MOAB BASTRA

Moab Bastra was born on the planet Socorro to a poor family that struggled to make ends meet. Growing up in poverty, Moab had to fend for himself from a young age and learned to be resourceful and street-smart. As he got older, he began to dabble in the criminal underworld of Socorro, working as a smuggler to make a living. He began operating out of an old S-161 “Stinger” yacht that he had christened the Swift Bandit.
However, Moab's life changed drastically when he was involved in a near-fatal accident that left him severely injured. Determined to survive, Moab underwent extensive cybernetic modifications to replace his damaged body parts. The surgery was risky, but it ultimately succeeded in making him stronger and faster than he had ever been before. His time in the underworld also taught him how to seek out, manage, and talk himself through alliances and deals in order to survive.
With his new cyborg body, Moab was able to take on even riskier jobs as a smuggler, earning more money than ever before. However, as he grew older, Moab began to feel a sense of dissatisfaction with his life of crime. He yearned for something more meaningful, something that would give him a sense of purpose. He soon began collecting holobooks as well as the traditional plunder he received from his smuggling operations. Moab learned to carry himself in a more refined manner, intending to go legitimate with his skills.
Eventually, Moab decided to turn his life around and use his skills for a more meaningful cause. He approached the Guild, an organization in the Braxant sector dedicated to mercantile efforts as well as subterfuge, and offered his services as a spy. The Guild was initially hesitant to trust a former criminal, but Moab's reputation as a skilled smuggler and underworld agent convinced them to give him a chance. He even repainted and renamed his ship from the Bandit to the Lasha Vespero. Since his employment, Moab has served the Guild tirelessly, acting both as a spy and as a deal-maker as a front for his presence.

- Erudite: As a spy, Moab is a very intelligent and resourceful person. In his time, he has learned many languages, kept a network of old contacts from his smuggling days, and overall keep the aura of a mere advisor for the Guild. He also has a bit of a silver tongue, being careful with how he words his speech to others in order to keep the scent off of him...or to have them in his thrall.
- Modded: As a cyborg, Moab has parts of himself that operate as above human. Namely his cybernetic eye can see in more fields of vision than normal humans and his limbs are stronger than average human capabilities.
-
- Electromagnetic: One downside to his cyborg nature is that they malfunction in the same ways that droid pieces can. Ionic or electromagnetic weapons can disable his cyborg parts.
- Unnerving: His extensive cybernetics, including a vocabulator replacing crushed vocal chords, can make him seem unsettling to some. Not to mention those who know of his extensive criminal background may also be concerned about his motivations.
