One of the "Proving Rooms"

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Proving Rooms:
The bottom few floors of the Monastery are large rooms where initiates with aspirations of becoming a Knyght must fight to the death, two to a room. These rooms are all connected, steadily growing fewer in number the higher up the station you go, mimicking the tournament like structure in which initiates slay each other, starting with hundreds of initiates but ending with two. These rooms may appear simple, but they are equipped with holographic recorders capable of recording all audio and visual in the room to be stored for later review.

Uplifting Chamber: At the center of the station is the Holy Sepulcher, a great machine used in the creation of Knyghts. It is a simple enough machine, using automated processes to break down much of the hosts body and reconstruct it as one of the super soldiers with added genes and biomass. The machine also creates daily injections for the Knyghts to fight the virus steadily eating away at their genetic code.

Bioreactors: The many who die in the process of initiation are fed to these great highly efficient bioreactors that turn biological material into energy, which is stored across the ship in battery banks. Some of this biomass is automatically re-routed to the Holy Sepulcher for the transformation of initiates or the creation of the daily injections.

STRENGTHS

Hornet's Nest: Filled with fighters, any ship that comes unprepared will be swarmed.

Thick Plating: The Monastery has been designed with the Knyght's individualist glory seeking culture in mind. Knowing full well the Knyghts would refuse to use the station as a weapon itself, it relies heavily on its fighter compliment and thick heavy plating to survive with only a few small automated canons scattered around the station.

WEAKNESSES

Siege Tactics: Should you surround the station and prevent it from getting the fuel for its bioreactors, eventually it will run out of power and everyone inside will lose life support.

Fighter Sabotage: If someone was to somehow clog, block or destroy the fighter bays the station would be mostly defenseless.

DESCRIPTION
One fourth holy temple, one fourth barracks, one fourth defense station, and one fourth planetary ground response station, the Monastery of Slaughter is an all around station designed specifically with the Knyghts in mind. One station was designed to be able to use its Knyght compliment to effectively hold a planet from everything except a major invasion force. Each station has a massive cathedral, prison, proving/hunting ground, fighter bays, dormitories, and everything short of a farm to keep the Knyghts secure and capable.

The Holy Sepulcher used to uplift Knyghts.
The gold opens to act as a temporary sarcophagus for the host as they are reborn a Knyght.

This place runs on the dead bodies of failed initiates? That's pretty metal.
  • As per the current Starship Templates, only Major Factions can field 5 KM military stations at Limited Production. Please make it clearer that your character and company are dependent on the Brotherhood of the Maw staying Major to field it in such numbers, e.g, "Affiliation: Ssloak-Goa, via the Brotherhood of the Maw".
    • While you're at it, please link the Brotherhood of the Maw in Manufacturer and, should you so desire, Affiliation.
  • As I mentioned in the Divine-Eagle, specifying the Hangar Space rating (in this case Extreme), not just the number, is the intended way to fill in the template. I am well aware that they were posted at around the same time, but please keep this in mind in future submissions.
  • Your submission is two points underbalanced, should you so desire, you may choose to raise one rating by two points or two ratings by one point each; I only note this because I was already requesting edits. Overbalanced submissions are an issue, underbalanced ones are not.

AMCO AMCO

  • Removed Ssloak-Goa references, seeing as he and his cult are a part of the Brotherhood it just makes more sense to only mention the Brotherhood especially when it could cause a misunderstanding. Linked the Brotherhood in manufacturing.
  • Added Extreme to hangar space. Sorry about that for both subs
  • Bumped up defenses to Extreme and Armament to Average.
