Name: The Monet Nyrkit (Many Fists) of the Salai Kasi
Intent: To Give Vorhi a small entourage of monks to aid him in the occasional project.
Affiliation: They are members of the Salai Kasi, loyal to the Grandmaster. Should other members of the minor faction display activity, they may command a squad or two with prior approval.
Availability: Uniquely taught and trained by Vorhi Alestrani. You'll have to train your own monks.
Type: Infantry, melee, force adepts.
Strength: The entire company consists of ten squads, referred to as "Nyrrki," or "Fists" in old Palawan. Each squads has six members including the kämmen.
Each squad is led by one "Kämmen" of "Palm", a force sensitive adept trained in Teras Kasi techniques, as well as utilization of a Force Pike. The kämmen serves as both a tactical leader and mobile assault personnel, and is trained in low-level applications of mental resistance, force speed, and force-body. They are not trained in ranged-force attacks, as Vorhi has never had a knack for telekinesis, much less instructing it to others. They are roughly Knight level in the powers they have been trained in.
The second in command is the "Peukalo," or "Thumb," trooper. The Peukalo serves as a strategic asset and advisor to the Kämmen, and is trained in demolitions. They are the least skilled in hand-to-hand, but the ones known to carry medical and technological gear, specializing in breaking and entering, as well as recording data and recovering information. Observers with knowledge of the CIs will recognize the robes as those of the Librarians in the Templar division that worked under Vorhi Alestrani. These thubms are trained in Force Sight and educated on various forms of lore, being highly knowledgable in a variety of Force-based combat techniques, and how to coutner them effectively on the battle-field. They often carry a blaster pistol, a holo-computer with multiple datajacks for interface, as well as some basic breaching gear and explosives. They wear light armor, unlike the robed members of the team. They are also roughly Knight level.
The remaining four units are referred to as the "sormenpää," or "finger tips" of the squad. They are trained in hand-to-hand, and often wear shock gloves into battle. They are trained in force-speed and multiple forms of Teras Kasi, using their mobility as a team to strike and disable opponents. They do not carry ranged weapons, but are known to add either vibro or shock weaponry to their arsenal from time to time. They are apprentice level.
Description:
Trained in the Monaster on Cerea, Vorhi's members within the Salai Kasi are force sensitive adepts he has especially trained in his own forms of Teras Kasi and Martial discipline. While they are no masters in their own right of the force, they are often capable squadrons, each Fist moving with precision and discipline on the field to strike targets Vorhi needs confiscated or struck down. It is rare for all ten fists to be in one location at the same time, unless Kivi Apua itself is in danger.
Vorhi will occasionally travel with one or two fists in tow in the event of an emergency, but as a rule, he prefers to fight his own battles unless he feels the need for a decisive strike. The primary responsibility of the fists is to either strike down a dangerous threat before it gets too powerful (a selkäsauna) or the acquisition of an artifact, either for Vorhi's own research, or for quarantine (Murtovarkaus). Vorhi often will send his fists on a mission that he feels is important, but outside his own busy schedule of training and developing things.
The green and black robes were modeled after the Templar designs of the Early CIS Templars, as well as modeled after Vorhi's own work with the reliquary divisions. He does not discourage light of dark-side ideals among his groups, but he does espouse balance. As a rule, he tend to put Palms and Thumbs at opposed ideals in the same group, teaching them to prioritize the missions over agendas and allowing them to learn from conflict.
