Midnight in the Castle

The time had come to make a gathering of her apprentices. Ra had also requested a fellow sith lord to be present. One who shared in her goal of passing on what it means to be sith. An additional end goal of taking down the current sith empire. Unless of course it falls on its own by the time they were ready.

The invitation to each person to come to the castle on Vjun where things would begin.

Kei, who was a friend and sort of family. He was the one that wanted to learn control. The one that didn't have any clear set goals or plans for himself other than control. That control she was guiding him in. After that was gained, they could continue their course.

Adron, a person she had known for a few years and helped her back then. Gave her position of power within a now dead government and it was through them she gained this castle. He knew control, as well as she did. What he wanted was to return to his home of Serenno. To take that back from the Sith.

Mercutio, the two faced apprentice of hers. She had found him attempting to rummage through the trash for food and saw he would make a good assassin. His natural skill for sneaking in and out, getting close to people and then doing what was needed had lead her take him as her apprentice. She wished to further his training in all aspects.

Drogh, the wild card here. Chaos barely controlled. He was the opposite of Ra, but had yet to learn what power was. He craved to make himself ruler of Coruscant. Without power, he didn't have a chance. She offered him that power. She had known him the longest out of all her apprentices, but he was the newest.

Time would tell if the efforts she put forth here would come to fruition. If nothing came of any of this, then her time had been wasted. However, these men were the starting foundation of something that would become great. An empire to rival that of the sith.

*Was totally the first one there as he had arrived when Ra had. First thing he does when they stepped together through the doors was tear off his tight leather pants quickly and with a single yank, letting his whole, now completely nude body, absorb the ambience of the castle. He took in a deep breath.*

I like it. A little.. gothy and spooktacular, but i guess thats the whole 'sith tradition's thing you're always going on about. Anyway. I'm gonna head up and grab a shower and change before my competition... Er.. I mean, fellow sith-in-training arrive. Cool? Cool."

He then casually began walking up the steps, the low hanging fruit all out in the open happy as you like.

Kei technically had a room in Bast Castle.

He just chose to sleep on his ship when he was in the area. Otherwise, he had his penthouse down on Commenor or the estate on Corellia. He had enough options for where he wished to sleep, should the armour allow him to sleep. It was one issue with having extremely large armour with large spikes upon it, sleep was all but impossible. Sleep required very specialised beds that could adapt to the large spikes sticking out from the armour.

Not that anyone would see that.

Very specialised holoprojectors made it look like Kei was just a simple Corellian in a suit. It was quite a fasionable suit as well, they had made a pretty good choice with the suit. There was also an option for regular clothing, however for a formal meetling like Ra'a'mah had planned then he knew the suit would be a better option. He'd also just come from Commenor and so was already in the suit. It was too much effort to change it.

Kei knew that he should technically have been on Commenor, he had work to do. However, when Ra'a'mah called he answered. She had assisted him in his moment of need and so he was willing to help her back. All it took was a simple message and he was aboard The Flying Dutchman, throwing himself through hyperspace at the speed of light to attend the meeting that his mentor had called. He wondered what was going on.

His arrival was pretty obvious. It was difficult to hide a large Star Destroyer when it appeared in orbit. The little Lambda Class Shuttle that fell from it was but a spec, flying through the sky towards Bast Castle. It was but a spec until it touched down, the suited passanger stepping from it once it had landed. The pilots would wait for their captain, Kei knew that. They would wait until his business had been concluded.

He wondered how long that would take.

Clipping his lightsaber to his waist, Adron glanced at his reflection in the mirror. Running a hand along his freshly shaved jaw line, the former Count of Serenno took a moment to examine his appearance. Clad in his favored slate suit, accented with a blue tie, Adron took a moment to check himself for any faults. After finding nothing wrong he made his way out of his room.

Having spent the last few weeks at Bast Castle, studying the ways of the Dark Side, Adron had been anticipating this meeting for some time.

