Intent: One-Off evolution of the Languor-Class for the specific role of meeting the same standards as Ragnell Squadron's T90X Elite Starfighter Project in compliance with CIS Navy operations.

Development Thread:
Manufacturer: Ri'ess Regal Drives
Model: Languor-Class Superiority Fighter - MMSX-777 "Star Scythe"
Affiliation: Saera Savan (Personal)
Modularity: None
Production: Unique - One (Reproducible if Destroyed)
Material: Aluminum-Durasteel Alloy RAM Spaceframe on Titanium Alloy Chassis
Description: The Languor was the third craft ever designed by RRDI. While originally developed to be a space superiority fighter for the elite branches of the Royal Navy, a need for mass produces fighters coupled with its simple but effective layout and cutting-edge form made it a must-have for the entire royal military. Immediately, RRDI - so far exclusively contracted to the Confederacy of Independent States and the Techno Union - prioritized the orders and focused virtually all of their assets on quickly and effectively producing these fighters. They were also made for sale to private buyers and other contract-approved organizations, though external sales are limited to small orders.
The MMSX-777, codenamed "Star Scythe," is a one-off fully custom Languor built by RRDI's orbital ring yards for Saera Savan for her endeavors in assisting the CIS's Ragnell Squadron. Among the many upgrades large and small were the stripping of the former turbolaser loadout for smaller, lighter vulcan blasters, the removal of both twin ion cannons for a singular heavy model to reduce weight and space-consumption, reduction of missiles from four per bay to three, the addition of a stealth cloaking system and the retrofit of the space behind the cockpit to tightly house an AstroMech Droid in similar fashion to an X-Wing. The stripping of weight of the weapon systems allowed for a post-military-grade hyperdrive to be installed, using a similarly crystal-powered hyperdrive core. The hull was also overall lightened by adding a aluminum to the spaceframe alloy.

The three proceeding ships using pontite cloaks were all just as effective as stygium cloaks, the only real problem with them is that it's a relatively unheard of technology and, in my opinion at least, should be RP'd as such. But it's mostly flavor. Just thought I'd pop in and let you know before you do two dev threads for this even though I haven't reviewed your first just yet.

At 300m effective range I don't think the Z-24 would make a very effective space weapon and at 4 thousand rounds a minute, they'd definitely be pulling a x2 modifier. The point five hyperdrive will also need its own dev thread or a dev thread specifically for this ship that's not the cloak, I'd also recommend that under classification you mention that this is an elite starfighter letting people know that its on that template and can be pulling the increased performance over other fighters. I'd also like to know what a QAAM missile is as I can't find it in the wookie or subbed here.

[member="Domino"] - Wait, can I have just the Pontite without the Stygium, and then do the Hyperdrive core for a total of two dev threads? Three's a bit of a stretch for me ATM.

Handheld rotary blaster cannons have never been denied on my submissions in the past. I'll submit a Rotary Cannon purpose-built for aircraft then, with a larger caliber and slower ROF, and let you know when that's approved. In real life, kind of weapon on a fighter wasn't made to be ridiculously long in range as its primary role would be for gunning enemy aircraft at close range where a slower-firing cannon has much less of a chance of getting any hits; 4,000-6,000 rounds sounds amazingly powerful until you factor in short range with high maneuverability of targets, rendering it ineffective against stationary armed targets and difficult to strike against mobile targets. Slower vehicles like the Apache and Warthog use large rotary cannons for hardened ground targets, usually firing at a rate of almost 45 rounds a second (~2,500 R/M), but they both operate at sub-sonic speeds where they don't risk crashing into their target within seconds of forward flight or missing forty five out of fifty rounds. I can assure you from personal field that all of this information holds relatively true.

It already said Elite Starfighter.

Real-life high guidance beyond-visual-range Air-to-Air missile technology. I've had real-life missile tech approved before. This one's even on the production model Languor. I'll replace it if necessary, only because I'm actually starting to lean away from using AA missiles for this.

PS: You were telling me a weapon carried by one man is as powerful as two vehicular laser cannons. lol. *imagines a Czar walking into battle with two gigantic laser cannons under his arms*

So it did, apologies, I must have been looking at the roll. And yes, you may just use the pontite without the stygium provided that the CIS has shared adegan cloaking tech with you. Funnily enough, they got it from me.

As for the QAAM, I ran a google search and all it came back with for missiles was one from the Ace Combat game series that has nothing to do with long ranges. Meaning that not only is it game tech, it's not even SW game tech.

[member="Domino"] - No worries, no harm done.

I have access to a broad range of CIS tech, as I'm part of the Techno Union's executive council. Isley knows about this project and has not stated any objections to the use of Pontite in its stealth.

QAAM is just an acronym. If you want to be really technical, they are classified as the following:

Sorry if it's quite a read. Alas, I'll rewrite the name fully to be less confusing.
