Born to artisan Miria Pavond and mechanic Val’lyn Lee, both natives to Denon, Millu Lee spent her toddlerhood and early childhood in a small village in one of the less populated areas of the city-planet, enjoying all that a simple and quiet life can offer, such as fairs and playing in out in the open all night long without having to worry about violence and robbery. Her parents loved each other oh so very much, and were always the model of a perfect family in the eyes of the young girl. But had she only so much as gotten into her third year of school at the ripe age of nine and a half, Millu’s life was about to change, and everything took a turn to the worst. Val’lyn Lee decided to pursue a career in engineering as it was one of his biggest hobbies and he longed to have a better job to help his growing family, seeing as his wife and Millu’s mother, Miria Pavond Lee was pregnant again, this time with a son. The entire family moved to the city, where everything was big, crime was rampant, and the days were gray and dreary. But hope for a better future drew the family together, despite the young girl’s constant feeling that something very very bad was about to crash down on them.
Shortly after Millu’s tenth birthday, her mother Miria, and consequently her baby brother, died in an accident involving a speeder and its drunk driver. Val’lyn couldn't deal with the knowledge that had he not let his heavily pregnant wife buy their groceries alone while he worked, this could have been stopped. Slowly but surely, Millu’s father became brittle and neglectful towards her, and the girl felt like he couldn’t bear to look at her and see his daughter who every day looked more and more like her mother. He began to drink and come back only late in the night, sometimes even leaving young Millu alone overnight, then one fateful day, about a year after his wife's accident, Val’lyn told Millu that she was in danger, and had to wait for him to sort things out for them. He then left and never came back. After months of waiting hopelessly for her father to return, being fed by her neighbors, the young girl decided she had had enough and on the dead of the night, packed up the few things she had, and set out on her own. Being an eleven-year-old alone in the galaxy, with nowhere to go to, wasn't easy. But Millu refused to let that set her back.
One week after she ran away, Millu met
Cali Ziiva
, a pink woman who helped her move on with her life and taught her how to fix electronics. And that's how she spent the years from eleven to fifteen: Wandering around, doing odd jobs (mostly involving fixing droids and other mechanical things), and doing what she could to get by. Along the way she had a few accidents herself, thankfully not losing any of her limbs or life in the process, and in one of those, she somehow stopped a metal plate from falling on her. While being force sensitive wasn't something Millu was expecting, when she was little, she always heard the stories about the Jedi and the Knights of Obsidian and was absolutely fascinated. But she had no idea what to do about her newfound skills. The only thing she knew for certain was that her life was changed forever that day.
Needing money to feed herself and pay the rent, Millu took a simple job to collect a shipment of fruit from Thaere Privo and bring it back to her employer in Nexus Ortai. The girl, wholly inexperienced in driving a starship, forgot to check the fuel levels before taking off, resulting in an ugly emergency landing on Vandor. That day she ended up not just landing the damaged ship, but also landing herself a master in the knightly arts.
