Mission Impossibru (PM for invite)

Bastion
Some Big Important Government looking building.

Infiltration. It was something the Galactic Alliance had trained their SIS agents to be good at. Most had the force to help them out, Ally on the other hand had a few tools and tricks up her sleeve. Data and energy swirled around her hand while she filed her fake data and information into a data pad. It wasn’t that hard to get the data she needed uploaded into the system. According to the information, she was a lovely citizen of the Empire and she was here visiting her beautiful parents. Ally had to choke down the lie as she announced her support for the Empire along with a pathetic excuse for an English accent.

It didn’t take the agent long to get to her little hole up apartment. She began to set up her network for her hacking and began to work. She watched as everything lit up and then realized there was a small issue in sector 23. Frowning, Allyson did her best to use the force to force the sector to relay messages. It seemed it was a faulty line and no matter how much Force was active – it just wasn’t going to work. Sighing softly, she ignored it for a bit and ate a pizza she had ordered. Once that was finished and she did her evening contact with Kaili that had a bonus for the evening – a cold shower was necessary.

The shower took longer than the young agent expected, it seemed she missed home more than ever. Once she was dressed and the cover of night took over, she dipped out into the streets and headed towards the building that was her target. There she remained hunched over in the shadows playing with the small network of thread like cables. She needed sector 23 more than anything – without it her mission was null.

SECTOR 23

"Puny humansss cannot get the job done." The Trandoshan hissed as the reptilian sentient slowly got to his knees and started dragging up another crate from the repulsor-lift to the little storage annex attached to Sector 23, one of the information supply nodes of Bastion's infrastructure. The capital of the Sith Empire was infamous- one of the few remaining fortress worlds in the Galaxy that was almost impossible to invade successfully. The only way to subvert it was through... sneaky sneak means, as Ao had explained to Kazmai.

Cowardly approach.

Face your foe to their face, watch the life flow out of their eyes, enjoy the taste of their life-water... that was the only true way. But what else could one expect from the humans? They made cowardly behavior into a galactic sport as far as Kaz was concerned.

"Then we show them we are better." Kaz finally retorted with no patience for today. This was beneath them. He knew that. Klizzz knew that. Ao dramatic pause Xian knew it more than anyone. But apparently the Dark Lord himself was to take a tour of this sector today. It was good for the humans' moral, seeing their glorious leader walk amidst the mortals and the small. That was why Kazmai and Ao had been assigned here to work menial jobs while they waited.

Extra security.

It was an honor apparently. To be trusted with the protection of the Emperor.

Kaz would rather have smashed a few more heads in at their frontlines, but what was a Simian to do? "Your Radiance, are you comfortable?" He asked politely to the creature. The eye-rolling from his brother alien sentients was ignored pointedly. Kaz did not expect them to understand- he let them believe their heresies and he'd believe his truth.

The turbolift descended and the doors opened to reveal the grim, stern face of the Sith Emperor. He was flanked on either side by two of his steel-armored Crownguard which followed behind him in utter silence, the gentle banging of their saber-pikes on the durasteel floor being the only sound generated between the two.

A small mousy individual shuffled up to the Emperor, his head bowed low and in reverence to the towering warrior-king. "My Emperor, this is an unexpected pleasure -- we are honored by your presence." The Emperor waved his hand, indicating that the man should quiet himself. "You may dispense with the pleasantries, Minister, I am here to ensure that nothing interferes with the security of the Empire." That seemed to puzzle the Minister, he had neither been informed of the Emperor's arrival nor of his reason for being here, but to know that it concerned matters of state security was...

Disconcerting.

"Forgive my asking, Immortal Emperor, but what do you mean by security? Has there been a breach?" Again, another wave. "That remains to be seen." In truth, the Emperor was down here only on a hunch divined through the Force by his Voss Oracle. Something was vibrating a thread of destiny, and the source of the disturbance had been traced to Sector 23; although the cause had yet to be determined. Still, it was enough to lure in the Emperor.

"Guide me, Minister. I would inspect those under your purview."

"Not even remotely," came the reply from the pile of Xykan on the top of the crates.

