- Description: Mimicyon are seemingly diminutive creatures whose bodies are almost entirely hidden underneath a disguise. From what can be seen of them, Mimicyon have inky black bodies and a pair of glowing yellow eyes which are free to move around its form entirely, but are most commonly seen above the tipped appendages serving as its 'feet', often peeking from beneath the veil of its disguise. A Mimicyon's most prominent feature is the old rag it uses to hide its true form, modelled crudely in the image of a Ukatian racyon with poorly drawn eyes, a mouth, and markings. It isn't uncommon for Mimicyon to be seen extending a clawed hand from beneath its veil. The number of appendages it has is currently unknown.
While a Mimicyon's body is certainly corporeal, its DNA makeup appears to have more gaseous qualities than solid. A Mimicyon's true form is impossible to pinpoint as all those who have seen it have depicted it with wildly different descriptors; the only description all studies have had in common was that its body was deeply disturbing to look at.

Strengths:
- Deceptively Deadly: While unassuming in their disguised forms, Mimicyon are surprisingly lethal creatures with the potential to be incredibly vicious. Even barring their true forms being enough to dissuade most from attacking it, should a perpetrator still insist on battling one, a Mimicyon has several skills at its disposal to both help it against assaults and to defend the person it's bonded to.
- Quite Handy: A Mimicyon's claws are razor sharp, and easily able to pierce flesh should it want to. Not only that, but a Mimicyon has an unknown amount of limbs hidden beneath its rag, only adding to the eldritch horror that constitutes its real body. These limbs, while able to get sliced through easy enough, are able to stretch surprisingly far and can serve multiple purposes.
- Let's Snuggle Forever: Contrary to popular belief, a Mimicyon's small stature isn't its actual height, but simply a conscious size it takes in order to appear cuter and more appealing. In truth, a Mimicyon's true size can grow to rather massive proportions-- up to six feet. When particularly enraged, a Mimicyon will increase its size, expanding its disguise with it. If the Mimicyon secures a tight grip on its victim, it will then shove them inside the bottom of its rag, engulfing them entirely in the inky shadow that is its true form, struggling within the confines of its disguise. Should the victim fail to escape, their body will suffer from the effects of cardiac arrest. Once the body is lifeless, the Mimicyon will begin to consume it.
- Bitter Determination: Mimicyon are incredibly hard to kill, as their unique properties prove stubbornly resilient. While most Mimicyon aren't naturally combative, they can prove to be worthy adversaries should they find themselves in the mood to fight.
- Disguise: A Mimicyon's disguise has a surprising heft to it, despite its slack appearance. During the beginnings of a battle, a Mimicyon's disguise often takes the blunt of the first few blows, completely mitigating the damage from the Mimicyon itself. Doing so will bust the disguise, breaking its 'neck' as the head falls limp to its side. Mimicyon don't take kindly to people busting its rags, and will often enter a state of aggression afterwards.
- Unfazed: A Mimicyon's true body is... tricky to deal damage to, as it will revert into a much more gaseous form should it suffer too many blows. While lightsabers and other powerful weapons will be enough to disperse its body and ward it off, permanently killing one is a lot more difficult than expected.
- Eldritch Horror: A Mimicyon is a dangerous sight to see for sentients, as its incomprehensible design instils a sickness in those that stare for too long. While this may seem advantageous in battle, it should be noted that a Mimicyon doesn't want to be seen; on the contrary, it desperately spends its entire life hiding itself.
- Irredeemable Monster: Ostracized from the very planet they're native to, modern Mimicyon have been raised with an awfully poor self-image. As a result, should a Mimicyon's disguise ever get badly torn or removed entirely during battle, it will completely lose the will to fight, instead choosing to flee to repair its rag as quickly as possible. The exact same outcome happens should a Mimicyon ever see its own reflection: it will be reminded of the hideous monster it is and simply forfeit the fight, far too depressed to continue.
- Aquaphobic: While conventional weapons such as lightsabers and blasters may have a harder time landing lethal hits, a Mimicyon's body is incredibly susceptible to water. Large bodies of water terrify Mimicyon, as direct submersion will immediately render it gaseous, unable to control its own body while it floats around uselessly. Mimicyon will often refuse to travel anywhere near lakes, rivers, and oceans in fear of getting wet. Even if one were to throw water on them and simply drench their disguise instead of their body, the ensuing sogginess of their rag would throw the Mimicyon into a state of disarray, panicking as the paint it worked so hard on gets ruined by the damp.
- Forceful Connection: There's a strange link between a Mimicyon and the Force that has it interact with those who are Force sensitive in rather peculiar ways.
- Booming Energy: A Mimicyon's presence is felt intensely through the Force, rendering it virtually impossible for it to hide from any attackers that are Force sensitive.
- Rip and Tear: The Force is an incredibly potent weapon against a Mimicyon. While their nature allows them to resist it for a few seconds, Force users are able to completely shred the Mimicyon's body with it, dispersing its form. Doing so won't kill the Mimicyon outright, but it will completely paralyze it as it slowly reforms itself, utterly defenseless. Should the Force user actively wish to kill it, all they would need to do is shred and shred and shred until there's nothing left to reform. A Mimicyon's disguise will make doing so trickier, but it becomes exponentially easier the more the Mimicyon exposes its true form; essentially advising it from using its strongest attacks.

