Mentor or partner?

Since I'm completely new to a dedicated RP of this scale, I'm actually a little intimidated... Well more like confused, but that's besides the point. I was hoping to see if anyone wouldn't mind being my character's mentor or partner? This is mainly to help me get used to this. The backstory I'm writing will sort of be reliant on the faction the person who is helping me is affiliated with. I think I've written about three different backstories so far! Maybe if someone new wants to partner up we can grow together if a veteran doesn't want to help. No worries if nobody wants to help however, it's not a big deal!

General info about the character I'm writing:

Male
22 years old
Human (I don't mind changing this though.)
Not force sensitive
Uses any type of blades, terrible with guns

I plan on starting a smuggling operation as soon as Sempra the Hutt and I finish our current thread of me obtaining my ship. There might be a way for us to join forces.

As a note this character is Force sensitive and I plan on Deving him further towards the Force as I go on. Just a forewarning incase that sort of thing isn't what you were looking for.

Every backstory I've written has had some sort of smuggling aspect to it, so I think that you'd be perfect for Emm. I don't really mind him going along with your character when the time comes for him to focus on his force powers. So do you mind taking Emm along with you when you're ready?