Ao was bored.

If Kazmai thought this was beneath him, well then, imagine how far below her it was. The fact that the Sith themselves knew about the intentions of the Dark Lord- called ahead to look over things, only to find this one sector reading oddly- even if the scurrying minster did not, well, while one might call it an honor, Ao was slightly more dubious. It looked like busy work to her.

This, she decided, was a job for insects. Not Sith. Certainly not Sith like Ao'Xian.

And yet, sometimes necessity moved them, and here they were.

Whoever should have been monitoring sector 23, reporting when it had gone down, should be executed, she decided. She would gladly take care of it. Nodding to herself, the idea gained traction. Yes, that would be good.

Anyway, she was hungry.

She breathed in deeply, nostrils flaring. And then she frowned. Slinking slowly off of the crate she lifted her head, scenting the air.

"Someone is near who doesn't belong," she breathed, mane rippling.

[SIZE=10pt]Allyson started to curse under her breath as she felt the sparks of the wires touch against her finger tips. This wasn’t going to be the easiest job and that was the most annoying part of this entire thing. Remembering back to before she left she promised Kaili that this was going to be a quick and easy job. The job was just to create a wire network for the SIS to tap into conversations of the Sith. This would have allowed the SIS to get a step ahead of the Sith in cases of war and terror. Something tickled the back of her mind, she knew what that feeling meant. Kaili had taught her well as a Master of the Force.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]“Not now, not now…” The tickle meant that danger was lurking nearby which meant she was possibly compromised. Time was of the essence and she needed to work faster. Reaching into her vest she pulled out a few more wires and wrapped them around the fried ones. She just needed a moment to revive the connection. Laying the wires near the panel, her hand hovered over it and her other hand reaching up to the earpiece she wore. The earpiece connected to the frequency the wires were also connected to. She just needed to hear the white noise to know that everything was a green light. The force flowed through her as she focused it on the wires. Feeling the electromagnetic waves mix with the force brought the wires to life. She quickly attached the wires back to the command panel and waved her hand over a few times. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Information flashed in her mind as if she was staring at a data screen. Seeing these images through the Force insured that the command panel was active and feeding information to her home drive back at the apartment she was staying at. Closing the small pouch with her tool she cleaned everything up and shoved it into the pocket of her vest. A hand moved along her thigh as she insured her blaster was there, she knew trouble was closing in on her and she needed to get out of there. Exhaling through her nose she stood up and began to leave the sector to head back to where she was being housed. The feeling of dread faded as she nodded, this was going to go back to being easy, thank the Force. [/SIZE][member="Ao Xian"] [member="Darth Carnifex"] [member="Kazmai"]

Kazmai froze when the Goddess spoke of someone who did not belong.

The last crate was settled carefully, he breathed in and out, then nodded. "Then we hunt." Kazmai retorted while grabbing his hammer from where it had been leaning against the wall. Already the anticipation of battle was enough to improve his mood, the adrenaline starting to rush through his veins and making him feel more alive. The rest of the squad were told to spread out, covering the exits, once it was made apparent that their prey was on the move.

The simian followed Ao, whose mustache twirled as she tracked the scent through her means. It didn't take long- just the turn of a few corners and down a corridor when Kazmai noticed the vaguely human-shaped individual walking away.

Oh, this human tried to be smart and seem unhurried, but Kaz saw the light spring as they attempted to speed away. "Human, halt." His voice roared through the corridor and seeing as there was no one else in this quadrant right now... there was no mistaking that he was talking to her. If she ignored him... well. It would be best for everyone involved if she didn't.

Even if Kaz hoped she would.

"As you can see, my Emperor, the proud workers of Sector 23 toil to bring greater glory to your name... A-and that of the Empire, of course!"

The Minister was as wormy as they came, and the Dark Lord would have suspected that it was he who was the cause of this disturbance; but from all accounts he was too cowardly to actively work against his Imperial masters so close to their seat of power.

No, there was something else that had drawn in the Emperor of the Sith.

