- Armored Vessel: The Milvayne-Class Trade Warship has great physical armor along its hull to protect itself from most energy and physical projectiles.
- Below Deck Cargo Space: The Milvayne-Class Trade Warship has a large cargo bay much like the Lucrehulk; allowing it to carry supplies on the battlefield.
- High Weapon Count: The Milvayne-Class Trade Warship has many weapons along its build to fight against pirates and raiders that seek its cargo.
- Two Bridges: The Milvayne-Class Trade Warship comes equipped with two bridges in the event that one is destroyed; allowing the second bridge to take over operational function.
- Lacking Engine Protection: The Milvayne-Class Trade Warships lack adequate armored protection of its engines; leaving them vulnerable to fighters and bombers.
- Low Hanger Space: The Milvayne-Class Trade Warships lacks much hanger space in order to make room for more cargo; leaving it without significant fighter protection.
The Milvayne-Class Trade Warship was made after an increased number of pirate attacks upon its trading vessels within its corporate area of influence. Researching back to before the Period known as the Clone Wars the concept of the Lucrehulk-Class Vessels used by the Ancient Trade Federation underneath Viceroy Nute Gunray came to mind. Although the Modern Confederacy of Independent Systems had developed their own Lucrehulk-Classes before their collapse. The Idea for a new kind of vessel which would serve the same purpose but look aesthetically different came into the mind of both Chairman of the Milvayne Commercial Association Kaspar Biermann and the Deputy Chairman of the Milvayne Commercial Association Wolfgang Strassmann.
The First Prototype was designed by the Mancheron Association of Manufacturing & Commerce using their Grujia Shipyard contacts. The vessel came equipped with many powerful weaponry such as Quad Turbolaser Cannons which were a popular turbolaser class used by the Lucrehulk-Class Battleship; a modified version of the Lucrehulk Trading Vessel. The amount of weaponry was almost a problem considering that having a corporate fleet would trigger some semblance of the Clone Wars. To move around this problem the vessel was listed within the registry as a "Trade Escort" which was allowed to have weaponries to defend cargo convoys moving products from planet to planet amongst the outer rim and inner rim. Although the ship had powerful defenses as well with an advanced deflector shield generator.
Weaknesses within the design soon became apparent with the lack of fighter support and lack of engine protection. Although these flaws were considered small enough to not serious impact the ability of the warship to protect the assets of the Association. The Milvayne-Class was pushed into production named after the Planet of Milvayne which was the namesake for the Entire Association. It now serves as a leading vessel within the Milvayne Corporate Flotilla.
