LFG Merc with Something to Hide

The character I've brewed is kind of an estranged Mando. He's capable to fill in as muscle for a crew, be a body guard for someone on any side of a conflict, fall in with random troops, join a cause as long as it suits him....ect. He's open ended. He'd be gruff and intimidating with a lot of room to grow on some folk.

Mal has some secrets to his character that would ideally be chiseled out through story. He's FS but unaware of the extent if really at all. Most of his latent ability is channeled into physical boons and a natural affinity for concealment. I.E. force sight and the like isn't going to give him away via auras. He tends towards a certain side of moral via a personal code of ethics. Though that set of morals comes with a bit of flexibility given the line of work. I don't see going evil with the character but that doesn't mean I don't welcome the conflict that path would produce.

Right now the only storyline I've got in mind is something along the line of falling in with a close knit group for a while, hopefully as part of a larger storyline, then being captured/injured/something that leads him and perhaps others to the revelation of him being FS. Personally he'd hold it against himself as the form of Mandalorian ideals I'm flavoring would look at force users as weak and deceitful. The view coming from seeing these individuals tap special "power" instead of relying on their own strength and cunning. From that point it depends on where the group is and what overall story is being written. If he's fallen in with trained force users, then maybe he goes down a path of exploring his abilities. If he's with non-forcers, maybe instead he starts down a path of paranoia and digging deeper into his metallic shell. Whatever makes sense for the current story and feels right at the time.

I'm a fairly flexible writer so I can probably jam myself in wherever. I will say my favorite write-ups are getting to those big anime level scenes with a huge display of bravery/martyrdom/prowess. Building up an "I don't like nobody" type character to the point that they sacrifice themselves for someone else is peak fun imo.

But also yeah! Iris here is needing some more threads since I've neglected her so much. I'm not sure exactly what they could get up to together, but I'm sure we can figure something out!

If you have any interest I write a slicer who mostly operates alone but does the occasional op requiring extra muscle. Right now she's on Denon, ostracized by the Darkwire network due to her interests in continuing wetwork for the ruling Corporate regime.

I suppose it's worth mentioning I'm probably going to be a 1-2 post a day kinda writer. I've got a 9-5, I'm a parent, and I like to be pretty thorough when I actually write. Just want to make sure expectations are set before I disappoint people with less posting than expected! Feel free to amend earlier suggestions if that pacing is too slow for your interests.

Thanks for the template coding! I'll probably sit down to beautify things this week.

One or two a day is pretty much the average for folks on the site, so don't think that's slow or anything! Life always comes first. I dig it though. I got a couple Mando characters I haven't touched in a while that could do something with yer lad, or Iris here. Or any of my other alts, really. Actually, here:

The Hunter: My half Chiss mando that got blown the feth up. He's a cyborg now with no memory of who he was. After some failed attempts to reintegrate into his clan he's been wandering. Actually, he might be the most ideal for interacting with your lad.
