Merchants, Bounty Hunters, and Credits.. What? (Jax Navaro)

Naboo. Not the best place for a known bounty hunter to find herself in, but it was inevitable. After checking up on her baby son at the orphanage she had given him to, Alatar, better known as Ghost decided to stroll around town. She had decided to go with a casual outfit, taking care to hide her metal arm, and letting her hair down for once, the waves falling down her back.

Ghost decided to just take a blaster with her, and her mask in its place, as was always. Once she felt presentable, Ghost walked back out into the city, determined to see it's sights. One never knew what they would find on this beautiful planet.

Jax looked around the shop, it was in check. He wondered when his father would quit being lazy and do this job though. Jax's father always made him do inventory as well as stocking up the shop. It wasn't a hassle or anything, since he was getting paid anyways, but it did get old. The merchant life was calm, a lot of talking, and money. Buy, sell, trade, they did whatever they needed to do to get money.

Sometimes, he wondered why his father would quit the mercenary life. Of course, he figured it was to take care of him. Jax wanted to get into something exciting. However, he didn't want to leave his father. That would be upsetting. He appeared to be indecisive.

Jax walked slowly through the market scanning the area for good prices. His eyes were only seeing food however. He was looking for tools, not food. It couldn't be helped though, Naboo had the land for making food. And people grow where they can.

Finding her way to the market, Alatar began to walk around mindlessly, looking for something to keep her mind off of her son. She saw a young man looking at a food stand and walked over, deciding to ask directions to the nearest pub or cantina. As she walked over, she noticed that the young man had a far away look in his eyes. She knew the look too well.

"Could you help me with some directions, lad? Or are you too busy staring at space trying to figure your own?" Alatar put a hand on his shoulder, not her metal one of course, to pull him out of his reverie.

"You look a bit lost yourself, mind if you could lead me to the nearest cantina?" Alatar waited for his response, her irregular breathing apparent from her mask. She felt like being courteous today, and wasn't really in her Ghost Soldier mode.

The market was loud, but wasn't the thing that kept him from hearing the woman. He was just so.. disappointed he'd not found any weapons today. Going back with nothing would most likely cause his dad to lecture him. "How disappointing...." he mumbled.

Jax didn't hear the woman the first time. It was when he felt a warm touch that he came out of his thoughts. As he turned to the woman, he saw a mask. An item that bandits usually wore. This frightened him, even though her talking wasn't hostile in any way. He had to be careful, as a merchant.

"Sure. This way." smiling, Jax motioned his hands to follow.

Alatar noticed his surprise at her mask and sighed. When she spoke it was in a calm voice like she'd dealt with this before. She had on numerous occasions and this time was nothing new. At least her arm was hidden for now.

"I'm not a bandit don't worry. It helps me breathe." She followed the man as he led the way through the crowd, deciding to invite him for a drink, when a thought crossed her mind.

Maybe he could be a possible- no we aren't on Reaver business, Alatar. We're getting a drink. She shook her head slightly and continued alongside the young man. She decided to strike up a conversation.

"I'm Ghost, what is your name?"

Jax kept a smile on his face slightly. Good appearance is important in case a deal is to happen. He decided to give a reply to her question after getting out of the bigger crowds.

"I'm pleased to make your acquaintance." he thought about her name while leading the way. They were close to the cantina. It was at the end of the market, as odd as the placement of it was. Ghost... the name didn't sound like a name given by a parent. Maybe, a call sign? "My name? Oh, its Navaro" he said loudly.

The cantina would only be a few meters away when Jax stopped. "Here you are." he paused and turned around to look at her. "This market is one of the smaller ones so it only took about five minutes to walk here."

"Nice to make your acquaintance as well, Navaro. Would you be willing to join me for a drink?" She didn't want to sound creepy or anything, but she meant well. The man looked like he could use a few directions, and not for a destination. Even though Navaro couldn't see it, she was smiling. She held out her hand for a hand shake, not realizing she had held out her metal hand.

Jax was shocked a little when seeing a metal arm. It appeared his new acquaintance had an... accident? He kept a small smile on his face. "Uhh... I don't drink. Sorry" he said hesitant at first. In reality, he loved drinking wine. But he couldn't do that today, he knew she probably was harmless. However, trust wasn't easy to earn from him, especially with his fear of bandits.

Alatar was a little confused when she saw the small shocked look from Navaro and looked at her hand. Her eyes widened in realization and embarrassment that she had held out her metal hand. She shoved her metal arm into the pocket of her jacket, a little embarrassed.

"Oh, sorry 'bout that. If you don't want to come I can see why, you just seemed like a guy who needs a change of scenery. Thanks for the directions though, Mr. Navaro." Alatar turned towards the cantina making a move to leave.

Jax nodded as he turned the other direction planning to walk back. The market seemed to be getting quiet as he drew closer as he walked back. He sensed a familiar presence approaching him from the crowd. A warm and frightening presence. His father, most likely. It was unknown to him why his father was coming his way, but he assumed it was to bring him home.

A tall and muscular man approached him. "Drinking on working hours are ya?" the man let out. "Father, I apologize. I wasn't drinking though. Just helping out a visitor." Jax said trying to explain. His father exhaled and turned around. "Alright. Come on back then." Jax nodded and looked back toward Ghost's way. "If you ever get any goods in mint condition, come to me." he hollered smirking.

Alatar turned and if she hadn't had her mask on Jax would've seen a smirk. The man next to him had a striking resemblance to Navaro and she assumed he was his father.

"Don't worry, I'll plan to!" With that she strode into the bar and didn't look back.
