Merr-Sonn: Next Step

Tera Lush

Valashu watched as the knife work of his secretary improved. Each day, her accuracy improved, her overall capabilities expanded, and she seemed to become more of a warrior. It was as he sought, to teach her to be the first member of the Jensaarai-Ka of this universe.

Instead of conventional means, teaching stealth first, he figured that teaching means of attack would produce a better result. Whenever she finally decided she ready to attempt a mission, skills in remaining unseen would come better as a means of survival. Also known as, ir was better to be deadly and work on getting away, then the other way around.

"Very good Sara," Val said, "Anyway, rest for now. Let me know if anything happens while I am gone. Going to go and work with another corporations."

Dressing in his Executive Suit, with his Compound Bow on one hip, and his quiver on the other, he straightened his tie, then headed for the door. Walking in a brisk pace, he vanished from sight as soon as he passed through the exit. Heading for a nearby gate, he moved towards the perimeter of the city. It would be a Feral City that he was to meet this... Justice.

His first trip to these cities had been astounding, he had nearly died on so many occasions that it was crazy. Ruins as they were, the buildings were still powerful and strong, with hundreds of feet high walls surrounding the cities; inside were kept the Feral Tera Vampir that managed to be caught.

These beings were incredibly fast, nearly to fast for Val's own Anzati enhanced speed! Which was crazy, as he was the fastest thing he knew. It had taken a lot to get in, grab the item he was looking for, and escape. Luckily he had gone inside of a mediocre city, not one of the ones filled with Ancient Ferals....

As he was now.

It was an odd thing, setting up a meeting here. But where he told the man to meet him was able to be entered by means of a hidden tunnel leading to the basement of the skyscraper. He however, was not going in through the tunnel as he did not want it opened, possibly allowing enemies to enter.

He couldn't invite a man to one of the most dangerous planets in existence, and leave him defenseless.

Nearing the massive steel walls of the city, he drew his bow, and with a snap of the arm, the length of the bow tripled as it came to its proper shape. As he strung the bow, he leaned back to gaze how high the distance was. Roughly 300 feet high. Difficult to get an arrow up onto, but not impossible.

Leaping lightly into the air, he kicked upward a bit further by ways of the wall, which also sent him outward a bit as well. Having gained a dozen yards in height, probably more, he drew an arrow from his quiver which when it left the bow, would trail a tensile cable behind it.

Before his arc upward had even finished, he shot the arrow, boosting its speed through ballistakinesis. Easily, it sailed at the edge of the wall, embedding itself before spikes would jutt out from the arrowhead, stabilizing the dexterity of its position. When he began to fall, he attached the cable to a scaling tool on his belt, and pressed a switch. Instantly a small motor began to raise him upward. All he had to do now, was keep himself horizontally oriented so as to rise properly.

It took only a few minutes before he was crouching atop the massive wall. Leaving the arrow where it was, he simply tossed the cable down to the other side, in case he needed it for escape when finished.

Walking slowly along the wall, he spotted several of the beasts he worried over. They moved incredibly fast, zipping and running about for whatever reason they saw fit. With little more than feeding to do, that was what they filled their time with: hunting each other, and the fresh game every so often put inside.

Nearing the corner of a building, Val shot an arrow at the wall, before leaping over to land nimbly on it. Climbing into the window it was near, he slowly made his way to the opposite side, each move calculated and swift. Though he could go invisible at will, he couldn't hide the essence of his smell from these mindless creatures. So, he made sure to never get to close.

One just so happened to not agree with this plan though. Stepping from a corner, about to cross the hall, he was caught off guard by the open mouth hunger filled look of a large Feral. Just as it opened its mouth wide to scream an attack cry, it found an arrow planted through its eye and into its brain. After retrieving his arrow, he moved a bit slower, using the Force to tell him when he got to near to one of the creatures.

Before long he was looming across a large gap in between two buildings. Once it held a full bridge connecting them, but now it only had the railings between... which was more then enough. Folding his bow, he put it back on his hip, then slowly shimmied along the pole for a few feet before pulling himself up. With the balance of an acrobat, he quickly walked across the pole.

Once inside, he immediately began to head for the basement where he would meet the man representing the Justices.

The people. The interest of the people always was behind everything James did. He before thought that the best thing for them would be total anarchy. And in some ways, it was. But now he had a new set of ideas. He had to make kings, he had to let them rise to do the best of the people and he would stand behind them. Directing them. That was why he was here. For the people, to direct the kings and make the empires. All for the people.

I am not here, he reminded himself, the Kingmaker is. Not the people's Criminal.

From head to foot he was clad in armor that remenist a droid from a bygone era. In fact, most who saw it discerned it as nothing more than a relic warrior droid. Its exterior was made from heavy beskar, the plates required thick, heavy servos to keep it moving, thus increasing the idea. More than that, James had scattered intel across the Cryptnet, the shadownet, and even sparse parts of the Holonet that made the identity the Kingmaker. The Kingmaker, a shadowy broker that made deals and was now becoming a major player in the galaxy.

He could see the readings that indicated the weapons maker was almost here, on the extremely powerful audio scanners. When the man came into the room, the olfactory sensors detected hints of blood. Animal blood, local, and fresh. He had been in a conflict since he got here. Interesting. It was showtime.

