TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Throwing Vibroblade
  • Size: Average
    • Length: 19.5 cm
  • Weight: Heavy
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Remote Link
    • Can be controlled by Khal’vyssa via an ion-scrambled and ghostwave-channeled bio-hexacrypted short range comm link, allowing her to interface with them remotely. This typically takes the form of a neural link, but it can be interfaced via other means.
  • Taozin Skin Nodule
    • Taozin skin nodule primarily functions to conceal the weapon from precognition, danger sense, and Force senses. Secondarily, the taozin nodule renders the blade extraordinarily difficult to seize control of via telekinetics or some other method of the Force by making it nigh-impossible to “lock onto” the weapon’s signature, due to its ability to blur and cloud Force senses.
  • Mono-Molecular Blade
    • Blade is honed to a single molecule of thickness. Thus, it is extremely, surgically sharp, increasing potential cutting performance.
  • Svolten Rhyolite Treatment
    • Allows the blade to retain its integrity and cutting power even after sustaining hard impacts with the blade of a lightsaber or with especially dense materials.
  • Trapped Grip
    • Controlled by an integrated biometric authentication access control system which allows only Khal’vyssa and anyone she permits to activate and wield the weapon. Each blade has an anti-catch / theft system, whereby the grip will discharge a potent electrical energy field in the event that the weapon is handled by an unauthorized agent, with the potential to cause severe burn injuries to the victim.
  • Microrepulsor
    • Each blade has a miniaturized repulsorlift engine capable of independent flight at typical speeds of 340 m/s, with a maximum speed of 850 m/s in a standard atmosphere. The engine is also rated to function underwater, albeit with reduced speed (typical underwater speeds of 100 m/s and maximum underwater speed of 150 m/s). A blade can be remotely controlled by the wielder via remote link, allowing it to be directed in flight.
    • Gravitic Stabilizer
  • Sound Dampening System
    • An integrated sound damper that renders the blade completely silent, making it ideal for stealth.
  • Gyroscopic Stabilizer
    • Integrated gyroscopic stabilizer, which improves the stability of the weapon in flight, ensuring that the blade stays aligned with the target.
  • Ultrasonic Vibration Generator
    • A high-grade vibration generator, the ultrasonic vibration generator causes the blade to vibrate with extreme speed and force, giving the weapon the ability to tear through flesh, hard organic carapace, thick stone, and heavy metal alloys the likes of titanium and durasteel. In addition, the blade has the potential to inflict devastating, gaping wounds and possibly even dismember, with only a touch.
  • Poison Reservoir
    • The blade has a poison reservoir that is compatible with a range of different poisons, treating it with the poison inside the reservoir. However, only one poison type can be deployed in the reservoir at a time. Naturally, the reservoir can be left empty as well, should the wielder choose it. The reservoir can be filled with virtually any poison, but the most commonly used types are listed below:
    • Devaronian Blood-Poison
      • Devaronian Blood-Poison has the potential to cause extreme, potentially debilitating pain upon making contact with a victim’s flesh with even a glancing hit.
    • Senflax
      • Senflax has the potential to induce paralysis or numbing effects in a victim’s body. It can also compromise a person’s focus, possibly disrupting their ability to harness the Force.
    • Blood Boiler
      • Arguably the most gruesome of the compatible poisons, when introduced into a victim’s bloodstream Blood Boiler has the potential to turn their blood into acid, possibly inflicting excruciating pain and even causing a victim’s body to eat itself from the inside out.
    • Sith Poison
      • Most often utilized against Jedi and Light-aligned warriors, Sith Poison has the potential to amplify the rage felt by a victim by triggering a chain of chemical reactions that diminishes their ability to resist the Dark Side.
    • Mgehye ot Lloig | Ruiner of Mind
      • Mgehye ot Lloig has the potential to inflict a wide range of effects on a victim, the most prominent of which might include vivid, terrifying hallucinations and weakened willpower.
    • Synox
  • Resilient Construction
    • Owing to its construction, the blade is quite resistant to lightsabers, vibroblades, and energy weapons for its size.
  • Collapsing Mirrors Retraction System
    • The blade can retract within the hilt via molecular disruptor mirror cells for safe and easy storage. Otherwise, the weapon would be nigh-impossible to sheath due to its sharpness. From here, the weapon itself can collapse down to a fraction of its size.
  • Sith Runes
STRENGTHS
  • Twisted Flesh: Each Moonflower Kiss has a poison treatment system which is used to treat the tip with a given poison inside the reservoir. These poisons have the potential to inflict a host of deadly effects, possibly compromising a victim's ability to fight, in the process.
  • Slippery Clouds: The taozin skin integrated into each Moonflower Kiss’s construction blurs and clouds the preternatural senses of a Force wielder, potentially hindering the effectiveness of various sensory powers when focused directly on the wielder and the weapon itself. The taozin also renders it extremely difficult to “focus” on a blade, making it extraordinarily difficult to seize control via telekinetics or some other method of the Force. Pertaining to technology, the stealth polymer coating makes it nigh-impossible for targeting systems and sensors to register and lock onto the weapon.
  • Swift Slaughter: A high-powered miniaturized repulsorlift engine in each Moonflower Kiss boosts the velocity of Khal’vyssa’s throws to blinding speeds, while a downscaled gravitic stabilizer gives the weapons the ability to resist tractor beams and repulsorlift jammers.
WEAKNESSES
  • Target Lock: Assuming one can overcome the blurring capability of the integrated taozin (which functions to make the Moonflower Kiss harder to “lock onto” onto), the blade could then be manipulated telekinetically, often to knock them off-course. Other than their stealthy nature and Force sense-blurring characteristics, they have no inherent resistance to telekinetics.
  • Mechanical Mutation: Like any piece of technology, the Moonflower Kiss will be susceptible to mechu-deru and other technology-twisting powers if left unprotected. A talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce an overload or some other failure that might compromise much of a blade’s advanced functions, potentially reducing its potential cutting power or compromising one of its utility features in the process.
  • Melee: As the blade is both short and small, it has no real utility in melee. The small grip section does not facilitate its utilization as a stabbing implement.
  • Zero: The blade's Sith Runes will cease to operate when placed under the effects of Force nullification. While this will not wholly compromise the weapon as the vast majority of its features are based on technology, the interplay between the Sith runes and Force nullification fields is a factor that merits consideration.
DESCRIPTION
Given to Khal’vyssa upon her rise to the rank of Kissai in the Shikkari priesthood, the Moonflower Kiss throwing blades are a set of throwing vibroblades forged within the Shadow Forge in the Sith Citadel on Dromund Kaas. Constructed from a dense neuranium core and a Kazqyâtyit-enhanced Fyrirdögun blade, the weapon is extraordinarily resilient. The mono-molecular blade and ultrasonic vibration generator gives the blade excellent cutting power, with the ability to tear through hard organic carapace, thick stone, and heavy metal alloys the likes of titanium and durasteel.

The blades are designed for stealth, featuring a sound damper and a stealth polymer coating. A poison reservoir allows the blade to be used to deliver poisons. Throwing velocity is quite significantly improved with a microrepulsor, allowing the blade strike targets with incredible speed and force. This same feature can also be used to call the blade back to the wielder.

All in all, the Moonflower Kiss throwing blades are ultra-lethal implements, ensuring that Khal’vyssa has a reliable, yet silent assassination weapon to dispatch the foes of the Eternal Father and the Shadow Hand.
