BIOGRAPHY:

Family:
Fulton Cailis - Father
Alena Cailis - Mother

History:
Miriya is a daughter of aristocracy, the only child of Alena and Fulton Cailis, members of the Corellian elite. From the time she could walk and talk, the young Corellian blonde was schooled in the ways of a proper lady (etiquette, piano lessons, etc) , a prospect she never enjoyed, but was made to be agreeable with once she was given opportunities to indulge in pursuits more in line with her interests (self defense, etc), and the choice to go to school with the one girl she had singled out as her best friend, Sora Glayde.

One day, Sora died, caught in the crossfire of criminal activity. Miriya was devastated, that she had been helpless to save the closest thing she had to a sister, and swore she would never let it happen again. Her mother, however, was indifferent, and had always done the bare minimum to signify that she was a mother at all, and stated that perhaps now, her daughter would be more devoted to her place in life. It was this, this that made the young girl want to get as far away from the cage that was built for her as possible. It was at this time that Rhuan, the family butler, became her mentor, confidant, and friend.

Through Rhuan, she learned more that was of true usefulness than her formal schooling could ever teach her. He really taught her to fight, to conceal, to deceive, and persuade. They had discussions of real events, and philosophised into the wee hours, and through him, she acquired a respect for tea, and a calm centre. He effectively made her what she is, passing on all his knowledge to her. And to buy her freedom from the cage when she was eighteen, he gave up his life, kneeling in prayer to some obscure god, and she, as instructed by Rhuan because of some obscure ritual, cut his wrists, kissed him as a sole, finalizing show of what she felt for this man who had been her ever constant companion… and fled.

For the first year, she was in the company of the son of Rhuan and his crew, pulling off jobs of theft and smuggling, until the situation became untenable and her life was threatened by the son… for which he was killed in self-defense. Miriya kept on the one other crew member she thought she could trust, and drove the rest away, keeping the ship for herself. For another year, she and Goylus Apaertise continued the work, focusing more on higher-paying, higher profile jobs of theft, until Goylus betrayed her as well. From then on, for the next six years, she worked alone, and this was her most successful time, making away with works of art (sold through a broker - who became a good friend - to the highest bidder) and artifacts (which she often returned to the rightful owners, without charge, if the tribe or family still existed).

When Miriya was twenty-three, the broker, Salyna, retired upon marriage to open a teahouse on Amfar with the help of Miriya and her financial backing, the Corellian blonde began to think about getting out of the business herself. At the age of twenty-six, when that day came, she made the decision to turn her attentions to another matter - her sensitivity to the Force. As well, she wished to spend a little more time helping others in useful ways, protecting the helpless, and proving that she is not helpless herself. Nowadays, on the anniversary of Rhuan’s death, Miriya goes to the teahouse to drink sapir tea and fulfill the last promise she made to Rhuan - to significantly help someone in need, once a year.

SHIP:
The Mitternacht is a well-maintained, stock YT-2400, with a black and silver-star-speckled paint job. It has been overhauled once since Miriya’s acquisition of it, whereas the prior owners had kept it together with… basically, duct tape and bubblegum. Miriya has toyed with modifying her baby since, but has not yet been wholly convinced of the necessity, as it has served her well enough between her skills, and its basic outfitting.

WEAPONS:
1 x Electrostaff
1 x Handmaiden's Staff
1 x Sasori Staff

Other weapons at her disposal will be added. There should be daggers, etc.

KILLS:
None.

@[member="Ordo"] You have a point. But then that raises another point... and that is if you're not stabbing to kill, then any other option is purely for amusement, or to slow someone down. I have my own good opinions on all three options. ;)