Something that lurked... His wrist-comm started to beep, a blinking red light indicating a priority message was on hold for the Emperor. Carnifex accepted the message; prompting the face of a grizzly looking Trandoshan to materialize in a blue holographic light just above the communicator. "Massster, we have located the intruder. They're in the ssstorage annex." The Minister's face went deathly pale at those words, thick specks of sweat starting to accumulate on his forehead as he glanced nervously between the hologram and the Dark Lord.

"Milord, I will scramble the gua-."

"You will do no such thing, Minister. I have much more capable agents already in the field, all you need to do is place this building on lockdown and keep the workers at their station." He then turned towards the Trandoshan's image, "Apprehend these wretches with all due haste, I will be joining you shortly."

Carnifex cut off the transmission, and began his trek to the storage annex.

Ao Xian

Everyone Forgets the Tail Flick
She could smell her warmth, the way the blood moved beneath the skin, even before they turned the corner. Whoever she was, she hadn't been on Bastion long. She hadn't absorbed the scents of the world, hadn't let the greyness seep into her flesh, her lungs.

She didn't belong.

Combine hunger and boredom in the soul of a Xykan, and there is no wait. Sapphire eyes flashed. While Kazmai offered a warning, a chance, Ao gave no such leeway to prey.

And it had been too long since she had been offered someone not under the protection of the Empire.

Like three whole days.

Ao'Xian struck like a snake. Moving more like water than muscle and sinew, the Xykan closed the distance in a heartbeat, mane rippling and jaws opening as she leapt. She went for her neck, no warning given, no quarter offered. Kazmai had of course given away their presence- he didn't have the soul of an ambush predator, but she could forgive him for that. At least, she would when she was thinking of anything but bearing the interloper to the ground beneath her, teeth on her throat.

[member="Allyson Locke"] [member="Kazmai"] [member="Darth Carnifex"]

Allyson hurried she was in a place she didn’t belong and she was an agent of the SIS. Of course not everything worked out as planned and she heard the booming voice of what were obviously the guards that were probably meant to protect this place. Allyson didn’t want to stop, if she stopped that meant apprehension, though if she didn’t stop that meant they were going to shoot her. Either way this was going to end up with her dying or getting away injured. Groaning, she reached down and grabbed the blaster at her thigh.

At least she was going to fight her way out of this rat hole, turning on her heel she came face to face with a leaping creature. Raising an eyebrow, she pulled the trigger of the blaster and fired four shots into the beast. As she fired the gun, the last thing she wanted was this thing on top of her. With a side step, she adjusted herself and dodged the initial attack. Still, it was close and there wasn’t much she could do besides shoot. There was another she felt him, but couldn’t quite pinpoint his place. “Down doggy!” She shouted towards the thing with fangs, at least she assumed it was a dog… [member="Ao Xian"] [member="Darth Carnifex"] [member="Kazmai"]

Ao Xian

Ao let out a high pitched squeal, aborting the leap as the first blaster bolt slammed into her shoulder- her back legs not off the ground yet, she changed directions, the second bolt scouring across her scales and the last two missing. It wasn't a controlled direction change, and she slammed into the far side of the corridor, writhing in pain, coils roiling like turbulent waters.

It might appear as a dramatic over reaction, but the Xykans were overly sensitive to pain, and it burned.

"I am not a dog!" she shrieked, struggling to get up, but her right shoulder refused to take the weight at first and she leaned against the wall, growl turning into a whimper before reclaiming a growl. She hissed in pain. Looked down at her shoulder, then up at Kazmai.

"She shot me!"

There was surprise and offense in her tone. And also a little bit of a whine if we're being honest.

He had given Ao space during her leap.

His size, corridor just fit enough for him? Would have been a mess otherwise. That went out of the way once his Goddess was hurt, insulted and squealed in pain. Hot breath escaped his nostrils, smoke, dark, anger, it filled every fiber of his being. A soft roar build itself up through his lungs. "You die." At first Kazmai had only been interested in capturing her, give her over the Saaraishash and have that be it. But this was a transgression that demanded blood.

So it was that right after Ao's surprise and offense last remark that Ally suddenly had a 700 lbs ape storming at her.

There was nowhere to go.

