THE PLANET
O S S U S
THE JEDI TEMPLE

The nice thing about Ossus, there were plenty of boulders in the surrounding hills.

When he had been a padawan, during the days of the Old Republic -- before the dark times, before the Empire, the Vong Invasion, or the Gulag Plague -- he'd studied telekinesis in the Jedi Temple of Coruscant. All the places of legend, the Room of a Thousand Fountains, the Jedi Museum, the Meditation Garden... were all places he had visited and benefited from regularly as a Jedi of the Old Order.

And not counted least among the artifacts of the Jedi Order were the Muntuur Stones. Massive hunks of rock, weighing between a ton and six tonnes a piece. Seven in all. And only one Jedi Master that Sor-Jan knew of had ever managed to life all seven. Even Master Yoda had only ever managed six of the rocks.

Speaking for himself, Sor-Jan had only managed four. But he liked to think that was still impressive. After all, he was still a child, in that he was still growing and had not yet come into the full abilities of his species. Which was a blessing and a curse, though more so a blessing.

The Muntuur Stones themselves, as an artifact of Jedi history, still existed. Last he'd seen them, they had been in a Jedi Temple on Lothal, as part of a small sect watched over by [member="Shmi Labooda"]. What had become of them since... he didn't know.

But, while they couldn't have the Muntuur Stones themselves, what he did have were seven large boulders he'd collected from across the mountains of Ossus. Along with any number of small rocks and stones, to give students a variety of things they could set their attention to, no matter what their level of comfort with telekinesis was.

The boy had arrived on a small transport ship that had carried some Jedi from the Jedi Temple of Voss, to the Jedi Temple of Ossus, to participate in the workshop that was going to be given by Jedi Master [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"] about telekinisesis.

He was happy, another chance to leave the temple and visit another world, not more beautifull, or uglier than the one he was given a sentence in, just different.

As he stepped out of the ship, he could see and feel the small life that the once devastated planet, had contained within it's terrestrial surface. The small fry continued as he went inside the temple, looking for the room the workshop was going to be on, if it was going to be in a room.

The desire to thrive was one that had been instilled in Aria many times over, as had the desire to learn. She had been making an effort to remain constantly busy and constantly learning, and today would be no exception.

Ossus was really a rather nice place, Aria thought to herself as she made her way over to the temple. Today she was there for a lesson in telekinesis, a skill which she only had a basic grasp of at the moment but knew to be extremely useful when honed properly. With reasonably high spirits, she entered the temple and hunted down that day's teacher;[member="Sor-Jan Xantha"].

Oh my goodness this was turning out to be awesome and the jedi knight was looking to enjoy what she was going to be able to see. Her silver robes gleaming with her white skin and black hair before she saw the other two that had arrived with them. Undin she knew as her mothers padawan and aria was another padawan she had seen somewhere she was certain of it. Walking in to see the child like master with a respectful bow while she breathed in the scent of energy and the force all around herself. "Room for more master?"

The young Anzat was trying out a set of [member="Matsu Ike"]'s new Silver Robes.

So, he looked like a little kid dressed up as Superman, otherwise known as mild mannered [member="Connor Harrison"]. Which, in all honestly, the idea that he looked like a youngling in a costume suited the small Jedi just fine. For starters, it was the perfect outfit for youngling pretend play, which this Jedi Master was not at all above, and, second of all, it had a cape!

What kid did you know that didn't like capes?

For this particular training, the boy had selected the meditative garden. Which, wasn't exactly as picturesque as it sounded. As part of the terraforming that had taken place to make Ossus habitable again, there was actually a lot of Vong plant life present around the Jedi Temple. Forget roses with thorns, some of these flowers had fangs.

Of course, the little Jedi was, himself, a vampire so... maybe the monstrous charm presented by the Vong shaped shrubbery was part of why he liked the garden level on Ossus.

...plus if any of the plants tried to eat the students, there were plenty of large rocks they could use to stomp the weed.

As he waited for the students to arrive, the boy was seated on top of the largest boulder - a veritable mountain of stone weighing in at 6 metric tonnes - with his head bowed in silent, reflective meditation on the will of the Force...

All right, he was buying that line either.

The tow-headed boy had a HoloBoy Advanced out, seated cross-legged on top of the boulder as he played the mobile version of The Secret of Mynock Island. Currently, he was trapped in the Conservatory and needed to find a way out. In his inventory, he had a tomato, a piece of dental floss, and a pack of chewing gum.

There was a way to make this work...

"Room for more master?"