Making his way down the hall, a hand slipped into his pocket. He could not help but smile, if things went well he may finally have the proper resources to take his planet back from the Sith Empire. A thing that had been long in the waiting, Adron was eager to have his home world returned to him.

Making his way into the meeting place where Ra’a’mah awaited. Passing by a man, whom Adron could only decipher as another of Ra’s pupils, the Count offered a soft grin as he passed the nude man.

“Well. I suppose it's nearly that time.” Adron said, his words calling over to Ra as he entered the area. He offered a brief nod before making his way over. “I hope this gathering is as exceptional as I'm lead to believe.” He muttered.

Her sister called for her, she would drop everything she was currently doing and left a message to her king that she had business else where. Boarding a smaller ship then her freighter, she quickly rose from the planet of zeltros and took off into the stars then soon darkness as she put her hands behind her. She received nothing of what the meeting was but for some reason she felt it was important....something that would shake the very core of the universe. Finally her ship shot towards the darkness and was greeted by hyperspace all around, she enjoyed watching as millions upon of stars sped past within second....such a calming thing to see

It was maybe a hour or three before her ship was spit back out and slowed, she looked at the planet below and realized it had been far to long since she had actually visited the planet. She chuckled and turned leaving the bridge as the pilots quickly worked to make their reentry smooth as could be. Stardust went to the small quarters she looked over her armor, chuckles and pieces where it looked like blaster had hit it scored it all over. Beside it was her sword nova, a gift from a old friend made from sith alchemy specially made so only she could wield the blade, it's name came from the fact it could heat up and leave a nice gash in even a hull of a ship. Next came her sabers...well...ones she had traded them out for...the sabers of asari ventress! She felt they had sat for to long.

Finally her attention was snapped as she felt the ship gently rock, a sign they had landed. She quickly got her armor on, clipping her westars onto her side and then her sabers as she took a breath. She left her room and was there just in time to see the ramp finish dropping. She glanced out hoping it wasn't raining, that darn acidic rain always messed with her armor. She started down the path helmet under her arm. She looked like a mandalorian, but she was far far from it now

Entering she glanced around at the gather folks, and walked in just in time to see her sisters appretince....She didn't even want to comment she would rather smack him upside the head but! It was her place. She stopped setting her helmet down as she spoke

greetings, quite a party we have assembled here don't we?

Her accent was a mix between what your had from a noble and someone from nar shadda, she didn't care at all what people thought of it...She held to her roots

The temperature in the room dropped precipitously. People could feel Darth Nexus before they could see him. The cold was a harbinger for the Lord of Chaos- a fact that he often mitigated with the force, however here, where he was an invited guest, he saw no need to. Heralded by fogging breath, Darth Nexus entered Castle Bast. He made his way past the guards, who did there best not to visibly shiver.

He had been here once before, in a time long past. During that last visit, he was an invader and Vjun's de facto commander had bent the knee. This time was different. Yet only in that aspect. Clad from neck to toe in his heavy war armor, and a black hood drawn over his head. He made his way towards the force signature that he knew; the one who invited him to this meeting. Ra'a'mah.

His steps were heavy, reverberating through the halls, announcing his arrival. He rounded a corner, looking for Ra, whose signature grew stronger as he drew near.

Drogh

Guest
Vjurn, this cursed planet. A dead rock of acidic water and barren wasteland, who the hell would want to live here? Yet as is the case, where there is little life the sith seem to gather around. His "master" Ra wanted Drogh in this castle, dumping him here for the past few days. Drogh loathed this planet and the castle was horrid in it's own right, yes it was remarkably well maintained, especially for such an old thing. yet he despised it all the same. Some old ancient darkness remained here, lingering in the cold air and the dark shadows, an ancient hatred of self loathing and regret, one could almost smell the past dread that had survived here for thousands of years. Many had been here, this was more then just a castle, it was graveyard.