CULTURE
- Diet: Mimicyon are omnivores; they don't have any preference for either meat or greens and are perfectly capable in exclusively eating one or the other without consequence to their health. When Mimicyon eat, they absorb their food by inserting it within the bottom of their rag to begin a process dubbed 'clicking'. When a Mimicyon clicks, it converts its meal into energy by devouring it in its entirety, leaving not a single morsel, bone, seed, or stem. Clicking is a naturally slow process for a Mimicyon, and they will often cease all other activity to solely focus on digesting.
- Communication: Mimicyon communicate in a language recently dubbed Mimikeese. Incapable of speaking Galactic Basic, Mimicyon communicate in high-pitched wails and cries reminiscent of echoes, and are generally viewed as unnerving noises. Like most languages, Mimikeese is able to be learnt and understood. Mimicyon are naturally receptive to basic and have no issue in understanding humans.

- Religion/Beliefs: n/a
- General behavior: Modern Mimicyon are solitary creatures, deeply lonely and in guttural need of human companionship. Despite their disturbing forms beneath their disguises and eerie sounds, Mimicyon are far from hostile towards humans and other sentients; they are, in fact, quite loving and eager to please. Mimicyon are troubled by their appearance, and most seem to detest the way they look, dressing up as a racyon in hopes of winning the hearts of those around them after witnessing the increasing popularity of racyon on Ukatis.
Mimicyon form deeply intricate bonds with the people that love and accept them. They are fiercely loyal and naturally subservient to their handlers, behaving more akin to pets than humans. Mimicyon grow jealous rather easily, and many have been abandoned by their handlers as a result of their obsessive behavior. Should a Mimicyon be abandoned, they will seek out the nearest racyon to kill for sport, bitter about their inability to be loved. Once its bloodlust has been sated, the Mimicyon will refuse to eat or take care of itself, and if they aren't taken in by another handler in time, will soon effectively kill themselves via self-enforced health negligence.
Mimicyon are incredibly attached to their rags, and will never be seen without one if they can help it. Mimicyon mate by intertwining the essence of their bodies, 'tangling' their appendages together. Mimicyon procreation is relatively fast and doesn't involve pregnancy; rather, their combined essence results in a gaseous cloud that slowly solidifies into a newborn Mimicyon soon after the mating process is over. Mimicyon will only mate if they have provided a rag for their newborn to immediately disguise itself with, and once their child is born, it is rare for families to stay together as a unit. Baby Mimicyon look no different than adults, and are born with a combination of its parents' intellect. As a result, most newborns are more intelligent than the young of other species, if a little more playful during their adolescence.
Mimicyon create their rags themselves. Once a baby is born and inhabits the disguise made by its parents, that rag becomes the young's responsibility. Disguises are maintained to both shield their disturbing true forms from human eyes, and to also blend in with wild racyon. Should anybody - or anything - ruin a Mimicyon's disguise, the Mimicyon will work tirelessly to repair it, sobbing to itself as it does. It never forgets its attacker, and once its rag is fully repaired, it will personally hunt down the assailant until either they or the Mimicyon is dead.
FORCE CONNECTIONWhile the Mimicyon themselves are non-sensitive, there still exists a rather unorthodox link between them and the Force. Studies are currently ill-informed and lacking in concrete data due to the difficulties in examining a Mimicyon without its disguise, but Force sensitives have noted a distinct energy that emanates from them, and interactions with Mimicyon curiously vary depending on if the user is aligned with the light side or the dark side. Those of the former, most commonly Jedi, are considerably more susceptible to an exposed Mimicyon's effects, suffering from greater headaches, nausea, and unease should they see its true form. Inversely, Sith are able to far easier tolerate the ailments, and rumors of Sith handlers growing stronger after bonding with their Mimicyon have been whispered across the galaxy. Whether these rumors are true or not is still up for debate.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Native to the planet of Ukatis, Mimicyon were originally creatures that wore no disguise, freely inhabiting the land. As societies were formed and other sentients began to populate the planet, Mimicyon became horrific sights, as a mere gaze to their true forms would cause deep pain in those that looked. Symptoms included throbbing headaches, nausea, and cold sweats, as well as a deep sense of unease that often led to visual and auditory hallucinations. Ancient Mimicyon were often referred to as Night-Jawas, and would occasionally be erroneously thought to be Sithspawn. Without the use of medicine to establish cures, prolonged exposure to Mimicyon would often lead to comas, or more frequently, death. As a result, they became subject to urban legend, reimagined as fairy tales to frighten children into behaving lest the Night-Jawa creep into their bedrooms while they slept.
As society progressed and counter-measures were provided in form of various medicines, the naturally passive Mimicyon were chased off of mainland Ukatis, forced into hiding among the planet's outskirts. As the years went by, the sight of a Mimicyon grew drastically rarer, and soon they were remembered only by scary stories to tell in the dark. With the foundation of modern Ukatis established, the Mimicyon observed society from a distance, discouraged and deeply saddened by their rejection, silently watching as the wild racyon became synonymous with the planet's mainland, cherished and adored by children and parents alike. Having grown jealous of the creature's rise in popularity, the Mimicyon sought to crafting racyon disguises for themselves in an attempt to return to society, hoping to be just as loved and accepted as their furry counterparts, thus earning them the modern nickname of a Mimicyon.
While public reception of them has greatly improved now that modern societies have moved past fables and fairy tales, the Mimicyon are still a marginalized race, existing in the shadows of the beloved racyon as they try fruitlessly to become a staple of human life. With the introduction of interplanetary travel, offworld Mimicyon now exist across the galaxy, though sightings of them are incredibly rare. Offworld Mimicyon have been documented to disguise themselves as other popular creatures, most notably loth-cats, porgs, and ewoks.
