More staff?

You might want to consider getting traditional staff to lighten the workload. I noticed we had an influx of members and they may get discouraged if staff are slow to respond.

I'd recommend grabbing some active folks and sticking each to a section and letting them manage that section of the board. That way Admins can focus on the big picture, rather than cleaning up posts, threads and adding and removing folks from rosters.

I'd suggest [member="Michael Sardun"] if this becomes a thing. Solid guy, follows the IC well, and keeps drama where it belongs: IC and soap operas. Plus, loads of experience and time as faction staff elsewhere.

I know, but if enough members speak up saying "we want more staff", then current staff needs to look at adding staff or, maybe, replacing staff. Hence the tag lol

Ah hell, I already decided to rejoin, might as well step up the plate completely.

If Suravi wants it, I would be willing to take charge of the Jedi Order thing in an OOC capacity as a moderator or whatever.

Start up threads, recruit, get people trained up, things like that.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, [member="Popo"], really appreciate it. :p

We've been looking to pick up another member or two to join the team. As a newer member to the site, I don't know you all too well, so if volunteers had some time to chat with me over PM or Skype, then that would be great.

A word to the wise:

The answer to absent and ineffective staff is not to hire on more staff to cover current staff's shortcomings. The answer is getting rid of current staff and voting in new people that can and will do the job.

You are the faction members. You have the power to vote out your Faction Owner in order to elect a new one that can then decide on and pick a new active team of Admins.

I have to agree with this.

Just my cent and a half.

Just going to say that if new staff is added then they need to be able to appear here and do the job that they are assigned. The current and new staff members need to ask themselves can they do their jobs while doing the other things they do in their own lives.

True, we have the power to vote out the current staff. Don't think we're to that point though. Recall elections have a habit of turning nasty, and the last thing this faction needs is divisiveness.
Mando one went well. Peacefully, even. Short of people getting bent out of shape over an online hobby comprised of a land of internet make believe, shouldn't be a problem if it gets to that point.

Also, hmmm... Two months.

I think these are the question that need to be answered:

1. Are the current staff members willing to increase their workload here or at least be more consistence in their jobs?

2 Are the current members willing to add new people to the staff and help them out on being a new staff member?

3. Are the people who are willing to become staff are wiling to deal with the hardships of being a staff member ( Dealing with others that could go bad,Giving up more free time etc.)

4. Will everyone else be okay with the changes made and is willing to give the change a chance?

We all to keep in mind that any change is risky to do, it may seem like a good idea to add staff but it could go bad soon if not handled property. Then again, the current staff may need some help so it doesn't hurt to bring at two more people as staff members and make sure then understand theirs role as staff members.

Just putting this out there in hope this post helps.
