SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The platform can lower up to 8 meters from the ventral hull of the starship.
  • Can lift roughly 1,950 kg.
STRENGTHS
  • Powerlifter: This system has enough lift strength to raise and lower an average-sized, average-weight landspeeder.
  • Stable: With four tracks split between two sides of the elevator, the platform is incredibly stable and won't tip.
  • Hull integrated: The underside of the platform is a piece of the starship's ventral hull plating. This allows much more strength than a hatch-based elevator. In the raised position, the elevator's underside serves as part of the hull, sitting flush and airtight with the underside of the vessel.
WEAKNESSES
  • Unshielded: A lack of elevator walls and an exposed track system in the down position adds some risk to using this elevator in a combat situation. Not only are people using the elevator at risk, but if the elevator is disabled while lowered, you can no longer retreat, as your ship is now unpressurized and unsafe for spaceflight.
  • Jammed: If any of the four tracks are stuck, damaged, or become misaligned, this elevator system will become jammed, remaining stuck until the damaged track is repaired.
  • Slow: Among all cargo elevators, this is certainly one of the slowest. If you have smaller items, it would certainly be more efficient to simply carry them aboard.
DESCRIPTION
Designed following the success of the Mk I and Mk II Votoly systems, Adumar Advanced Starcraft Design and Repair sought to expand the use of track movement systems within its products. The Mk I Votoly-Vurg is a purpose-built tracked cargo elevator for starships, providing ground crew access and loading capability to cargo holds or garages that are raised 8 meters or less off the ground.

Out Of Character Info
