OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Following an extremely difficult heist, Leenic determined that the best way to guarantee the odds of success for his group was to design a somewhat cheaply produced ship that could be used as a fleet flagship during naval engagements. To supplement this need, Leenic devised several Naval cannons from the pre-existing VLD2261 Defense cannon, retrofitting its design so as to mount it atop large naval craft such as battlecruisers and similarly heavy ships.
His personal ship, the Dragon, was the first to be outfitted with these, making her an extremely dangerous foe at long range.

- Internal Targeting Computers: Built-in targeting computers within the gun's systems allow for near-seamless communication between the main rangefinders in the bridge and the individual gunner crew inside of the turret, enabling far more accurate firing than most. And in the event the primary rangefinder is disabled, the guns will still be able to fire accurately on their own.
- Heavily Armored: The Mk-001 Naval Cannons have built-in armor of similar caliber to the "Golden Dragon", enabling them to take quite the beating before needing to be evacuated and repaired.
- Crew Stations: The gun has four crew stations, meaning that the process of aiming, firing, and loading are all significantly faster when fully crewed, and the gun can take several casualties before being disabled.
- Autoloader: In order to speed up the reloading process, an autoloader was installed into the guns to allow for near-instant reloading during combat and training scenarios.
- Heavy: Due to its immense weight, the turret struggles to turn at a fast rate, rendering it nearly useless against faster ships at close range.
- Crew Stations: Although it has far more survivability due to its crew capacity, the turret requires double the amount of crew as a normal Naval cannon, forcing more crew space to be devoted to guns and taking away space for extra maintenance or security personnel.
- Auto-Loader: Due to the nature of the Autoloader, a large portion of the ammo is stored directly inside of the turret, significantly increasing the risk of premature ammo detonation if the turret is pierced by gunfire.
- Long Range Primacy: Due to its weight and the caliber of its guns, the Mk-001 Naval Cannon is all but impractical at close range against highly maneuverable craft, meaning it has to be supported with an array of secondary naval cannons to prevent this weakness from being exploited.