"Huh?" Glancing up, the boy blinked in surprise as he realized that students were starting to arrive. "Oh, hey..."

Putting his game away, the youngling knight jumped down from the top of the boulder. A feather push slowed his descent just before he touched down on the ground. Looking up, particularly as the students arriving were all taller than he was, the tow-headed boy gave a bow toward the three.

"My name is Sor-Jan Xantha," he supplied in greeting, before straightening back up. "Before we begin, tell me about yourselves."

Looking up at the Atrisian, the boy offered a smile as he said, "You must be a Ike."

He had stumbled upon the garden that Master [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"] was in, luckily, and had found 2 more Padawans that were attending. [member="Aria Vale"] , he had met during a training session with Master Joza, and another unknown one, that was asked by the vampire master, if she was a Ike. The boy would be happy to train with one of her Master's relatives, maybe daughter.

Then, he looked over at the Master, examining his robes. He was definitely wearing the Silver Robes, that Master Ike had given out during the quest in Malachor V.
To be honest, Undin hated those capes. They looked ridiculous, and make him fall two times while wearing the robes. That's why, he didn't bring his, he hadn't cut the cape yet.

It was now time for him to present himself to the him. But before he spoke, he offered him a bow, "Hello Master, it is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Undin Jaii, Padawan.".

[member="Orihime Ike"]

SHe was looking at the master and he looked sleek and cool with a cape it really complimented the whole thing that came with it. Skill, power and you could be felt in the force like a beacon but she knew from experience the force enhanced wintrium mesh was protective and super lightweight. It had even saved her life when she was dueling that one dark jedi on Tatooine so she was ready to see what they could do with the lesson as her robes pretty much gave off the same beacon of the lightside here matching her own. "Well my name is Orihime Ike, one of the five daughters of my mother Matsu Ike and I have been working to learn all that I can about the jedi."

Undin... yes, now that he had a name to go with the face, the small Anzat remembered the taller boy. The one from the trial. Well, whatever rocky start he may have been off to, he wouldn't be here but for the judgment of [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]. And it was easy to trust that judgment.

Orihime... one of five Ike daughters. Matsu was a busier woman than he gave her credit for.

After everyone had an opportunity to introduce themselves, the small boy made an open gesture with both arms raised palm up. "The Force is a powerful ally. It controls your actions, but it can also obey your commands. Key to commanding the Force is the ability to train your mind. When you do, a world of new options opens for you."

He extended his right arm out. "Powerful barriers..." the air in front of the boy's palm shimmered, as an invisible yet tangible field suddenly formed at his command. "...shields to protect yourself or others."

Turning his head, the child extended out his left arm. "Manipulation..." a smooth stone suddenly flew from across the garden and into his waiting palm, pulled there as if on some unseen string. Lowering his right arm, the youngling knight dipped down form a moment before making an upward motion. Behind him, one of the large rocks -- at least a ton -- raised up into the air. "...the ability to affect physical objects in the world around you."

Allowing both arms to fall back by his side, the boulder returned to the ground as the boy tossed the smaller stone aside.

"Telekinesis is not a single ability, but a key concept in developing a variety of useful skills," the boy opined, looking around at his assembled students.

They likely already knew more about telekinesis than they gave themselves credit for. Every youngling learned the featherpush as one of the earliest manifestations of their abilities. While 'telekinesis' sounded very scientific or advanced, all they would really be doing is getting back to the most basic applications of the Force and finding new outlets for knowledge that the students already possessed.

"Who would like to go first?"

Finding her way into the class just as it began, Aria settling in and turned her focus to the young teacher. Listening keenly, Aria looked around at the surrounding students before slowly putting her hand up.

"I..I'll go." Her voice only found its assurance halfway along - there was something very unusual about being instructed by a child half her size - but she was confident that telekinesis wasn't something she could mess up easily, even with an audience. She was hardly unfamiliar with the concept after all, just not masterful...yet.

"So do I just...? Lift them up?" Aria asked, turning her attention towards the boulders. Her arm extended, she carefully channelled the Force, creating a pulling force that would tug at a medium-sized rock. Eyes watering as she tried not to blink, once the connection was made Aria strengthened it, more carefully than she would've done without the spectators but not ridiculously slow, until she was able to interact with the rock. Slowly, the rock would begin to hover, and once it had ascended the first few inches Aria would let it levitate about three feet a bit faster before gently bringing it back down.

"Uh..." Aria looked around for some sign that she had done it right or wrong. "Like that?"

