STRENGTHS
  • High Weapon Count: The Jägerin boasts many weapons between the weapons pods and the ones mounted to the fighter, making it a significant threat to enemy starfighters and even capital ships.
  • Sensor and Countermeasure Suite: The Jägerin carries an advanced sensor and countermeasure suite, making sure that this fighter is well-equipped to identify and deal with threats.
  • Weapon/Engine Pods: Unlike the Hund, the Jägerin does not have detachable weapon pods, as these have been enlarged along with the fuselage to house two additional ion engines. Their loadouts can be swapped, but it has to be done before a mission and not during.
  • Superior Maneuverability and Speed: Since the pods house additional ion engines, the speed and mobility of the vessel are astounding for its class. The uprated performance of Bella’s Jägerin further augments this capability, giving the craft extreme agility.
  • Void Stone: Synthetic Void Stone is internally distributed within the craft to protect it from the Force. The missiles are coated in the material as well, making it very difficult for Force-sensitives to compromise them.
  • Stealth and Distortion: The Jägerin has a full suite of stealth systems, allowing it to maintain an invisible sensor profile during most operating conditions. It is also capable of remaining concealed against most common anti-stealth sensors, including, but not limited to, gravity sensors, crystal gravfield traps, and mass sensors due to its gravitic modulators, magnetic sensors due to its magnetic field generators, thermal sensors, and to a degree, Force Sense and its derivative powers due to the Taozin undercoat and the Void Stone integrated into the craft’s construction. In addition, the Jägerin benefits from the addition of a Phase Masque, which works to effectively distort the craft's visual and sensory profile. Finally, a jammer suite gives the craft the ability to influence the electromagnetic environment in a given battlespace.
WEAKNESSES
  • Ace Custom: The Jägerin is reserved only for a single pilot—Bella. Thus, the craft is rarely seen and is liable to be outnumbered.
  • EMP/Ion Blasts: The Jägerin has many advanced systems that are a boon to its pilot, but after too many blasts from EMP/Ion weaponry it will reduce effectiveness if not knocking out certain systems.
  • Weapon/Engine Pods: Like the Hund, the Jägerin has a limited ammo capacity for certain weapon pods. Meaning that once they run out, it's only the weapons mounted in the wing roots that are available to the pilot.
  • SLAM MK. II: When the pilot engages the SLAM MK. II it disables all weapons systems until the jump is complete.
  • Void Stone: The internalized Void Stone protects the Jägerin and its pilot from direct applications of the Force. Unfortunately, this means that it can not benefit from friendly uses of it, most notably battle meditation.
DESCRIPTION
A unique, “ace custom” version of the Jagdhund, the Jägerin (translates to Huntress) is an elite superiority starfighter flown by Baroness Bella of the Imperial Navy. The modifications to the craft were overseen by Karl Von Strauss and were nothing short of extensive. In addition to improved engine performance due to certain safeties being overridden and systems uprated, the Jägerin also benefits from a full complement of stealth systems that give it a virtually invisible sensor profile. In addition, the starfighter serves in part as a testbed for newer systems—namely the newly-standardized FAE/S-09 Active Harmonizing System, which significantly improves the accuracy and precision of the craft’s gun and cannon armaments.

Even with its focus on function, form was not neglected. The craft has a pink hull, somewhat matching the color of its pilot’s skin. In addition, Bella’s call sign (Miracle One) is engraved on the port side of the craft, just under the canopy.

However, in spite of these modifications, the Jägerin still retains many of the same weaknesses and limitations as the base design. Even so, the craft is true-to-form ace custom, marking Bella as one of the Empire’s most elite pilots.
