Evvar Roxupa
Character
The squadron of fighters exited hyperspace before the smoking and burning ship that had once been a luxurious starliner. A ship floating dead in space only had so much time before pirates inevitably came to loot it. Evvar had much experience in dealing with such scum, thanks to the ever-constant threat of the Dusate Pirates on the doorstep of the Lilaste Order. He was content with his job of cleansing the filth from his pocket of space, but in time he knew he would grow ambitious. To destroy every raider gang in the galaxy would be a tough goal to meet, and it was impossible now because of the Order's isolation from galactic politics.
But that was changing now. High Commander Laphisto was getting out there, and Evvar appreciated that. Maybe it was time for the Order to be seen: as a beacon of hope among the victims of countless marauders around the galaxy, and as a terrible threat to the latter that would dare infringe upon the peoples' right to live. This mission had to be a success for the Lilaste Navy, for the Order as a whole. It could just be one small victory that would give them enough momentum to be a major player. At least, that was where Evvar's mind was at.
"Flight Leader, all wings check in," Evvar said, flipping switches and setting his combat frequencies.
Talons One, Two, and Three checked in, each from Evvar's own small squadron of four Phoenix interceptors . He had also taken command of Cloud and Krayt squadrons for this mission, each containing 8 Basilisk fighters and 4 Pegasus D5 bombers respectively. Of course, this wasn't all the firepower they would be getting. High Commander Laphisto would be arriving soon as well with backup.
"All wings, form up. Talons, with me. Fighters, escort the bombers, two each. Let's see what they've got," Evaar ordered, cracking a grin underneath his oxygen mask.
