Mitth'orn'eruod has proved himself a skilled and capable strategist over a long military career within the CEDF, after he graduated the Chiss Academy within the top 1% of his fellow officer trainees. His early career involved several successful skirmishes against hostile encroachment into Chiss space by the Vagaari, the Gryst and numerous other threats. His capacity for planning, adapting and overcoming opponents served him well, as he continued to make a name for himself within the Ascendancy.
His largest contribution to the Ascendancy was the rebellion orchestrated against the corrupt and tyrannical Ruling Houses, who had started to place their own profit and benefits above those of the Chiss people, in direct contradiction of the culture and law. The effort was successful, the tyrant Houses were deposed, and new Ruling Families were appointed by the Chiss people to better serve the Ascendancy as a whole.
At the age of twenty-two, Mitth'orn'eruod was promoted to the rank of Admiral with the CEDF. He was given command of his own fleet, provided with a top of the line Chiss Destroyer, and went on to complete a number of successful campaigns. His more recent exploits involved pushing back the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium in the Unknown Regions, where Mitth'orn'eruod spent almost six years fighting back the remainder of the invasion force, following the Imperium's attempts to regroup after Dosuun.
More recently, Mitth'orn'eruod has returned to Known Space, where he has been temporarily allowed active service within the First Order, to finalize stability operations as a continuation of his Unknown Regions campaign. However, his absence from the Ascendancy for several years resulted in the exiled tyrant Houses making a return, and once again taking control of the Chiss people...

Mitth'orn'eruod is a tall, broad-shouldered individual who has cropped black-blue hair, red eyes and is clean shaven. His face has been described as angular, with a strong jawline and sharp cheekbones, and tends to maintain a passive expression that hints toward a scowl. He holds himself in a very confident manner, though tends to remain understated with minimal flair or bold movement, and rarely feels intimidated when facing most individuals. His most prominent feature is the large forehead scar over his left eye.
His clothing usually consists of a First Order uniform, dress pants, with military boots. He also tends to have several personal defense weapons on his body, at all times, which include a charric blaster and vibrodagger - both of which remain concealed. Mitth'orn'eruod takes his military appearance seriously, and always ensures his uniform is up to code.
-
Strengths:
- Strategist: Like others of the Chiss, Mitth'orn'eruod shows very high aptitude for tactical thinking; as a result he is a cunning strategist, able to utilize both standard and unorthodox methods to overcome his opponents, in a variety of circumstances.
- Observant: Throughout his life, Thorne has displayed an incredibly high capacity for remembering and recalling details and observations; he can even identify disguised individuals by their gait, mannerisms and speech patterns and recount large quantities of information at will.
- Adaptive: Like several others in his family, Mitth'orn'eruod is capable of assessing, analyzing and learning from unpredictable situations, which most Chiss struggle with.
- Combatant: To protect his person, Mitth'orn'eruod has trained extensively in self-defense, and is a skilled blaster pistol marksman and master in Teräs Käsi; he is well-versed in the Nine Edicts, and the physical and mental aspects of the martial art.
Weaknesses:
- Specialized: Mitth'orn'eruod has specialized in Navy warfare, which is to say that beyond his personal skills, his remaining military training is basic; this includes charric rifles, vehicles, explosives, etc.
- Obdurate: Mitth'orn'eruod is very intelligent, logical and able to perform impressive cognitive feats; so when his methods or plans are questioned, he can dig his heels in and double down on a decision.
- Average Pilot: Mitth'orn'eruod is a very average pilot, and tends to rely on his personal droid or subordinates to handle the task; as such, if he pilots, he remains focused on not crashing rather than showing any capability with starfighter combat.
- Revenge: House Mitth has lost standing as a Ruling Family once again, which has left Mitth'orn'eruod hateful of the returned exiled Houses, as his efforts to free the Chiss people in the past have seemed for naught.
- Xenophobic: Mitth'orn'eruod has developed a similar xenophobia like most of his species, though he has become more tolerant of humans, he still is highly suspicious and cautious around non-humans or non-Chiss.
