STRENGTHS

• Meteor: The name of the Meteor Class Dropship came with a specific tactical idea during its creation. Equipped with heavy armor and layered shielding, the craft is intended to plunge directly through a planets atmosphere at near maximum speed, and plummet towards the ground. If the craft can maintain its momentum and control, it is possible to use the reentry flames as cover to get through targeting sensors.
• Crater: All of the Meteor Class Dropships weapons are situated along the underside of the craft. This allows it to descend towards its landing zone presenting both the maximum amount of armor protection, as well as its lethal payload of ordinance.

WEAKNESSES

• Don't Look Up: The Meteor Class Dropship lacks any weaponry at the nose or above the crafts main hull. It is incapable of engaging enemy ships in direct dogfights, and instead must rely on its shields and speed to evade enemy starfighters and pursuit.
• Jam Packed: Despite the size of the vessel, the sheer amount of weaponry, armor and supplies packed into the craft drastically limits the transport capacity for troops within the craft. Only a single compartment is left available for the occupants of the craft, and it is a tight fit.

DESCRIPTION
The final ship created to fill the needs of the Saber Initiative, the Meteor Class Dropship is the unapologetic fist of the Initiatives arsenal. While the Noble Class Starfighter is capable of clearing space and engaging enemy ships, the Meteor Class is designed for the sole purpose of getting the Jedi or Galactic Alliance operatives inside to the ground alive. Meant to be escorted into planetary orbit by other ships, the Meteor Class will deploy in a rapid and drastic manner towards the ground, plummeting at terminal velocity. Once it nears the ground, it will snap up from its dive, and present any impediments on the ground with its lethal and extensive arsenal of weaponry. Once the landing site is secured, the Meteor Class will deposit the troops within.
