- Bolters always were devastating weapons. This heavy bolter model is no different. Small craters are often left behind from the weapon's impacts. The potential for wounding in a casualty radius extends outward from the blast.
- Explodes on contact with lightsabers or any solid surface.
- A solid Duravlex hip bracing or fixed tripod are optional to help with weight, recoil and aiming.
- A comfortable Silicon grip exists for it's anti slip properties.
- Can be vehicle mounted.
- PLA-CORR Coating and Finish 50% Anti-Corr and 50% Plasteel. Offering superior resistance to weathering the natural elements, scratch resistance and keeping a shine.
- A truly devastating weapon. There is no other way to describe the history of bolters and their impact on galactic warfare throughout the history of our universe.
- Very large and very heavy. It would take a species of very high strength to use this effectively from the hip. The tripod allows average species to use it from a fixed position but the weight of the weapon even then is very hard to manage for most.
- There is a minimum range on this weapon. If you fire too close you are going to blow yourself up.
- No advanced cooling technology, sights, or aim assist, just pure damage potential.
- The ammunition is about the size of a palm. Carrying multiple rounds to reload many shots in the middle of a fight is unlikely.
The bolter series of weapons has a long and devastating history. More wars than this correspondent can count were settled at the end of their barrel. Overtime like most things, more advanced weapons were designed, easier to use, and with more features. That said, there is nothing like a piece of living history. So Fire For Effect were long ago given payment to bring out a new series of bolter models, but given infighting within the company's parent corporation Apex, this project along with many others was stalled indefinitely.
After axing certain staff, or pulling the melee weapons out of their problems, Fire for Effect had modernized and revitalized the subsequent bolter design. Fitting it with custom paint schemes fit for the associated companies that originally ordered it. There are several options being offered for the final coloring, some might say too many. People have always liked designing or painting their own custom color schemes, and the occasional rewrite of the weapon's surrounding lore. One enthusiast called it part of the fun.
One technician noted, although it has a high ammo count, it also has a high fire rate, meaning it runs out about as quickly as you'd expect.
It is unlikely that this weapon will see open market, bolters being such a envious piece of technology to horde for oneself. If only for the sound they make just before the explosives land.
Why just remember history when you can hold a piece of it in your hand, and then promptly eviscerate your present.
