Personality - Mordecai Zambrano is the absolute definition of his namesake "little man." While obviously not being a person of small stature, but rather when compared to his elder brother. Morde doesn't possess many of the characteristics that his sibling exhibits and was much more quiet and calculating in his mannerisms, in stark contrast to Kaine's cruelty and his knack for getting violent quickly. Almost eleven years junior to Kaine, he still got all the attention that his brother did. Ambitious with an everlasting thirst for power, he can be even more ruthless than a typical Zambrano.
Often studying, Mordecai spent his earlier years in solitude. Taking private lessons in everything from arithmetic, swordsmanship, military history, and even expressed a sincere interest in the more darker aspects of philosophy and the natural state of life. He was no less educated or trained than his family members and strove to live up to his namesake better than anyone else - by himself.
However, that all changed later in his life. During his later twenties, he met a woman named Carly Crete. Little did he know that she was to soon become his soul mate and wife. Carly introduced him to compassion, care, and the tenderness that was the love of a family. Mordecai changed. From hate and cruelty to honor and compassion. Since he is a Sith, though, he hardly shows that side to anyone but his family and those closest to him. In battle, he is still powerful and vicious.
Simply put: he's a simple man with a not-so simple life.
Appearance - Thick coiled muscle and dark, wavy hair are the best ways to describe Mordecai. With an aura of darkness and superiority about him, he's the very definition of a Sith Lord and knows how to walk the walk while talking the talk. Since his earliest training days as a cadet in the Panathan military academy, he prides himself in his ramrod posture that would make Drill Sergeants weep in failure to discover flaws.
Standing six feet, two inches, Mordecai wields a two hundred and twenty pound frame of primarily toned muscle and steel-coiled tendons. A stern look is usually the occupying factor of his facial features besides the most noticeable mark about him: his scar. A dark red, almost pink, scar runs horizontally across the bridge of his nose and inner cheeks. That scar, gained from a lightsaber, serves as a constant reminder to never display weakness. Ever.

Lightsaber Combat - Offensive capabilities and preemptive tactics are typical aspects of Mordecai's fighting style when in regards to lightsaber combat. Specializing in Djem So and Shien, he takes the fight directly to his opponent and shows no mercy until he has either won or has to withdraw. Mordecai's early musings with Shii-Cho allowed him to develop basic skills before finally moving into Djem So.
In addition to his standard ground fighting, Mordecai is a mounted warrior. Wielding a dual-phase lightsaber, he often is seen riding Rhaegos, his Arkanian dragon. When riding his mount, the blade extends and becomes something of a lance and the pair dominate the skies with fiery fury and the experience of decades of war.
Mordecai exhibits a master over both Shien and Djem So, rivaling even some of the greatest lightsaber duelists of that form to date. This is partially because of his lack in a variety of Force abilities, so he makes up for it by being a master swordsman.
Force Abilities - Pyrokinesis is arguably Mordecai's greatest strength in the Force. The manipulation and generation of fire out of sheer force of will came soon after bonding with his Arkanian dragon. Nomadic years spent on the galactic frontlines saw them practicing with one another, using his natural ability to breathe fire as a training aid. His skills with Pyrokinesis are second only to that of the famed Shapers of Kro Var.
Aside from that, he is well versed in the arts of Sith Alchemy and minor Mechu-Deru abilities, albeit most of these being utilitarian in nature. The basics of Force combat are also in his arsenal, to include telekinesis and many Control and Alter abilities.

HISTORY
Mordecai Zambrano was born to Ramses and Viktoria Zambrano, ten years after his brother Kaine Zambrano. Due to political unrest and the scheming hostile nature of the ruling family of Panatha, the Zambrano family relocated to Thyferra in order to construct a new dynasty there. By now, his family had already been progressing quite smoothly with his elder brother growing at an astonishing rate and House Zambrano's ambitions almost easily within reach. As for Mordecai, his earliest years were spent in solitude aside from the usual family dinners and mandatory occurrences. While Ramses and Viktoria were shaping Kaine to be their sword, Mordecai was being turned into their shield. Quiet and guileful, Mordecai studied and learned the art of politicking at an extremely young age.
