- Description: Moonveil’s APD is a privately funded, well-trained civilian Security Force which protects & monitors their assets across the Galaxy. Each Officer is provided the tools & training to act as joint Medics/First Responders to any emergency the company might face. Employees are often hired from the local population, but there are exceptions.
Individual Officers are equipped to deal with minor medical emergencies & threats, and tasked with protecting both assets & Moonveil Employees from harm. They are not heavily armed, and therefore are not capable of withstanding heavy opposition; the one major strength they possess is in the number of Officers employed by the Company. .
Specific Skill Sets, as well as Rank, are denoted by color; the accent color visible on each uniform indicates an individual Officer’s position within the Division as well as any special skill-sets he may possess. Examples include:
Yellow: Supervisory Position; Sergeant. Tasked with management of Personnel.
Red: Administrative Position; Lieutenant. Tasked with management of Personnel. Interfaces directly with Moonveil’s Operations staff at a given site to direct workflow.
Purple: Administrative Position; Field Supervisor. Highest rank achievable by most - Field Supervisors are expected to remain adaptable, as their posts may change depending on needs of the Company. Field Supervisors may travel from post to post, assisting wherever they’re needed. These officers are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism at all times, and are therefore the highest trained & highest paid.

- Combat Function: The APD’s primary Mission is to observe, report, and respond to any disturbance or potential breach of security occurring at one of Moonveil’s numerous locations. Officers possess training in armed & unarmed combat, customer service, de-escalation & conflict management, local laws regarding use-of-force, and numerous other subjects which provide them the skills to do their job effectively.
Officers will typically respond en-mass to any disturbance, and attempt to mitigate through either conflict resolution/negotiation or direct action (if necessary). They are expected to avoid use-of-force unless the situation cannot be rectified otherwise. As they are civilians, many of them live in, or nearby, whatever Site they are employed within. Therefore, they often know the local customs & language, and are likely familiar with the worlds upon which they work.
APD Officers possess a modicum of training in small unit combat, self-defense, and squad tactics. They are trained to flood an area with personnel & overwhelm any threat through sheer numbers & uniformed presence; if they have to resort to force, they will do so as a team, and attempt to protect lives & property first. - Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A

- Civilians: Members of Moonveil’s Security Forces are recruited from the common public, and as such, most are only in it for a paycheck & health benefits.
- A paycheck ain’t worth this: Some encounters (such as extremely hostile, violent, or dangerous environments/circumstances) will cause these uniformed officers to back off & let more experienced forces deal with the issue.
As Moonveil’s reach has expanded to encompass worlds outside of Coruscant, their need for a dedicated Security Force grew with them. To meet this need, a new Division within Moonveil’s Administration was created: Moonveil APD - The Asset Protection Division.
This group operates exclusively under the Moonveil, Inc. Support & Logistics section, and employs Civilians, Veterans, and those with experience in Private Security & Customer Service from civilized worlds across the Galaxy. Each officer is well-trained & equipped, then supplied with the knowledge of their particular planet’s laws & regulations governing Corporate & Private Security.
While they do not typically possess the power to arrest, they are given freedom to operate on Moonveil properties and answer directly to their chain of command. On some planets, such as Denon, these officers might possess responsibilities & powers similar to CorpSec - but Moonveil retains them as personal security, and does not often hire them out to other Corporations, businesses, or private clients.
