- Death Watch Commandos - Previous Incarnation
- Unit Name: Moridinae Golems
- Affiliation: The Sith Empire
- Classification: Dark Side Battle Droids
- Description: Born from the insidious mind of the Dark Lord of the Sith, the Moridinae Golems are battle droids standing two-point-one-meters in height with a multi-layered beskar-titanium alloy chassis. Inside are all of the complicated gears and gizmos that one would find when they popped open a droid of any make and model, but what made the Moridinae Golems far more dangerous was the Prosperian Soulstone at the center of their torso module.
This Soulstone contained the spirit of one of the Mandalorian Death Watch Commandos which had fought on behalf of the Sith Empire against their own kin, metaphorically forsaking their own soul to serve the Sith and their Dark Lord. With their soul tightly contained within this vessel, the consciousness of the Death Watch warrior could control their robotic body as if it were their own flesh and blood. They could see with robotic eyes, move with robotic limbs, analyze data far faster than their previous organic brain could even comprehend. But above all else, they were fanatically loyal to their Sith masters, unflinching in their devotion to their new creed that had utterly replaced the Resol'nare.
Kill for the Sith, die for the Sith.

- Combat Function: The Moridinae Golems act most exemplary as armored shock troops and airborne marauders, using their usually superior array of weaponry to smash enemy formations or flank them in accordance with more traditional military units. Their unyielding ferocity and willingness to throw themselves into the most harrowed of combat zones makes them highly valuable in urban environments and similar landscapes where bottlenecks and chokepoints are often employed against advancing Sith-Imperial battle formations.
- Beskar Chassis: The Moridinae Golems possess extremely resistant beskar-titanium alloy armor plating, which is strong enough to stop a lightsaber dead in its tracks.
- Unflinching Loyalty: Twisted and warped by the ruinous powers of the Dark Side of the Force, the Golems are eternally bound to their Sith masters.
- Soulstone Vessel: Though the Soulstone which serves as the repository for the Mandalorian's soul is stored deep within the metal body of the Golem, significant damage to it or outright destruction can cause the entire Golem to shut down.
- Suicidal Devotion: In tandem with their unflinching loyalty to the Sith was an equally strong suicidal tendency to never retreat or withdraw in battle, fighting most of their battles until victory was achieved or until they were cut down by their enemies.
When the Mandalorian Union successfully recaptured Mandalore from the Sith Empire, the majority of the Sith's loyalist Mandalorian divisions were either killed in the battle or defected back over to their comrades. Those that survived were the most fanatical of the lot, their devotion running far deeper than mere convenience. To reward their service, the Sith Emperor offered them the chance to ascend past the limitations of their mortal shells.
Drunk with fervor and bitter from the defeat handed to them by their former comrades, they readily accepted.
The Sith Emperor separated their spirits from their bodies in a mass ritual, sealing their souls into specialized gemstones. These gems were encased in special containers constructed out of tektite-reinforced polycarbonate glass and placed inside metallic bodies created out of a beskar-titanium alloy. Cables were attached to the spiritual vessel, which allowed the consciousness inside to exert his will through their robotic exoskeleton as if they were operating their now-defunct flesh and blood bodies.
Re-equipped with similar weaponry they wielded in their previous life, these newly minted Moridinae Golems were prepared to avenge their own defeat at the hands of the Mandalorians they once called vod.
