SPECIAL FEATURES
Are you more concerned with getting to your destination safely rather than quietly? Or quickly? Have you ever thought to yourself, "My current landspeeder is nice, but it can't launch thirty-eight rockets into the traffic in front of it, and that has me pretty bummed out, if I'm honest." If the answer to any of those questions is yes, then it turns out you may have a psychic link to some of the Helix Syndicate's top executives! Or a very similar thought process. In either event, the Helix Syndicate decided to solve this problem by commissioning the Morihaus-Class Speeder Truck from its affiliated company, Myton Defense.
Nobody wants twenty different kinds of speeders clogging up their garages, so the key feature of the Morihaus is that it can be adapted to any situation. So long as Syndicate technicians have the luxury of time and the proper equipment on hand, the interior of the Morihaus can be customized for any purpose. Here are just a few of the most popular:
Another aspect of the Morihaus that can be altered is its travel method. The repulsor-engines of a Morihaus can be configured for both air and land-based travel, allowing it to be deployed in any sort of environment. Of course, being configured for air travel drastically reduces the amount of cargo or weapons a Morihaus can carry. While its repulsor engines are powerful enough to carry the heavy truck to a decent altitude, it will still only an air speeder. It cannot compete in any sense with starfighters and especially cannot reach anywhere near the same altitudes or speeds.
And then there's the armed variant. The armed variant is more of a rarity than the general variant most frequently deployed by the Syndicate. Given the amount of weapons it can potentially pack, it's easy to see why. The armed variant also benefits from stronger armor plating and a small shield generator. Perhaps the most interesting feature is the possibility of adding a Repulse-Ram to the front of the vehicle. This insidious little creation essentially co-opts repulsorlift technology for use as, you guessed it, a battering ram. At sufficiently high speeds, a Morihaus can already serve as a dangerous wrecking ball. Fire up the Repulse-Ram at the right time, however, and you'll have a speeder-truck sized hole through even the thickest duracrete walls.
Both Morihaus variants also come with an on-board assistant in the form of an integrated droid brain. This droid brain is largely there for navigation assistance and the limited operation of weapon systems when a gunner isn't available. It's no auto-pilot, but the assistant can also perform limited lane corrections when a driver begins drifting or engage the brakes if the driver is in danger of crashing. Armed variants will also come with the Syndicate's Sagittarius-Class Targeting System. improving the truck's ability to acquire and track targets.

- [Strength] This armored speeder is modular enough that it can be configured into doing just about anything its users need it to do. Cargo? Prisoners? Patients? Soldiers? The Morihaus can be configured to provide the perfect traveling accommodations for each - and much, much more.
- [Strength] The on-board assistant can help the driver with a number of tasks and generally makes operating the vehicle and any associated weapons systems easier.
- [Strength] "Armored" is something of an understatement when describing the Morihaus. Between thick armor plating and a small shield generator, the Morihaus can take a very serious beating before being knocked out of commission.
- [Weakness] A direct hit to any of the rocket launchers, if present, could cause an explosion that will total the vehicle. Not to mention probably kill some or all of the occupants.
- [Weakness] The Morihaus is built like a tank and handles like one too. It is clumsy and inelegant, particularly at high speeds. If someone without specialized training were to get behind the wheel of a Morihaus, it would invite disaster.
