[*]Affiliation: N/A
[*]Size: Large - peaks at 2341 metres (7680 feet)
[*]Population: Insignificant Population
[*]Demographics: Isolated agricultural farms towards the base of the mountain who use the mineral-rich soil to grow some of the best crops across Panatha.
[*]Accessibility: The volcano itself is easy to find, and it's location is well known to most Epicanthix, but scaling the peak is often only done by the most experienced hikers as the sulphuric air and near-constant tremors and minor eruptions plague the mountain making it a death trap to novices.
[*]Description: Viryzeyr is a violent, monstrous stratovolcano which towers above all structures and mountains in a hundred mile radius. A constant plume of abhorrent gases, ash and occasional molten projectiles billow from the cornet at the peak of the mountain with frequent eruptions and cataclysmic tremors triggered by the sheer power of the volcano.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Temple of Nereus - An ancient temple sat at the base of the volcano, and is thought to be crafted by Nereus himself as the record of it's true builder has been long lost to the flame of the volcano.
Viryzeryr Pass - A small path which is untouched by lava in low activity times and the only way up the mountain.
Ruins of Agaban - Ancient ruins which are undated are scattered across the lower levels of the volcano, and are accessible to most non-professional climbers. These are a major tourist attraction.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
It is said that the Epicanthix God, Nereus crafted Viryzeyr from the same clay and stone as he moulded the Epicanthix people, and the volcano personified the species' violent, destructive and warrior natures, for the even the ground would tremor in fear when the great mountain would erupt, and the sky would be stained with ash and ruin. The peak would forever be a holy site to all Epicanthix, and hundreds of thousands would cross the world to gaze upon the chaos that spewed from the crater, and feel the mountain rip the earth and grind the bowels of Panatha.
The volcano holds great religious importance to the Epicanthix as it is said to be the home of the Supreme-God Nereus, who from the fallout which burst from the volcano, could spread himself all across the globe, and also remind the Epicanthix of his power when the volcano emptied it's chasms and spilled lava and death across the land.
