Micah Talith
Draith Shamalain
DESCRIPTION
First and foremost, this dagger is only as powerful as the victim's writer decides it will be. It is to be utilized as sweet, overpowered, totally broken, crazy roleplaying mechanics. It is not an auto hit or auto suck of knowledge and skills but allows a venue for collaboration between writers to bring some sweet character development and roleplay shenanigans.
So, without further ado!
Micah Draith Shamalain Talith had spent decades mastering the arcane arts, learning from the galaxy's greatest alchemists. His mentors included his uncle, Dissero , and his father, Soliath Devin Talith , whose combined wisdom guided him through the complex world of alchemy. He even studied the teachings of Valik , the legendary creator of Kata'nari, the sentient alchemized sword he had discovered long ago in the ruins of a lost world.
His journey also led him to the Witchmasters of Mandalore and the Jal Shey Imbuers, where he deepened his understanding of alchemical items. Kata'nari itself became a teacher for its ability to learn and self-alchemize the abilities of other alchemized creations, highlighting its intricate nature, and revealing secrets that helped Micah forge a weapon unlike any other. The culmination of his efforts was the creation of Mournblade, a dagger forged in the heart of the Netherworld's remaining nexus.
The forging process was intense, taking several months and involving the heat of Netherflames to temper the blade, giving it a wicked edge that remained forever sharp. The creation of Mournblade was a rupture in the Force, a testament to Micah's combined knowledge and skill. The result was a dagger that retained its abilities even within a Force-dead sphere.
It is a beacon to any that feels its presence; it is not the stealthy blade that jabs at your back, but one that you know is coming, a weapon whose presence could be felt by any Force-sensitive being. Victims of Mournblade faced the horrifying possibility of having exact shade copies of their souls sucked into the blade, allowing it to absorb their skills, memories, and Force abilities. The blade could potentially sever a Force user's connection to the Force, rendering them powerless or even Force Dead. When in contact with other alchemical creations, Mournblade could copy and alchemize their properties, becoming more powerful with each encounter.
The blade's creation within the Netherworld's flames made it nearly indestructible. Only a combined effort of multiple masters using Force Light or being thrown into a black hole could destroy it. Despite its immense power, Mournblade required to be bonded to wielder to activate its special features. The shades trapped within the blade spoke telepathically to the wielder, attempting to take control. Over time, this could change the wielder's nature, drawing them from good to evil or vice versa.
Mournblade's power grew with use, making it increasingly difficult for the wielder to part with it. The blade required Force Energy to be fed, draining energy from those who carried it. Without a wielder, Mournblade could enter a hibernation state, but it could not perform any functions in the Force during this time. Extended periods in this state could starve the blade, leading to its death.
Micah had created a weapon of unparalleled power and danger. Mournblade was a testament to his skill, a dark and formidable creation that demanded respect and caution from anyone who dared to wield it.
SPECIAL FEATURES
- Shatter and imprison shade copies of victims' souls
- Psychometric
- Telepathy
- Able to remove the use of the Force from its victims
- Able to learn, adapt, and grow in self-alchemy
- Rupture in the Force that can be used in a Force Dead field or similar
- It possesses the power to potentially shatter and imprison an exact shade copy of a soul, including their Force abilities for the wielder to use, which in turn, the shades can telepathically talk to the wielder.
- It possesses the psychometric powers it can potentially use to retain the memories, skills, and Force abilities of its victims.
- It possesses the power to potentially drain the Force from a Force Sensitive victim in order to feed it, making them a non-force sensitive
- It possesses the power to potentially carry out many alchemical processes on itself. This is primarily used, along with Mournblade's psychometric abilities, to copy the abilities of other alchemical items unto itself.
- It is a rupture in the Force that can still use its effects and abilities learned within any Force dead field, voidstone, ysalamir or any similar nexus field.
- Short of a concentrated effort of multiple masters to use Force Light or being thrown into a black hole, the Mournblade is potentially highly unable to be shattered, broken, or destroyed.
- OOCLY—This dagger is only as powerful and able to apply its special features as the victim's writer is willing to allow for story purposes. It is not an auto hit but for cool story OP mechanics.
- An individual who wields Mournblade will not part with it willingly.
- This creates such a disturbance in the Force that there is no way one can miss it coming into play. It is not a stealth blade. It is a beacon showing how much of a disturbance in the Force it is to Force Sensitives and Force Dead alike.
- The Mournblade cannot hunt; instead, it drains energy from those who carry it around. If not accompanied by a wielder, it can hibernate like the terentatek but cannot perform any functions in the Force during this state. Extended periods in this state can also starve the Mournblade, resulting in death.
- The more complex the alchemical item it has contact with is, the longer the contact will need to be to understand and copy the abilities of other alchemical items unto itself.
- Over time, as the wielder continues to use the blade, the shades of the souls trapped will whisper sweet or annoying nothings in its owner's mind as they each try to take over the dagger as its own entity in their attempts to try and take over wielder. Depending on the nature of which shade carries dominance, this can result in the wielder, over time, going from good to neutral and finally to evil or vice versa.