"The Kingmaker has come representing a variety of entities in work and service," said James, through the vox scrambler, his voice would have been indiscernible from a droid's with a powerful, low toned voice. "The primary one at large in this meeting is Justice Shipping. James Justice regrets that he is unable to attend himself and sends his social regards. The recent conflict in Republic Space has required his full attention," The servo-powered arm whirrled as it motioned to a chair, "Please. Sit. We shall discuss the matters at hand," he paused before continuing, "James Justice has requested we discuss the matter of his shipping for your company. To follow should be the possibility of future contracts with Justice's soldiers trained for third parties in the near future."

Valashu was surprised to see a droid, when the Force told him otherwise. It was not as if he had walked through this area without being alert. But maybe this was a test, or a simple ruse. Either way, this didn't matter. What did was the information got to Justice, and he alone, so this was truly a representative of the man. That or an assassin.

If it was the later, he would find an apt fighter in Val.

"Of course. I have heard of the issues occurring. These reasons are why I choose neutral territory for my own company." Leaning against the wall, he waved a dismissive hand at the chair, "Can't get comfortable. My escape isn't going to be as easy as walking through a tunnel.

"So, you say that you represent the man, well then I imagine you have inquiries, as well as offers. What should we start with first??" He asked.

"The primary designation of this inquiry involves Justice Shipping making an offer to cover your business' interstellar transportation of your goods," the Kingmaker began.. "In return he offers the standard 15% discount on all of Justice Shipping's services and soldiers."

The Kingmaker understood the importance on such a deal. The company not only custom trained soldiers for the needs of their clients but they also trained and produced many guards and soldiers for the many needs of his planetary buyers and small business contractors.

"In addition," the Kingmaker continued, "James Justice will add Merr-Sonn to the database of businesses. These are given preferences when the inevitable referral is required among business that Justice Shipping services. These range from ship manufacturers to military groups. Some of which are in desperate need for weaponry."

From the Street Rat gangs of Corusant to the budding SPQR empire and the Line Empire, Justice Shipping had their hands in many pies. Many pies that could require more weapons. For the right agreement, it was highly conceivable that Merr-Sonn just might undergo a rapid growth spurt if their name was added to the database.

Valashu mulled this over. This wasn't what he had believed the contract would be. His ideals had been to sell weaponry to Justice in order to arm his men better. Yet, here was a viable contract, one that could entail protection over his wares, were he to handle it properly. As well, despite the high appeal to the last part, it also merited its own dangers, foremost being that everyone who dealt with Justice would have the knowledge of Merr-Sonn's locales and the like.

"In regards to this contract; it will need some tweaks than as is." Valashu relied, crossing his arms, "First, a counter, instead of the discount, an available allotment of soldiers to guard my factories. I will of course pay for a portion for their treatment while near my steads, including food, garrisons, and weaponry. Second, I need more details on this database. What would it include?" Valashu asked, "Simply the company name and contact information? Or more than this?"

[member="James Justice"]

The Kingmaker nodded, while it was not in the initial deal workings, this was more than viable. It would be good for Justice Shipping's guards to be seen at the Merr-Sonn facilities, both for their own private need of security and it was good publicity. This would work.

"The database contains the following on all of Justice Shipping's clients and known business associates: Business title, no less than three means of contact ordered in the client's preferred method, the service the client provides, the nature of Justice Shipping's relations and dealings with this client, a history of work for said client, as well as their openness to new work," the Kingmaker paused to let this data sink in, "When Justice Shipping is contacted for reasons such as the creation of a private military, a request for weapon supplies, or the need for eradication of pirates or slavers, the database is consulted and parties that may be applicable to provide needed services or goods are contacted. If needed a third party such as myself ins used as a diplomat. If one of the businesses within the database incurs a need, those within that are able to fill said need are contacted. No information is given without consent of the parties involved. More often than not the involved parties are keep away from each other and Justice Shipping serves as the go between," This measure was as much for security as it was for Justice Shipping to maintain its need in the galactic game of commerce. "Is this pleasing to you?"

[member="Matreya"]

"Very well, you may add my name. Under the stipulation, that no third party involvement be due. If someone wishes to partake with Merr-Sonn, I will deal with them directly. If you wish to have an ambassador, they may play mediation if it is required. But, Merr-Sonn will handle its own business arrangements." Valashu said, "I don't need a buddy to hold my hand while I wait for a reply."

Gesturing with his hand he asked, "Does this handle everything then?"

[member="James Justice"]

The Kingmaker processed everything for a moment. This was all panning out as planned, he was quite pleased. There was only one matter of business for him to patch up; what they came here for. Justice Shipping had become so embroiled in rumors, politics, war, building armies, and social reform that it was almost all to easy to forget its primary focus: shipping. It was, in fact, the reason that Kingmaker had been sent here in the first place.

"One final thing;" the deep metallic voice replied, "would you indeed still be intent on having Justice Shipping conduct the delivery of your goods? Our freights are the best in the galaxy holding the records for timeliness and security. As well, our rates are the most competitive in the market."

It would of course make sense. Only a fool would attack a ship known to associate with Justice Shipping. Every ship was rigged with more guns than the pirates themselves, and more than that, there were more rumors floating around about their piracy and mercenary work than there were amoeba in Hutt water. Yes, ocassionally a ship did chance an attack on the militaristic group. But there were never any who lived to tell the tale and the rumors of what was done to their captives was even worse than the rumors of piracy.

Valashu pushed himself from the wall, chuckling, "Could have sworn that was agreed on. So, the soldiers, I pay half their care, and you transfer my goods. Also adding my name to your list so long as I am present to do my own negotiating." Offering a salute, he turned from the man towards the door he had come through, "Expect the printed version in the mail soon enough."

With that, he vanished from sight.