This beast was all-encompassing and right now it was going for a hug, but there was nothing gentle or affectionate about it. She would be crushed, torn apart and she would die. Unless a certain Dark Lord would decide to rein him in, of course. There was every opportunity for that.

Yup. Any.... daaaaay now.

It took another lift ride to reach the appropriate level of the storage annex, and another brisk stroll to arrive where he needed to be.

As he rounded the corner he caught the tail-end of Ao's wounding, and the start of what would've been the intruder's gory and grisly death at the hands of the enraged Ma'alkerrite ape-man. That wouldn't do, of course. The Dark Lord wanted this brigand alive, perhaps harmed, but still breathing.

He reached out with the Force to seize both Kazmai and Allyson, willing their muscles to freeze and lock in place so that neither could carry out what they had started.

This was a more difficult task with the ape-man than it was with the smaller woman, but he could afford neither to act at this moment; for Kazmai to brutally murder the woman or for the woman to scramble away to freedom.

"Enough."

This wasn’t good. Allyson had avoided the dog creature who was now whimpering in pain. This was her chance to get out of here. Though it was obvious the dog was shouting at something else in the darkness. Ally turned to look and saw something that towered over everything in the corridor. If things couldn’t get any worse. The beast was mad and she wondered if the small creature and the beast were friends, would Sith be friends? It would have to wait of course, without having those fancy tricks of the Force – Ally just had her feet to rely on. Turning she moved to run from the lumbering creature.

Yet, just as she thought about the fantastic powers most Force users possessed, she was quickly stopped in her tracks. Her blaster remained in her hand as she did her best to try and angle it towards the beast. Maybe if she got a shot off, it would stop snarling at her. A voice echoed and she blinked and stopped moving. There was one more in the zone and Ally groaned and looked up towards the ceiling. “Really?” Shaking her head, she sighed and mumbled herself about this supposed to be an easy mission and the last one etc. Since there was someone who could speak basic and hopefully wasn’t covered in fur, Ally called out.

“I uh, think we have a hug misunderstanding here. Yeah? You can let me go and we won’t have to mention any of this to anyone. Sound good?”

Ao Xian

Everyone Forgets the Tail Flick
Ao had never directly interacted with Carnifex. It wasn't unexpected- he was the Dark Lord, the Emperor, and they both were busy people after all. That didn't mean she did not know precisely who this was, from the moment his presence had roiled over the scene.

Untouched by his grip in the Force, the Xykan regained her feet. Shaking out her mane, she padded up behind him, limping possibly more than was warranted, but it was difficult to tell if that was because she was simply more sensitive to pain or if she were being dramatic. The jury was out. . Not touching him (never touching) she curled slightly around behind him, peering out at Kazmai and the girl creature with glimmering sapphire gaze.

"She is an interloper, Dark Lord," Ao murmured, looking up at him. "She does not belong here, on Bastion. In this place. I can smell it."

Ao didn't know where the girl creature came from, just that it was not a world to which she had been. She did not know who she represented either, but that hardly mattered to her.

All of a sudden every movement of his was arrested.

Not a single muscle could move voluntarily... but that did not stop the momentum of his mass crashing through the air right towards Allyson. She could not move away and he could not change his trajectory. This was going to be painful- for one of them anyway. With a flop the large simian creature collided with the humanoid, dashing her against the wall with his weight pinning her against it.

She might be in a lot of pain right now.

Kazmai couldn't really appreciate it when his body stopped taking orders from him. He struggled with it, trying to break free, trying to eat her face. Teeth snapping, but the tip of her nose was just an inch too far away.

"Dark Lord." Kazmai grunted out, saliva spraying as hunger came into view. "This one has harmed one of ours, Radiant herself. She deserves to be destroyed."

The struggle was meaningless.

All that the Sith could be glad about was that the initial crash between himself and the squishy one would not have been a pleasant experience for her.

"She will be destroyed for this intrusion."

The Dark Lord moved Kazmai through the air away from the pinned interloper, setting him down gently but not yet releasing him from his control. The Ma'alkerrite ape-man was known for her ferocity, especially when the object of his worship had been slighted in some fashion.

