PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Takes power rich Isotope-5A and makes it give off a steady "bleed" of energy through the use of a specific amount of Ionite-A that could power a suit of armor for a lifetime in a reactor the size of a fist.
  • Is shielded from outside interference with Ionite-A shielding preventing Ion/EMP weapons from disabling the power core, and Yorik Coral provides even more protections as its force dead nature even makes tampering with it through the use of the force difficult if not impossible.
  • Is easily able to be scaled up to meet larger power demands as the design is kept relatively simple, the only difference being that you need more Isotope-5A and Ionite-A to meet the fuel requirements.
STRENGTHS
  • Constant nigh uninterruptible power - This core was designed to give off a steady stream of power to whatever it is plugged into for an extreme amount of time. The reactor in its smallest state could power a suit of armor or even a prefabricated home for years at a time, or if the right technology is used, for a lifetime. Add into that its construction makes it extremely shock and tamper proof, and you can abuse this core to use it in armor or other hostile environments so long as you provide the necessary protections, which it comes with mostly. You'll be hard pressed to find a more adaptable or reliable source of power.
WEAKNESSES
  • It can't generate more than that steady stream - So this reactor generates a constant stream of energy, and while the energy is significant, it doesn't fluctuate for any reason to maintain the stability of the core. That means if you suddenly have a suit requiring more power to achieve something, this core will fall short because it can't generate more or less power than what it is designed to. That means if you have a system that will be fluctuating on power demands you'll need ways to offset this with batteries or capacitor systems.
  • If the Yorik Coral Sheathe get breached - This reactor gives off a steady stream of energy because the only thing that the artificial Ionite is reacting to, is the the Isotope-5A inside the reactor. Should the Yorik Coral shielding become compromised the Ionite in the core will now be exposed to all of the electrical and magnetic fields outside the core causing it to accelerate the expenditure of energy, causing the entire thing to heat up. The increased energy output will also in turn cause the Ionite to continuously put out more anti-charges, causing a cascade effect that will end up causing a small a small reactor to spark, puff of smoke and die, and a larger one to go off with the intensity of a bomb. And the bigger the reactor, the bigger the explosion, because all of the energy in the Isotop-5 has to go somewhere.
DESCRIPTION
This reactor is the brainchild of Dr. Ryan Alphonse, with the goal of taking the power generation technology of what is currently available for smaller vehicles and even power armor, and catapulting it light years forward. With the advent of artificial sources of Ionite and Isotope-5 now being made available, Dr. Alphonse decided to try and take the unstable nature of Isotope-5, and use Ionite's natural projection of anti-charges to whatever is put next to it to create a steady stream of power as the Ionite is constantly reacting to the Isotope-5 and sending out a constant charge. Magnify this up onto a scale of the size of a fist for the smallest of reactors, or the size of a small speeder for larger vehicles, making it able to scaled down to, or up to whatever you might want to make a reactor for. And because the reaction is so controlled and is essentially constant, you can create power based on whatever your needs might be, and have absolute control over how long the reactor will last before the Isotope-5 and Ionite cores have to be changed. And because this thing is house in a Yorik Coral based polymer sheath, it actually won't interfere with any outside electronics unless that polymer physical shielding is broken. This is what makes the system work as the Isotope-5A is under a constant bombardment of anti-charges, causing the Isotope-5A to radiate a constant stream of energy. This is why though the polymer shielding and everything else is housed inside a Phrik-A metal housing because physical damage to the shielding, and then the core could cause the reaction to spiral out of control as it would disrupt the flow. This disruption via introduction of new electrical and magnetic fields would cause the reaction to accelerate and force the reactor into a self feeding cycle of greater and greater power generation, and increased heat until the core itself would reach a critical mass and all of the energy in the Isotope-5A would be expended at once due to the Ionite-A's increased activity. Which depending on the size of the reactor, could make a very, very large boom. Now while this generation of power is constant, there isn't a way to change it without altering the composition of the core, which means that if your tech has variable power needs you need to pair this with a great capacitor system. And this will give you the ability to apply this to anything from minor power suits and personal shields, all the way up to tanks and aircraft to make them essentially fuel independent for extreme amounts of time. In the words of Dr. Alphonse himself, "Welcome, to the future of power,".

A couple questions for you.

While using ionite to literally "Pull" the power from the Isotope, how would other electronic systems around the area operate? In your submission for Ionite it has a much smaller area of influence with a lower power than the canon version of Ionite. If this was put on armor, could it attempt to pull power from other systems such as a belt-held stealth generator? Secondly, how would Personal Energy Shields work considering it forms the shield around the entirety of the person?

In smaller reactors such as the base model, it would cause the thing to spark, puff and suddenly the whole reactor goes dead. In larger ones it would cause a chain reaction between the Ionite and Isotope-5 to accelerate because now the Ionite is interacting with more electrical and magnetic fields speeding up the process and generating much more heat until it essentially explodes.

You mind throwing that into the submission? It seems all valid and viable given that its not "Natural" Ionite. Secondly, since you mention this ability to fail should the casing be damaged, setting that as a weakness would be highly recommended.

If you also feel to do so, mentioning that its smaller in size due to a larger one having a much higher chance to become a critical failure rather than just going out?

Otherwise, I don't see any other problems with this with that in mind.

And as for the going critical bit, they are actually the same, it's just that when the bigger ones go critical, it's a much, much larger explosion because the amount of stored energy in the Isotope-5A is increased. And we're talking an exponential increase from amount of Isotope-5A mass to size of boom.
