Mending with the Force (Thurion Heavenshield)

Ilathria meditated quietly in the Dantooine plains. It was a beautiful day, with a soft breeze and puffy white clouds in the sky. Despite the planet's chaotic past, it still maintained a lightness to it. She delved into this lightness, using it to feel all the living things around her. Everything from plants to beings. This feeling was of utter peace.

Of all the many stars upon the night sky he'd visited during his knighthood pilgrimage, Dantooine had yet eluded him. He knew about it as much as probably anyone who had yet to actually visit the planet, based more on word of mouth rather than facts stated in some text somewhere. Thurion was not a great reader, after all, and still struggled sometimes with the more difficult words. Having never attended any form of formal education before his induction into the Jedi 20 years ago meant he'd never been taught how to, save for the lessons Asha would give him when still an apprentice. He got by well enough, though.

"Take us down, Teetoo", he said to his trusty astromech droid given to him by his fiancée, [member="Coci Sinopi"]. It had been some time since the last time he'd been able to take time off to go exploring on his own; to go where the wind took him, so to speak. In his younger days this was his way of life for many years, travelling the stars at will. In recent years more and more responsibilities offered and willingly accepted meant he'd have less time to indulge himself. In either case, here he was.

The Oathkeeper touched ground upon a far-reaching, grassy plain, with forests off in the distance in one direction and mountains in the other. It was picturesque, and internally he kicked himself for not having come here earlier. "Stay with the ship, Teetoo", he told his traveling companion as the ramp lowered itself and he stepped outside.

Ilanthria felt the presence of a powerful Lightside user enter her vicinity. She opened her eyes to see a ship landing a ways away from her. As a figure stepped out of it, She closed her eyes once more and reached out to them. She didn't speak. She merely made her presence known.

As soon as his feet touched ground, the Force bid him to follow, leading him to the one who would call out to him. It was like a white breadcrumb trail in his mind, easy enough to guide him through the terrain towards his summoner. It didn't take long to find the one seeking his attention, and his eyes fell upon the serene sight of a seemingly young woman sat meditating in the grass. She had a celestial aura about her, an other-worldly visage. Not uncommon in a vast galaxy of different species, sure, but in all his years he'd never witnessed something as radient quite like this.

"Excuse me?" he made himself known to her. "Sorry for interrupting, but I sensed your presence the moment I landed. My name is Thurion Heavenshield, a Jedi. Do you... seek my help?" he asked in earnest, not knowing the reason of her summoning him.

Ilanthria rose to her 7'2" height and turned to Thurion. "Greetings, Thurion. I am Ilanthria. Pardon my summoning. I merely wished to meet you." She said in her usual sothing tone. Her smile was warm and friendly as she went up to him and hugged him. She normally did this with people she met, as she felt it was the friendliest and most honest gesture to use with others.

His eyes widened as she rose to her full stature. She was even taller than him, though still as slim as any woman he'd met, which made for a somewhat odd appearance at first glance. She then surprised him even more by simply walk up and embrace him, innocent and pure in her intent. He could do or say nothing other than awkwardly put his arms around her to show his appreciation for the kind gesture.

"Um, so... Did you need my help? Are you in some kind of trouble?"

Ilanthria thought for a moment. "The assistance I require is not for something life-threatening," She said, slowly backing away from Thurion a bit so that he wouldn't feel awkward or overwhelmed. "Moreover, it is something I have needed help with for quite some time. You see, in all my fifty years with the Jedi Order, I have been a padawan. I have learned many things on my own accord. But there are some things that I cannot learn by myself. For that, I require a teacher." She smiled at him. "I will not beg you to teach me. And should you refuse, I will not press for your reasons. I understand that these are trying times and that every being has important matters of some kind to contribute. If you do not currently have the time, I will not hold it against you in any way."
