Strengths:
- Utility Sidearm: A pistol designed for units who would prefer having something to be usable in any situation, rather than just a weapon that barely functions. This side arm provides various means of additions for Low light conditions, such as the Tritium Night Sights, as well as the Red-eye. A modifiable hair trigger to allow any user a preferred tension when pulling the trigger. Even a magnet clamp to allow the user to attach the weapon to themselves even if they might not have a holster. This weapon is meant to be the one and only side arm you need.
- Power in a Small Size: Upgraded with various cells, and even a power pulsator that can be regulated to provide more firepower than your average pistol. Comparable to a Heavy Blaster pistol in power output. Its enough to allow better penetration against lighter armors, with only pure plate armor being able to resist this pistol.
- Ironic Ionic: Using a housing made of Duraplast, the weapon is fairly resistant to EMP based weaponry. Allowing it to still function even when grenades go off around the person, or if they are struck with an EMP based weapon. Secondary to this, The weapon itself has a switch to allow an Ion Charger to provide a little bit of an Ionic based attack to the standard blaster bolt itself for those pesky shields.
- Not Fool Proof: Even with its protection against Ion based weaponry, its not completely safe. While smaller based weaponry it can resist, a planet wide, or even a City based EMP can still make the weapon shut down. It would require the weapon to be powered off, the energy cell to be removed, and reinstalled in order to function once more.
- Utility over beauty: The weapon is not sleek, its not special in its design. It was made to function above all else. Because of this, and its larger size to house all of the required components, fitting it into your pocket, or average holster will be difficult. So too, will the problem be of keeping the weapon hidden, or concealed.
- Just a Blaster: Unlike other weapons that may have special powers, or extra powerful shots. Its still limited to armor that can defend against it. Blasters can still easily be blocked by lightsabers. Its a blaster with some extra details.
There comes a time, when everyone needs a blaster. A sidearm that can be suitable in most situations given. While most often used as just a general defensive weapon that can pack a punch. Unlike its brother the CDEF blaster pistol, the Minutemen's sidearm was built to be a more beefy, utility pistol for all forces that would like to adopt it as their primary sidearm. Having suitable additions to a standard blaster pistol that was built to be cheap, and affordable.
Unlike its predecessor, The Minutemen sidearm is the practical weapon. One where even in low light situations, battlefields, or even personal defense.
