- Strong and Light Blade: Designed with aurodium and synthmesh. The blade is made to be stronger then most while still retaining its lightweight material. The wintrium material gives it a high degree of saber resistance that gets stronger with age.
- Blood Gems: Using the crushed gemstones, the blade of the sword is dangerous, sharpened to a fine edge it can make small shallow cuts to possibly infect with blood poisoning. Normal contact with the blade can generally cause pain on contact if held there.
- Light Weight Design: Unlike most traditional blades where the weight factors into the cutting capability the sword itself is too lightweight on its own.
- Blood Gem: The blade of the sword itself is dangerous to touch. Blood gems causing pain to flesh on contact and with small cuts there is a chance the user when cleaning can get poisoned just as easily as one being cut with the blade
Created by Sasori for [member="Nine Lives"], the blade it simple but sound in its design. Able to be used with her height and a single hand per traditional design. The difference is that the materials used are more regal. The inclusion of a blood diamond seemed to fit for her. THe little information that Sasori knew about the woman showed she hunted down and faced greater threats. A blade that would be able to offer some additional benefits with a blood gem. The blade itself suffers some problems being made from the synthmesh, while it can resist a saber and will get strogner with age it doesn't have the heft and weight of a sword for cutting and hacking power. The benefits of the blood gem in the blade is also a danger as it doesn't have an off mechanism. Nine Lives just as any one cut with it can be at risk of blod poisoning and the pain the blade can cause on contact. The katana is made with a shorter hilt that can allow it to be held with one hand though it can be used in a two handed gift it required. For Nine Lives the name and design she wanted for the blade were her own and a winter-esque sheath.