Drogh had taken the past few days to scouting the castle, it was a great spire, it's towers piercing into the burning sky that hailed little gnawing rain drops from below. It was a place that harbored great things, horrid things, broken statues and ancient relics Drogh dare not guess how old. Yet more flocked to this place, ships came flying in and he spied from the windows, watching strangely clad figures walk into the halls of this dark castle, not recognizing them, just strange shrouded shapes in dark robes or heavy armour, sith no doubt.

Unlike many here, Drogh had little ambition outside of returning to his rotten home of Coruscant, the fallen capital of the galaxy. He was merely a pawn, not much else and Drogh could not care if this was such, as long as he lived at the end of it. Of course Drogh is no easy one to control, even if doing what he was told would benefit him self greatly, out of pure envy and spite he'd usually refuse most orders given to him unless threaten with his life, and even then.

He would no doubt test the patience of Ra and most likely everyone, Ra could barely tolerate it and Drogh doubted that the others would be keen in getting to know him, yet he did quite enjoy the idea of annoying Ra, it was quite entertaining for him. In truth, despite knowing her the longest out of the vast majority, they did not have a friendly relationship and at one point Drogh might have even been a real threat to Ra, had she not remembered her powers. Drogh still despised her, hating her even more now that he could barely touch her without getting killed, had he ended her life sooner in the streets of the horrid urban hell, perhaps he'd be a lot happier. Although what darksider didn't hate their master?

Of course today was special, Ra was gathering all the underlings to this place, for what? A test perhaps, perhaps they would kill each other and the strongest gets to be Ra's apprentice? Perhaps some meaningless petty errand, more fit to test patience then achieve anything, or maybe they would simply be spat out "knowledge", hoping afterwards everyone would of learnt something. It didn't much matter, what ever it would be, Drogh was almost certain he would be bored. So he deiced to walk down to this little meeting room, feeling the Gothic walls staring down at him.

When Ra had informed Vincent of her incoming visitors and apprentices, the old man looked like he was going to have a fit. When it was just her and one other person, he was able to fulfill his task of being her batman, butler and majordomo, however he didn't feel he could do this alone. With the permission of his master, he had gone and acquired assistance and brought him in to meet her.

Before Mercutio had gone, Vincent was there with Desmond and Ra totally missed the action he did in stripping himself as he walked off.

Giving Vincent a totally friendly and natural smile, she looked at the new person.

"Lady Ra, this is Desmond. You know I'm getting old and well, with this many people here, felt I needed help to accommodate everybody's needs."

Now age was just a number and while Desmond was younger than Vincent who was well past his prime, he was still older than Ra. Probably also beyond middle age, Desmond appeared to be a well built man. One that would be able to accomplish everything in the care of Ra, her guests and apprentices.

Giving him a nod, it would take Ra a bit of time to fully warm up to him. However, she trusted Vincent to make the right decision when it came to the matters of running the castle. She looked away from him as others joined them and they wandered off to start offering to fetch drinks for each of her guests.

Three arrived at almost the same time and she gave each of them a smile and nod with a hug for Star. Feeling the arrival of Nexus, this would be the first time he had seen her in a situation other than a quest or mission. Here in her home, she took no precautions to hide what she was. The full force of her could be felt. The controlled fire.

Lastly Drogh came. He was the wild card here, the apprentice she expected to give her the most trouble. Their relationship was anything but friendly. Did she care for him? Not really, but she offered him a way to gain what he wanted. In his turn he would assist her in her goal.

After some time had passed since he left Mercutio appeared at the top of the stairs, fully clothed in an expensive looking hand tailored royal amethyst suit, with slacks to match, and a white silk shirt beneath. His long blonde hair was tied back into a loose ponytail. He looked quite good considering where he had started life.
He then slowly descended the stairs to silently stand before his mistress. He bowed his head to her

"Apologies for my disappearance. I wanted to prepare for the arrival of the others so as to make a good impression in honor of my favorite person in existence."

