STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+Popular - Mirana Praji enjoys the name recognition of the ancient House of Praji, one of the most influential houses of the Core and rumored to be descended from the mythical House of Praji that helped found the first Galactic Republic. While this connection has been difficult to prove in light of the plague that devastated most of the galaxy, the Praji Family has long benefited from this status and, combined with their vast wealth, have maintained their position as one of the most powerful noble houses in the Core. As a result, Mirana enjoys immense popularity among the people of the Core and she and her relatives have served in a variety of high-profile roles, wielding immense political power for centuries.
+Savvy - Mirana Praji grew up in a politically savvy househould. Her grandfather was a prominent politician during Coruscant tumultuous history and transition from the Imperium to the Alliance and her mother, Mina Praji served for several years as the Secretary of the Galactic Alliance Senate and Staff Aide to the Chancellor under Chancellor Emmen Tagge and Chancellor Adhira Chandra . Mirana attended university on Coruscant where she studied Galactic Politics and served as Press Secretary for Senator Ido Bastra until his assassination. This history has familiarized her with the political climate of the Alliance and given her sufficient name recognition among voters.
+Blessed and High Favored - Miran Praji was a loyal member of the Federalist Voting Bloc, despite her service to a Corporatist Senator. In fact, her influence on Senator Bastra is what led him to frequently side with Chancellor Chandra during her reign as leader of the Alliance. After Bastra's assassination, Chancellor Chandra made clear that Praji was her favorite to win the Coruscanti special election, an endorsement that eventually led to her election. Mirana's favor with Chandra has been a direct contribution to her meteoric rise in the Federalist Bloc, rising to the role of Minister of State.
-Ambitious to a Fault - Mirana Praji has long desired to be in a position of power, even while serving as Press Secretary to Senator Bastra, she longed for a more powerful status within the galactic government. When the late Senator vacated the seat she was the first person to declare her candidacy and used every possible avenue to eliminate her competition for the role of Senator of Coruscant.
-The Silver Spoon - Mirana is accustomed to a certain standard of living which has been granted to her through her familial wealth and service to various high-ranking politicians. Mirana isn't comfortable with anything that seemingly lowers her status including losing. This causes Mirana to result in questionable avenues to achieve her goals.
APPEARANCE:
Mirana Praji has a very similar appearance to her mother Mina. She has long blond hair, though in her late forties this color is artificially maintained, and wears it in a variety of unique and intricate styles to compliment the various silk and velvet gowns that composite her Senate Attire. Mirana is not only a member of the political elite, but also of galactic nobility which includes a variety of tiaras and jewels that accent her natural features and eccentric outfits.
BIOGRAPHY:
The daughter of Tytos and Mina Praji of Coruscant, Mirana was raised in a gilded world that was resplendent with the privilege her father's name had given them. The ancient Praji Family was regarded as one of the most important and powerful in the galaxy and legend said they had even been one of the original founders of the First Republic. Whether Mirana's family had any direct lineage to the Praji's of old, the mythic status of the name still commanded a great deal of respect in the Core. As did the vast wealth that her father's family had accumulated over the years.
One of several siblings, Mirana, who fell somewhere in the middle, was always exceptionally gifted with language, writing, and debate. Eventually would attend university first on Coruscant at the Galactic University and then Naboo at the Royal Academy at different points in her educational career where she studied politics, oration, history, and debate. Upon her graduation from the Academy, Mirana dove headfirst into the political arena, starting her career helping local politicians manage press briefings and messaging.
Mirana would eventually follow in her mother's footsteps to join galactic politics, becoming the Press Secretary for a prominent member of the Galactic Alliance Senate, Ido Bastra , and then, upon his assassination, ascended to his seat where she helped prop up Chancellor Adhira Chandra 's agenda. Chancellor Chandra would entrust her with oversight of the Ministry of State where she continues to wield considerable influence in the Chandra Administration.