Typical days went by in his childhood. Days, often weeks, were filled with nothing but nonstop studying, training, and observing the inner workings of his quite intriguing family. And his usual life soon ended in his early teens when his brother, in the middle of the night, murdered both of their parents in cold blood. It wasn't like Mordecai cared either, they were merely two beings who clothed them, gave them food, and gifted them with an education. Although a conclusion hit him; he had nowhere else to go and the family was already in tatters. Without regard to him, Kaine had already left to pursue his own muses elsewhere.
As for Mordecai, he took a more standard approach by heading back to Panatha and entering the military academy. Indoctrinated immediately into the military lifestyle, Mordecai would spend the next four years of his late teens in order to become a military officer. More specifically he was to become an airborne infantry officer, utilizing the naval craft and holofoils to strike down atop the enemies of the Panathan Empire. Little did he know that he had been granted the gift of the Force and soon discovered that he had such a power during a live-fire training exercise.
So, he defected from Panathan service immediately following his graduation. Instead of seeking out long-term masters as his brother did in the resurgent Sith Empire, Mordecai took to the life of a wanderer. Learning under the tutelage of various dark jedi, rogue Sith, and even a few being who called themselves "grey" in regards to Force alignment. For almost an entire decade of his life was spent under a wide variety of mentors and tutors, quickly becoming an extremely skilled swordsman and learned of the far superior arts that would eventually lead to him becoming enthralled by the idea of creating life. This interest in the darker arts of life itself was what initially drew Mordecai to the Sith, joining his brother in their ranks. It was here where he began to finally hone his combat abilities in real battles and wars, leading men into battle and growing in power each and every moment.
It during his time with the Sith when he met Rhaegos, an infant Arkanian Dragon. The Sith Lord could tell that this tiny little draco would soon be something of importance to his life. So Mordecai took it as his own, immediately bonding himself with it before utilizing both his own and his allies’ powers and skill in alchemy to alter it so that it may be both stronger, faster, and more powerful. After long years of training and brutal warfare in the skies, Rhaegos and Mordecai soon became the very definition of a conquering Sith.
But that all changed. Everything he ever knew.
During a military campaign, it was Mordecai's mission to eliminate all pockets of enemy resistance and completely annihilate their forces. It was urban combat so it was a gritty, tough, and their opponents were dug in. A man cornered fights with the strength of many men. That was the case in this such scenario. Although a valiant and powerful warrior, the younger Zambrano was no match for the unconventional tactics displayed by the enemy. Civilians littered the cityscape and their death toll was even higher than that of the soldiers on either side. Blood, gore, mud, it was everywhere and the stench of death and fear lingered in every man, woman, and child. It was later on until Mordecai's men began to take heavier losses and were soon shoved into their final stand. His brothers fought bravely though they be at their last stand. Many uttered prayers, wrote letters to their wives, and ground their teeth as yet another brother fell. Mordecai's time was at its end and he too fell in the line of fire. However, he was not dead. Knocked unconscious by the blast of a grenade was his saving grace and the enemy looked over his wounded body as a corpse.
First light awakened the young Zambrano with a surprise. A woman hovered over his body with a pensive look and pursed lips. Everything hurt and even the Sith was afraid to look down and inspect the mortality of his wounds. But he was still alive and was thankful for the Force and his luck. Little did he know, this woman's entire family had been slaughtered by both his men and the rebels, they had been caught in crossfire and she was the sole survivor. So why did she care for a Sith? While he was full of hatred, avarice, and power-lust, she was compassionate and full of nothing but love for the wounded man before her. Stark opposites in the very slightest sense. Her name was Carly Crete, a nurse of renown. She loved all forms of life and strove to preserve it, despite the lose of loved ones during the battle.
She cried and cried some more. For that entire night, tears and her supposed enemy were her only comforts. A light sparked in young Mordecai's heart. This poor woman in his arms was the sole answer to his entire life. He loved her instantly and desired to wipe her heart clean of imperfections, to make her eternally joyous and at peace. A wounded Sith and a common girl spent that night under the shattered roof of darkened clouds in a war-torn city. Their lives would be entwined forever and the history of a man named Mordecai Zambrano was wiped clean. He was no longer a murderer, a conqueror, a heathen to life itself. Rather, he swore to love this woman until he died and to cherish her in health and in sickness.
This is the tale of a simple man in a not so simple universe.