He said, a devilishly charming smile curling lightly along his features before offering her his arm

"Mistress, my I have the honor of you being on my arm tonight?"

He asked, for once not in a joking or sarcastic tone / manner.

Not exactly like a queen ruling her court, Ra watched as her apprentices, lords and sister arrived to the room. Vincent and Desmond walked between each person providing a drink or food as they were trained to do in their job.

Eventually everybody was situated and waiting on her. It was at these moments, Ra did not do as well she thought she should. She was not the type of person to lead from the front, but from the shadows. However, right now, she needed to be seen and heard by these people.

Her gold eyes looked to each one equally before she spoke. Not from a position on a throne or a pedestal that put her higher than them, but from the ground. These people here were not less than her and she did not want to project that idea on them. Each of them had strengths she did not and those she would exploit as the time came to do so. Drogh had been right, but she was too proud to admit it. However, she did not realize it at the time he said it this is what would happen.

By her hand she had brought these people here. This group of people were the stepping stones of a plan being put into motion. Taking the time to weigh what she was going to say. She knew one person here would only hear them as empty words, but hoped he would listen. Looking at Drogh one last time before she began, he was only her only concern.

Mercutio returned as she was about to begin and requested to be at her side. Maybe not in those exact words, but she nodded and allowed him to stand next to her before beginning. As she spoke, her eyes would meet those that paid attention and looked at her.

"Each of us have goals we have set for ourselves to accomplish. By now, I think you have realized alone we are unable to attain them alone. So tonight we meet to lay our plans. Here each of us has a voice to be heard. What we can do together is combine our desires, goals and plans and make them happen.

"Now, I propose an idea. We grow in power behind closed doors. Gather up those that wish to help us accomplish our goals and objectives."

Carefully choosing her words, Ra attempted to make it clear this was not going to be something that one person only controlled. All of them had a say in things.

Drogh could sense the insecurity and lack of confidence Ra showed. For a Sith Lord this was all the more noticeable. To Drogh she came off as weak, indecisive and easily swayed. She had no real control or at least presented it as such, instead of giving orders she offered and asked. Perhaps this all a facade, to lead them into a false sense of security, perhaps it was just to convince everyone that she "cared" for them, or at least what they wanted. Drogh couldn't tell and this terrified him, despite Drogh seeing Ra as weak for a Sith Lord, he was still scared of her, but not to the point where he wouldn't challenge her or even outright disrespect her. He noticed her golden glares, she did not trust him, she was wise to do so, yet the feeling was mutual. He noticed a rather tanned individual, well dressed, relatively handsome and respectful, if perhaps somewhat obnoxious. He could tell that he placed a great deal of importance on him self, he had an ego no doubt, one Ra could easily exploit, one perhaps most could exploit. Drogh would feel a cold disgust towards the man, it seemed desperate to Drogh, how he tried to curl up towards Ra. Drogh looked around and spotted how almost everyone had dressed up, Drogh was in filthy black cloak that still had the chemical fumes of Coruscant stained into it, the darkness of the cloak it's self hid many of the disgusting features it bared, but if one was looked close enough, it was indeed a true wreck of clothing.

Then he noticed an overgrown green slug or what the Galactic community refers to as "dancers", or perhaps slightly more respectfully Twi'leks. Drogh never saw the beauty in such creatures, they were smiley and disgusting, alien and bizarre. The things should of stayed in their wasteland of a planet, yet they infested the galaxy like a plague, Drogh thought.
There was however something else in the room, a sundering cold that sunk right into Drogh. He felt uncomfortable, Sith tricky no doubt but also very irradiating, petty and quite childish, who ever did this certainly had an ego that were just bursting to show off. Then he noticed the rather large figure clad in heavy sith armour, he would of snickered to him self, yet he feared he might of heard him.

Drogh gazed around the room, a few well dressed individuals, hardly worth noticing, human and boring, although perhaps more tolerable as they did nothing to show off or try to put off some dull power games, in frail attempts at intimidating others.

