He wants his men to obey his orders and then implement the orders correctly. Despite his authoritative behavior, Meviik is not one to quickly punish. He prefers to teach his men rather than discard them.
When out of duty, Meviik can be one of the most humorous Mandalorians from Clan Varad and is often buying drinks for the rest of his kin.

Other Notes: Meviik comes from a very old naval heritage, even back to the times of the Galactic Empire where Meviik's ancestor - a Coruscani born Human - graduated successfully with flying colors the Academy of Carida. Since then, Meviik's ancestors have all devoted their lives to different navies in the galaxy. It was not until the beginning of the Gulag Plague when one of his ancestors became a Mandalorian.
Currently, Meviik is the most experienced Mandalorian from Clan Varad in terms of naval operations. Hence, why he is the commander. It is not surprising that a 30 year old is the most experienced Mandalorian when it concerns commanding ships within Clan Varad, as the clan itself is quite, quite small.
