More RP's?

I know the invasion and RL has everyone tied up.

But it seems dead around here, and I'd love to rp with you guys more as Silara.

I'm less about map game and more about exploring the Naval side of stuff/NFU type genre.

The forcers got it well covered already

While Hoth has a lot of people stretched out/at their mental limits, I agree there has been a troubling dearth of smaller faction threads lately. The Jedi have gotten some in every couple of months for training, but it truly has been some time since we've had a thread exploring our military/NFU side.

While the major faction player in me would prefer to accomplish something with it other than character development, I suppose its too early to start thinking about another flagship thread. Maybe something like war games? Give some people with a little less experience a little bit of a confidence booster about fleet fights in a more friendly environment. Whatever form it takes, I like the idea and would invite both Silara and others to brainstorm their own ideas about what the thread can be about.

I liked the way our synergy went durign the invasion. Maybe we can build some IC tactics off of that? Also it'd be good to do a Court marshal thread for Silara since well... she did kinda try and blow Ashin away

I think the constant crush of Dominion after Dominion really is putting threads to rest, especially the huge huge ones. Like a Hex Dominion is sooooo long and if folks wanna jump in late, they are completely lost and just avoid it all together.

Maybe go back to doing a few short and sweet planet ones with a slurry of other GA hosted threads in between. A training, a get together and some other random stuff to break up the monotony and get characters together IC.

I have another fleeter, but he's pretty inactive, so some space stuff would be nice. Ne-Cal is soon to be Tier 2, so I now that I wrapped that up I have more free time.

What length. We can go from partner vessels all the way to big bad fleets. You pick the length and I'll assemble the Pirates and throw in my ship the Resolute Vengeance- 450M I think. maybe 470M

I will try to make time for a post, but I can't promise a ton of activity until the end of next week when Hoth is over.

Regarding hex dominions, yes Silara I can understand how constant dominions and particularly the longer ones can be daunting if offered without any alternatives. While we would definitely like to finish scooping up the Tython hex at some point strategically so we aren't quite so vulnerable in the Core, the plan after Hoth I think is to continue in the vein of T2s and T1s for a little while until we are in a healthy enough place to be able to throw up the occasional T3 again.

For those looking for war games, I have a military exercise in the works with the Iron Empire. There will be a fleeting and ground component. I also wouldn't mind "simulating" my FO and Mando alts to provide a more realistic experience for training purposes.

As for other things, maybe we could coordinate with some Imperial/Mando/Sith writers for some small scale events like border skirmishes, probing/infiltration, maybe spark some Resistance/Rebel activity in the style of Rogue One. In a low-pressure environment, I think they would definitely be up for such threads.

JR is not a NFU nor is he one to actively seek a military role. He would be interested to see himself in a war game role to provide assistance in protecting and preventing civilian casualties in hypothetical future military engagements. It could be a fun way to set procedure for upcoming roles he could contribute in skirmishes, dominions, and invasions.