Adron eyed each newcomer with a certain interest. Much like an analyst he was piecing together the puzzles that could be made with the assembled group of individuals. They could prove to be either an asset or a hindrance, yet their presence would push his own plans forward, one way or another. Vincent, whom had grown even more frail in the coming years, approached Adron with a drink placed upon his tray. "A drink, young lord?" The man spoke, causing Adron to recall the days when he had first met the man so many years ago. He was not quite so young...and not quite a lord anymore. Taking the drink from the tray, Adron offered the elderly servant a smile. "Thank you. Vincent." He said, before turning his attention to the task at hand.

Ra'a'mah explained her plans, and almost immediately Adron would be the first to voice his opinion. "I believe we would all prosper from some manner of introduction." Adron said, his eyes scanning the room. "I only know two of the people in this room, the others I am inclined to have a bit of distrust. Perhaps proper greeting could settle my thoughts?"

In reality Adron didn't give much of a damn who these people were. Kei was a man that the Imperial was growing to have some fondness of, and Ra'a'mah was a close friend. Yet for the others, he saw only faces who could potentially compromise him.

Kei had strolled into the meeting only slightly late.

He was fasionably late, it made him laugh slightly. He was good at being fasionably late, it was a talent that he had. He locked eyes with Adron, the moff fit in well in the room. He looked like he fit into the room, held some power in the room. He didn't know anyone else, with the exception of Ra'a'mah. He didn't care to know for anyone else, so long as they chose to stay out his way then Kei wouldn't have an issue with them.

Kei took a seat, leaning back slightly.

He was almost glad he chose the suit, he fit in with most people. There was of course one man who turned up looking as if he'd been dragged through a gutter. He would be Drogh, Ra'a'mah had informed Kei of him. He was a wildcsrd, dangerous and explosive but he was desperate. He had his goal and Ra'a'mah was going to help him. Kei also had his goals and Ra'a'mah had promised to help him, she promised to help him take Corellia.

"And why should I trust these people to help? Adron is a friend, as are you Ra. The rest of you? I've never met the rest of you, only heard stories that some of you are reckless and likely to get yourselves killed. So answer me, why should I trust you people to help me achieve my goals when you could all turn out to be bigger issues, bigger threats than the goals that I hope to acheieve, the planet I hope to take"

Mercutio took a step forwards towards those gathered before him and his mistress, his eyes that were as molten pools of emerald narrowing at [member="Kei Raxis"] .

"Because Ra trusts all of us. If you do not trust her judgement then, in my opinion, you do not deserve to be here let alone be under her tutelage. If any of you can not swallow your pride or paranoia then there is the door. But I do not believe any of you will be leaving, as you had to at least have an idea as to why she invited you all here, as well as knowing there would be others. If all you are going to do is prattle about like children then you do so at your own behest and hurt only your own cause. Now then, either you can take this opportunity to leave or you can set aside your childish notions and step up to become something more. Help Mistress Ra and in so doing, help yourselves, as we all know she never lets a debt go unpaid."

He then carefully straightened his jacket before taking a single step back, back to Ra's side.
Before now he'd never shown a serious look or took a serious tone without having his mask on, but tonight was different. He seemed to be acting and even thinking in a more mature manner than his usual 'comical relief' state that he normally had.

Drogh

Drogh spat out a laugh, a cold mocking cackle. It was brief and blunt yet Drogh made sure it was loud and obnoxious enough for the blond man to hear it. "Oh yes stranger ,let us hold hands a dance around in circles while we wait for "Mistress" to give us what we want on a sliver spoon." Drogh made sure those words sounded as condensing as possible, like talking down to a child. The man was an idiot, or perhaps he was trying to desperately boot lick Ra. Trust is in short supply in the darkside, anyone who thinks otherwise are often the first to die. The stories are true, betrayal, deceit, infighting; these are the bedrock of all darksiders, sith or otherwise. Drogh believed that it less of an act of stupidity, but rather an attempt to court Ra, to get on her good side. Drogh only hoped Ra saw this hollow attempt for what it was.

