the face expectantly.

New Birth, one of Naboo's many festivals. Mit was walking along the side of a hill, approaching the single tree on the hill. The tree had just flowered and it was looking beautiful. He was wearing a formal suit, an old top-hat with a pale flower on the side. He fiddled with his watch as he walked up to the tree, not seeing the person sitting next to it. He was spooked by the voice as it rang out through the still air. "I would not hurt a lady like yourself..." he said in the most proper voice he could munster. He tipped his hat slightly and leaned against his cane. "Enjoying the air?"

"You could say that," Asteria looked at the man, "Do you come here often?" She went back to carving the saying on the tree, seeing the man as no threat, she herself was in a long black flowing dress, hardly suitable for fighting but had a few places where she hid some daggers. "I haven't been here since I plant—" She cut off before she could say 'planted this tree', but she already sensed the curiosity in this man. She had said too much.

"Since you what?" Mit asked, his curiosity sparked. "Im here, your here, we obviously came here for a reason. Im here for the air, and to look at that beautiful tree." he said and waved his free hand at the log the girl was carving into.

She could see no other way out than to kill him, and she didn't want to kill an innocent man, not tonight, so Asteria gave the man a look of defeat. "I planted this tree 11 years ago while mourning for the murd— death of my parents, and placed this log," she showed the man the rotting log, "next to the sapling after planting it on a hill so I could always find it, even when it was a full grown Wikinia tree. Even now it is still young, but it fares better than it would have on Fla— my planet." She did not want to give away that she wasn't human to this human, or that her parents had been murdered, yet. She only trusted him enough to tell him why she was there, "Anyway, I've come here to re-write the saying into the tree, where it will never be lost. Are you pleased with that answer?"

Xephirus Cloud

The Echo of Destruction
Xephirus drifted around the festival as he had been drifting through his new life. He had come to Naboo for answers, it was as if the name of the festival had spoken to him specifically. However, all he had found was fools and drunks that littered the main walkways.

A knot began to form in his stomach. He wanted so desperately to know more about himself but all that was presented before him was a chance to party. Such rich, ignorant fools with nothing better to do... it disgusted him. The waste that they produced.

Finally he came to what appeared to be a very old building that seemed oddly familiar. He placed his hand on the wall that seemed to be mended some time in the past. He had fought here before. He had been slammed through the wall by on of his greatest enemies. He began piecing the events that occurred moving through the streets as he envisioned the battle in his head.

It was then that he arrived on such an odd scene being played out at the base of a tree. He tried not to hide his confusion, nor the anger in his intense red-yellow eyes. These beings were not like the rest and he was almost certain that he would call them foes before the end of the night. The state his mind was in, it wouldn't take much to bring his aggression forth. He strode by them, keeping a close eye on them as he moved. He didn't try to be sly about it, he looked directly at them clutching at the cool metal of his favorite lightsaber.

He was angry that there was a new tree in the place where his memories were it had thrown him off. He stopped a few paces passed the two and looked around as if trying to pick up the trail of a battle centuries past. He gritted his teeth angrily. The first breakthrough in months and it was derailed by a lousy tree. He had half a mind to rip the tree from the dirt and hurl it into the air. The leaves rustled as the ground beneath it quaked. He breathed heavily anger consumed him. He figured was destined to be lost, to wade through mediocrity.

She heard the man before she saw him, turned around slowly, pulled two vibroblades out of hidden slits in her skirt, careful not to turn them on yet, and stepped in front of the young Wikinia tree before the new man got any ideas about her sacred tree. "Do not come any closer, I do not wish to have to kill anyone on this sacred night, so I will ask you three questions, maybe four. Who are you? Where do you come from? What is your business here? And finally, are you a Sith?" Asteria asked this in the most calm voice she could muster, though a fire blazed in her neon brown eyes. She was very defensive of the young tree, but she controlled her emotions and actions, even though the man before her looked a little like the apprentice to a Sith Lord she had killed once. 'They all look the same to me,' Asteria thought staring at the (to her, half crazed) red-yellow eyes and the lightsaber clutched in the man's hands, and for one minute, forgot the other, well-dressed man was there.

Xephirus Cloud

The Echo of Destruction
Xephirus tilted his head to the side his face in a permanent scowl. This woman stood before him as if she truly believed in her heart that she could present a challenge to him.

He looked her up and down. The beasts he had slain in his past life were surely more deadly than the likes of her. He smiled a dark smile, resting his tongue on his right canine. Then simply shook his head and shrugged.

He didn't know. He wished he could tell her and perhaps his silence would anger her further. But truly he didn't know.

After a long pause he said, "Does any of that matter. I'm from a place you couldn't begin to comprehend, with a name lost for nearly a thousand years." He exhaled deeply looking toward the sky then back to her. "I'm the deity of death. The villain from the void, the heir of Cron, and hundreds of other titles bestowed upon me when I was alive. My name was lost and so am I."

'That would explain the eye color,' Asteria thought, 'but he looks so familiar. There's only one way to find out.' Asteria kept a blank look on her face, but the suspicion filled her eyes. She asked one last question,"Does the name Starcatcher or Camo refresh your memory?" Her grip tightened on the vibroblades.

Mit turned to look at the newcomer. He stayed silent and leaned on his cane, crouching, and drew a blaster from his belt. Standing up he leaned against the old tree. "Quite the drama hm?" he snapped sarcastically. 'Why can't people leave me alone today?' he thought as his mind went into a defencive state, scanning for escape, "Does it matter who this fool is?" He said and activated his blaster.

Xephirus Cloud

The Echo of Destruction
Xephirus let out a soft snort. "A blaster?" He said in disbelief, "Really?" He didn't answer the female, the man didn't give him the opportunity to. He shook his head in a negative fashion. Sure he was a bit irritated that this... this man would be so bold as to call him a fool and wave his gun around as if he were a big man... but that wasn't really THAT good of a reason to kill him. All Xephirus was there for was answers and it seemed as though this tree represented the end of the road. He wasn't looking for a fight, and he knew how excellent his reaction time was. So he simply started walking away as if the man pulling a blaster on him was a big joke. It'd just have to be. If the man fired upon him... well then that would be the folly of his drastically shorter life. You just don't tug on a Sith Lord's cape and you don't mess around with Rodian Jim.... or something to that effect.

She stepped forward and repeated her question, "Does the name Starcatcher mean anything to you, Sith? I would reply before the moon gets to high." In fact the moon was high, and Asteria looked as if she was glowing slightly blue, and her eyes were flaring with neon brown fire.
