STRENGTHS
- Manoeuvrable, Adroit: The Prowler was designed to be used on-the-move, never stopping long enough to be flanked, only useful in the employ of one with enough of a killer-instinct that requires a wide range of movement and does not stifle them when on the hunt.
- Holy Utility, Batman!: The many gear options available to the wearer, dependant upon their mission parameters, in conjunction with the host of useful sensors, scanners and other computerised systems provide the wearer the efficiency and utility needed for any situation.
- Not Impenetrable, But Good Enough: The Prowler suit puts up an impressive all-around defence against the common types of weaponry encountered by the Empire's many foes. It is not the strongest out there, and it does have its weaknesses, but overall it does provide strong protection to its user.
- Reflec-tive: The stealth capabilities of both Prowler armour plates and its bodyglove are modest but effective.
WEAKNESSES
- Battery-operated: The miniature fusion battery mounted at the back of the armour is well-protected and shielded, but if the wearer takes enough damage from the rear then the battery would be exposed and subject to being destroyed, therefore rendering all of the advanced technological systems and enhancements useless until the armour can be repaired.
- Not Radioactive: The Prowler is vulnerable to weaponised radiation attacks.
- Corrosion: The Prolwer is extremely susceptible to acidic/toxic substances.
DESCRIPTION
A set of armour built to fit the bionic-enhanced soldiers of STRIDER Company perfectly, neither hampering their range of motion or weighing them down to the point they cannot remain mobile, dangerous and frustrating for any foe unlucky enough to face them.
The helmet is fitted with state-of-the-art technology systems that only serve to enhance a STRIDER's combat capabilities and resourcefulness when in battle or on long-range reconnaissance. However, Prowler armour was never intended to coddle its user by allowing them to wade foolishly headfirst into a hail of gunfire - instead meant to provide a quick, resourceful, tactically-minded trooper with every technological aid they might need to stay one step ahead of the enemy. The under-armour bodyglove uses both susurra-weave and a reflec coating which both dampens sound and warps light and sensors away from the armour, while the composite metal plating is coated with electro-chemical camouflage paint which, when charged on demand, alters its colouration to reflect the nature of the armour's surrounding environment. It is not perfect, but if the trooper is close enough for it not to be effective, they have surely already plotted the death of their foe.