"You are merely trying to defend Ra when none is needed, you dare scorn anyone for not trusting strangers? "If you trust anyone in this room, including Ra then you are fool frankly, to trust your master or a master to trust an apprentice is the beginning of an end, nothing more". "Ra will only give me what I want if it fits within her own plans, do not pretend that she cares, about any of us." Drogh soon realized how blunt and forthcoming he was, and he may have offended more then just the blonde man. But in his mind, even if it was rash it was true. Drogh wasn't here to play by their rules, by dressing up for the occasion to pretend to be "nice", he was here for one thing, power. He knew that it wasn't promise to him and if any one thought that it was, they were simply deluding them selves.

What Adron suggested was a good idea. However, Ra knew this was going to be tricky to accomplish. While these people could be considered to be all on the same side, they each had their own goals and desires. For the moment, introductions were going to have to wait and happen in their own time.

"You also know Stardust, Kei. In saying you have your own goals and objectives and speak about trust, you're forgetting something important. Neither you nor anybody else in this room can accomplish what they want to without the help of others. For now, we work together. Trust will either be gained or your fears will be proven accurate."

Listening to what Mercutio said, Ra shook her head slightly. While some of what he said was true and accurate, he also made a few errors in judgement. Trust had been earned from her to about half of the people here. The other half were allies by need or chance. Whether they needed her or she needed them, it was like a circle and never ended. Allowing him to finish, Drogh...the wild card here spoke up.

His dry humor and personality was nothing less than she expected and he didn't disappoint. The tone he gave was just as priceless. What Drogh did not know was the past she had with each of these people. He could only base what he said off his own past. Now, Ra was not about the try and change his opinions and views. They are what made Drogh who he was.

"Drogh, you have always been on the other side of the fence from me and I so look forward to this to always be the case. Trust is not something handed out like candy, Merc. More than a few of you have known me for many years. Some of you for only a short time."

As she said each sentence, Ra would glance at the people in question. Until they rested on Drogh once again.

"Of all the people in this room, you know what you say about me is wrong. Not about the trust part, you and I will never trust the other. Care on the other hand...If I didn't care, do you think I would have offered you or anybody else in here this opportunity? As it was stated before, you each have your own goals and objectives. Including me. What I do know is these we can't accomplish alone and we need to rely on others, at least for a time to get what we each want."

Ending that little talk, it wasn't meant to be a pep talk or anything to inspire loyalty. Just a simple statement of truth from her point of view.

hes right kei, we are here, different people with different ideas and ways of things because ra trusted all of us. In doing so we must trust her decision in those she has gathered. I've heard stories of only the two I don't know here. But by the end of this day I shall know enough to trust your skills

She took a step back and bowed her head in respect to whoever wished to speak. Impressed with how her sisters student was acting....truly it was a completely different personality without his mask on

"Oh please shut up." Adron said, turning his head to Mercutio as he spoke. Adron was often in the company of men wishing to give long winded speeches or elegant declarations. He was forced to suffer their words, he would not suffer this man's. Turning to Kei, and aiming his finger at the man, Adron spoke plainly. "As Kei said. It will help if we know what we all have to gain and to lose."

Realzing he may have to be the first to do such, Adron placed a hand on his waist. "My name is Adron Malvern, Some of you may know me, some may not. The Sith Empire took my planet, and destroyed everything I hold dear. There is no price I will not pay to see them dead. There is no ally I will not befriend, and no person I will not kill." He stated, the last part holding little truth. There were yet a few bodies in the galaxy Adron considered worth something, two of which were in this room.

"I do believe Ra'a'mah will help me. I believe she can help you all. But one thing is certain. If we are going to help each other, we must do such as one. One hand working towards the same end."
