Member of The Month
Continuing with tradition, we're going to kick off this months news post with Member of The Month! January proved to be a difficult month to choose, as we had two exceptional candidates. We had hoped that one would pull away from the other, and make our choice easier, but that wasn't the case. Both have continued to work hard, and are still neck-and-neck. So, you guessed it, we're having two Members of The Month for January. Without further ado, everyone please congratulate [member="Darth Timoris"] and [member="Konrad Von Grimmelshausen"] on being January's Members of The Month!
Both members have been active posters, and contributed the bulk of the posts to the Roxuli dominion. Both have also been very active in welcoming new members to the One Sith, and offering them advice. Great job to the both of you. Wear your bling with pride!
Mod Stepping Down
We go from the good, to the bad. Unfortunately, [member="Darth Azurea"] will be stepping down as a mod for the One Sith effective immediately. For the last couple of months, she was in charge of the various Training Ground registries, as well as a part of the day-to-day running of the faction. So, on behalf of the One Sith Admin Team, and the One Sith faction as a whole: Thank you for the time, and effort, you put into the faction!
We are now looking for a mod to take Darth Azurea's place. If you believe you have what it takes, and are interested in being a mod for the One Sith: Send me a PM. We'll look through all the candidates, and make a decision soon!
GA Invasion
The filthy terrorists, also known as the Galactic Alliance, will be invading our planet of Lujo in the coming weeks. If you haven't already, you can sign up for the invasion here. If you wish to submit an objective to the invasion, you can do so here. In our last two invasions, we defeated the Galactic Republic at Contruum and Balmorra, and cleaved them clean in half. Let's keep that momentum going by crushing the Galactic Alliance at Lujo, and scattering their ashes to the wind!
Dominions
Right now, we have two on-going dominions:
Vullain is currently on 53 posts, while Lialic is on 62 posts. We're over the half way point for both of them, so let's push to the finish line, and smash them out! Remember, if you participate, you can get some sweet bling to put in your signature/profile. Don't you want some sweet bling?
Group-Training Team
The One Sith continues to grow! We've had a number of new members join us in the last few weeks. which is awesome. Unfortunately however, we don't have enough masters to take each of the new members as apprentices. As such, I'll be putting together a team whose main-purpose will be to regularly host group-training threads. This will give our new members a chance to learn and grow, as they wait for a master. So, if you're reading this, and thinking "You know what? Yea, I want to help out the faction." Send me a PM, and we can get the ball rolling on this.
Equipment Load-outs
I know one of the most daunting tasks is creating effective equipment load-outs (i.e. what armor, weapons, and other equipment to use) for different situations. To remedy this, for both new and old members alike, Darth Ferus ([member="Fortuna"]) has graciously offered to come up with a variety of different equipment load-outs for different situations. For example, we will have load-outs like an Anti-Force User loadout, to help you fight those pesky Jedi. A big thanks to Darth Ferus for taking the time to do this for us.
War Games
One of the requests in the Army Wishlist thread was for a War Games event, so that our military members may practice skirmishing in a friendly environment. I'm happy to announce that [member="Konrad von Grimmelshausen"], who has been helping me with the army, has been hard at work coming up with out first War Games event. This will primarily be a military event, but force-users are more than welcome to join. So, if you want to try our skirmishing in an environment without pressure, this will be where you will do it. We'll announce more information closer to when the thread goes up.
Navy
I'm going to be blunt. Our navy is not in the best of shape. We have a lack of dedicated fleeters, and that's something I would like to change. I want to get a group of people together, who are interested in fleeting, and see if we can at least start building up our navy. So if you're interested in fleeting, but find it intimidating to get into, this will be a good time to jump in. We'll try and get tutorials/advice from veteran fleeters, so as to make becoming a fleeter a lot less complicated, and intimidating.
