Background
- Orphaned and homeless since the age of 13, Melenna survived on the streets of Corellia using her wit, agility, and a latent connection to the Force.

- Has a strong sense of independence and loyalty. Struggles with trust, but is deeply protective of those she bonds with.
- Melenna Rieekan's early years were marked by quiet joy and simple comforts—her parents were independent freight haulers who lived in the working districts of Coronet City. But when their small operation ran afoul of a local crime syndicate tied to Black Sun, both were killed in a suspicious cargo explosion. Melenna, just thirteen, was left alone with no relatives and no official record of her existence thanks to falsified logs and bribes to local authorities.
For the next four years, she survived on the fringes of society. Corellia's underbelly is ruthless to the weak, but Melenna adapted fast. She lived in repurposed storage crates, ventilation shafts, and abandoned speeder bays. Learning to steal food and barter with low-level slicers and droid scavengers, she quickly built a reputation among other street urchins as a kid who could "see trouble coming before it started."
What she didn't realize was that her instincts were rooted in the Force. When a bounty hunter once cornered her for stealing credits from a corrupt merchant, she leapt instinctively off a rooftop and somehow landed without breaking a bone. Other times, she could "feel" who to trust—and who not to.
Despite the daily danger, Melenna held onto one item from her past: a scorched medallion bearing her family crest, hidden beneath her shirt. She'd whisper to it at night, imagining her parents could still hear her. That medallion, and a fierce refusal to be forgotten by the galaxy, kept her moving.
One night during a food riot in the lower sectors, Melenna used a stolen hydrospanner and a small shock emitter to hold off two enforcers who were shaking down a beggar kid she'd befriended. Grandmaster Pahul Vitorbreeze, on a quiet tour of the industrial levels for unknown reasons, witnessed the event. He saw not just a survivor—but someone the Force had not abandoned.
Though skeptical of his intentions at first, Melenna eventually agreed to go with him to the K.O.T. temple, drawn by the idea that she might finally learn why she could do the things she could… and maybe become strong enough to never feel powerless again.