Getting injured ranked up there.

"But not before we peel back the layers of her mind to find what there is to seek, chiefly her reason for being here." He now used his control over the woman to levitate her through the air towards him, allowing the Sith Emperor to get a good look at her. His eyes narrowed as he judged her features, his nostrils flaring as if he got a whiff of something he didn't like. "You were right, Ao, she does not belong."

He then released his grip on Kazmai while forcing the woman to her knees in a particularly painful manner, "But if she's so insistent on being here anyways, I will make sure that her bones find their home in the dirt."

[member="Ao Xian"] | [member="Kazmai"] | [member="Allyson Locke"]

The monkey crashed into her and Ally groaned with pain. She tried not to think about the popping noises of her joins and the strain against her body that now surged through her. Thank the Force she was built a bit tougher than normal humans so she would hopefully bounce back from this with nothing too broken. Once the beast was pulled off her, she could breathe again and inhaled deeply followed by a painful exhale. Yeah, things weren’t all right with her right now.

It seemed the human looking one was talking and oversaw this whole thing. He was the one that was holding her with the Force and she wished she had something to break his connection just so she could get away. Groaning she opened her eyes to see who this man was, he was nothing familiar, but the way he smelled her was weird. His words were worrisome and she did her best to try and possibly talk her way out of this. “Eh, I just took a wrong turn. Nothing serious. There’s no…feth, feth.” Her body twisted out of her control as she felt the weight of something move her body.

Gritting her teeth, Ally did her best not to cry out from the pain on top of the pain that she felt from being crushed by the fuzzball. Finding the ground under her knees she did her best to catch her breath from the intense pain she felt when he forced her down. Her mind went to work manipulating the force around her wrist comm. First, she would send the distress signal to [member="Kaili Talith"], then once it was sent the system would wipe and disable itself. That would be enough to cause some sort of panic in the Borleian girl.

Eyes fell on the man as she forced a smile on her face, “Ahh I’m really not fond of this place – hggnnhh, could just…” Allyson cursed and tried to move herself and stand up, but he was too strong with the Force for her to break loose. “Just let me go, no harm…yeah?”

Ao Xian

Ao stayed where she was, head rising slightly to get a better look at the interloper herself.

In truth, she didn't look like much at all.

But looks were deceiving and Ao rarely let herself be lulled by such a surface thing.

"That would be such a waste of bones, though," she said, a bit plaintively. "Full of rich marrow."

She didn't drool thinking about it, but it was a close thing.

"Does- does she need her fingers? Dark Lord? For what you are going to do, surely she does not need her fingers."

Forked tongue snaked out, tasting the air only centimeters above the woman's hand.

"May I eat them?"

Kazmai growled but restrained himself enough for the Dark Lord to release him.

He did not enjoy being man-handled by man, but the slight would not be acted upon today. Maybe never. It all depended on the following moments and how Carnifex reacted to their requests. The simian slowly made his way back into the small circle, the kneeling human, the looming Dark Lord, the spinning Goddess and him. He eyed that human, she was... repulsive. No economy of body, inefficient, hairless, her eyes dopey and spinning around in its sockets to find a way out of this for her.

There was none.

"Dark Lord. She needs not her knees to cry her secrets to you, let me... wipe out any chance of her fleeing." The paws curled tight around the hilt of his hammer, the darkness building inside of him as rage was tempered and restrained.

Kaine would feel it.

The anger simmering. It needed release and this was not a squishy human he was dealing with, Kazmai would not be cowed.

He cupped her chin with his hand, forcing her to look up directly into his baleful eyes.

"Oh, but there will be harm."

He let go of her chin, but he balled the same hand into a fist and sent it crashing into the side of her face. The kinetic force of the punch was enough to send the smaller woman sprawling to the floor, where she would be further pinned by the Dark Lord's command of the Force. He took particular care in making sure that all four of her limbs were splayed out and open.

"This infidel requires neither her fingers or her knees, you may relieve her of both."

At times the Dark Lord could be just as monstrous as his fiendish companions, for the hate in his eyes burned like the embers of a dying sun; smoldering and bitter.
