Description:

Mortis Caligine is a nerve toxin designed and created by Doctor Agnusdei. It is extremely lethal in appropriate doses and can kill in minutes to hours depending on the levels of lethal dosage (the higher the dose, the faster it kills). The toxin attacks the nervous system directly and systematically blocks and overloads the nerves in the body, causing a variety of symptoms ranging from nervousness/restlessness at the outset up to respiratory and cardiac arrest towards the termination of the victim. The toxin can be blocked by environmental suits and full respiration gear and can be remedied by immediate (within the first few minutes if not immediately upon exposure [note: Force powers hold unknown affects on the toxin at this time]) application of anti-nerve toxin antidotes. Symptoms include, but are not limited to:

  • Restlessness/Nervousness
  • Pupil contractions
  • Rhinorrea (overproduction of mucus in the sinuses)
  • Salivation
  • Dyspnea (labored/difficult breathing due to mucus buildup in the bronchial/respiratory system)
  • Sweating
  • Brachycardia (slowed heart rate)
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Convulsions
  • Flaccid paralyses
  • Loss of bladder/bowel control
  • Apnea (cessation of respiration)
  • Lung Blisters
  • Respiratory arrest
  • Cardiac arrest
  • Death
