Military Ball

With the restructure and all of the new faces around lately i think we should inact the grand tradition of a formal military ball. It's basically a dog and pony show but it's also good for moral and lets people interact with each other on a social level.

I can tell you from IRL experience that they are an excuse for the higher ups to put on their fancy dress uniforms and strut around, but it's also a great place to exaggerate tales of glory to epic proportions and generally have a good time.

Invite everyone who's part of the Republic military and hope no brawls start.

This sounds like a fun idea. Would it be an open-timed event to post whenever in, or are you wanting it to take place during a certain time of day, like an afternoon/evening when the most people are active?

i was thinking an opened timed event, that way everyone that wants in can participate. I want everyone to get some fun time in with this event, as well as doing some IC character building with the new military. Time zones can make this hard to coordinate. I plan on throwing a few guiding posts to keep things on track, but it's a social event and a military meet and greet
