PERSONALITY:
Mirah certainly comes across a bit bored and unimpressed, especially when dealing with people. She's not trying to be rude, but she really hates small talk, ice-breakers, and deep conversations. She's a bit awkward and tends to try to hide this behind a grumpy disposition. She has a soft spot for nature, plants, small animals, and pizza.
APPEARANCE:
A brown-eyed stare that generally says 'not amused.' She's fairly average looking, but may come across standoffish or mildly intimidating due to her mean-mug and darkly lined eyes.
BIOGRAPHY:
Mirah grew up on Coruscant, where her family was fairly successful. Her mother a doctor and her father with his own terraforming consulting firm. Academics were very important, and her parents drilled into her mind early on that studying came above all else. Needless to say, her childhood was not full of fun. In fact, she hardly remembers it – all of the time spent reading and researching seems to blend together.
However, she does remember one strange occurrence. A Jedi stopped by their family home after school one day. She hadn't been allowed to linger and listen, but she still recalled the way the old man had dressed. He'd worn a long, rather ratty-looking robe with a hood. From that day on, she'd formed an opinion about the mystical force users – they were weird. Her parents never spoke of the matter, and Mirah simply figured that he was there to try to raise some funds or something. What did Jedi do for work? She wasn't quite sure.
As she entered University on Coruscant, she began her studies with the Agricultural College. Her own interests had led her to majoring in botany, where she could hang out in green houses and labs. It was great, it didn't require interacting with many people – aside from the occasional presentation, that she muddled her way through.
Following graduation, she continued to work to gain additional certifications. Now, she is a botanist, working with a notable research laboratory. Recently promoted, she is now able to complete research missions on her own. She is mostly tasked with gathering samples for study, but she does occasionally get to indulge her fascination with carnivorous plants.
