SPECIAL FEATURES
Processor that controls all of Vera's physical appearance, as well as her alternative appearances, as well as sorts out what skill loadout goes to which form
Capable of storing dozens, possibly hundreds of forms after her primary ones, each capable of using their own, preloaded skills
Upgradeable to reduce alteration times.
Capable of 'Hardbooting' to a specific form in an emergency, or even canceling boot up
Strengths:
Top of the line: The processor stores all of Vera's forms, and regulates what skills go to which form. Its storage and computational capacity are geared towards interacting with and manipulating the masquer that serves as Vera's skin. Its algorithms ensure consistancy of realistic skin tone texture, and facial structure. It also controls the highly adaptable masquer stealth features in conjunction with the processors related to stealth. Naked eyesight only inspection cannot tell the difference between human skin and Vera's due to this processor.
Upgradeable: While it initially came factory installed with major forms, it has room in its internal memory for more, and can be modded with additional micro computing nodes to decrease the time it takes for Vera to shift between configurations, as well as micro adapters to download more forms into it and attach additional processors to run in conjunction with it. If need be, it can completely swap out the appearances of its major preprogrammed configurations.
Weaknesses:
Acid: Will eat right through it
Ion: Ion disables it temporarily. Because it is attached to a synthetic brain, ion interferes with its signals which transmit through the muscles to control the masquer
Microwave: Microwave can temporarily interfere with its functions as well, causing temporary scrambling of other processors working in conjunction with it.
Intelligence limiter: Depending on its current configuration settings, Vera's ability to plan ahead or adjust for failure may be adversely affected.
Overheat: Hardbooting to a form should only be done in an emergency, and the processors shapeshifter functions will shut down for hours (though not Vera's ability to fight in whatever form she is locked in) to avoid overheating and irreparably damaging it.
Transition wait: The more databases she has running, or the more complex a given database is, the longer it will take for the processor to transform Vera
Achilles: If the shapeshifter processor is shut down, Vera begins to experience crippling shame at her own nature, as the processor is no longer interfering with her brain's organic empathy centers. While Vera would still be something of a sociopath even without this processor, the advanced data requirements interfere with whatever shred of empathy it might possess otherwise. Also if damaged, it may interfere with Vera's ability to fight.
DESCRIPTION
The Morpheus 9 Advanced Reconfiguration Processor Prototype is a highly advanced hueristic processor that controls both Vera's appearance via her Masquer skin as well as what skills she possesses in a given configuration. Factory loaded to work in conjunction with her other processors and slaved to Vera's Morpheus 9 Processor Prototype A, the ARP creates extremely realistic facial features as well as to a more limited extent, body types. Based off the results of extensive jury rigging and reprogramming of Vera's original processors, Nine created a new and dedicated processor to handle the data and processing requirements to shift forms. This processor is the proof of concept for those that follow, allowing for an unprecedented way to control specialized vong tissues, such as Masquers, without the usual pitfalls. Though held back by a number of flaws, this is still cutting edge, made all the more impressive given that its creator is still relatively new to the era.