[member="Sor-Jan Xantha"] [member="Orihime Ike"] [member="Undin Jaii Kryze"]

Orihime was looking at the master explained it and there was a lot that went into telekinesis as she knew and making barriers or moving things around with it was... well you needed to have some good ideas of what you were wanting to do when she moved around. Stick aroun here though and she might get to meet some of the other cool padawans and knights... maybe... hopefully. She missed Valae and this situation needed Zak's music.... for a montage that was the best way to train as her mind was jumping from one train of thought to another when she was reaching out and using the force to grasp and lift a few of the stones.

"Exactly like that."

The boy nodded with approval, observing where the young woman, Aria, was successfully levitating a rock. It was slow, but meticulous. That was good. It demonstrated that she was both articulate and conscious of how she interacted with the Force around her. Now, the trick was to get her to surrender some of that caution and allow instinct to guide her.

Turning his head, the Ike girl was likewise manipulating a few stones up into the air. "Good, you can already apply the Force to multiple objects," the boy remarked. "Now, challenge yourself... see how many you can levitate at a time," the boy said. Having an ability was good. Developing that talent was better.

Turning back toward the other young woman, the boy said, "Aria, try levitating a stone again. But this time, one of the larger ones."

Now, he just needed to see what Undin would do...

[member="Aria Vale"] | [member="Orihime Ike"] | [member="Undin Jaii Kryze"]

The boy, observed the others doing it. They were very good, especially the Ike girl.
He turned towards a small pebble, and with the feeling of the Force running troughout his body, the stone was lifted, as his hand went up. It wasn't hard to lift things like small rocks and stones, but now he wanted to try a bigger stone.

So, he decided it was best to try and show off. Whilst still levitating the other pebble, he looked towards a rock about 1 meter big. He reached out, and tried to focus on it, while still concentrating on the other one. With a upwards motion of his hand, the stone, didn't float up, but was instead launched up and landed close to him.

Undin let the pebble down, as he looked towards Master Sor-Jan, "Is this good?".

Smiling at the mark of approval from the Master, Aria turned to the boulders and reached out with her mind to a much larger one this time, forming another connection. She moved faster now that some attention was off her, and quickly was able to interact with the rock, though when she tried to lift it up it proved somewhat harder. Trying to visualise the Force, Aria stopped trying to strengthen the connection and instead tried to widen it, imagining the particles in the air shifting as they covered the boulder. Grudgingly, it lifted off the ground a bit at a time, until it was properly hovering. Now it was easier to levitate it higher, and though Aria was faintly aware of a slightly more rapid decrease in her energy it was still nowhere near enough to tire her out and so she brought the boulder up to about her shoulder height before bringing it back down slowly.

That had seemed straightforward enough...Aria's gaze fell on the girl beside her, levitating a number of rocks at a time. Her previous attempts at pyrokinesis had shown that dividing up her concentration was not one of her strong spots, so perhaps this would prove a greater challenge. Lifting up a medium-sized rock, Aria kept it at her waist level for a few seconds before aiming for a similarly sized rock. Immediately the first one began to drop, so Aria extended her other arm. That seemed to work, and both rocks floated happily after one or two more tries, but she only had two arms.

Reluctantly, Aria lowered one arm, trying to spread the energy her right hand was creating between the two rocks. They both dropped a foot or so, but remained floating from there and didn't fall when she tried to bring them back up. Then she tried to raise one and lower another, which resulted in both rocks falling to the ground again. Determined not to give up, she lifted the first rock, waiting a good five seconds before attempting to lift the other, and though it took several minutes of both wanting to stay at the same height, eventually she was able to control them both individually. Contentedly shuffling them through the air for a few minutes, Aria lowered them back down and stretched her palms out to give herself a quick pause, then went again, this time going for a third.

The tall man realizing he was late ran off his Defender-class starship yelling back at his protocol droid, "Stay there! And Don't touch anything!" running off the ramp and towards the large tents set up that he saw before landing. Running for the tents Tyrion almost trips over a rock but pushes himself higher and does a back-flip landing on his feet running. "Ugh, why am I always late. Shi'za would have killed me if she saw me do this." the tall Togruta muttered to himself entering the large area of tents. He glances around looking for some type of area to learn and see's a group of people gathered around a boulder doing Telekinesis, "Now I want to do that...." he thought to himself as he watched them. Jugging over to the group he bows his head politly, "Sorry to be late, Tyrion Rexus, Padawan, is there still room for one more?" he asks the group with glancing at all of them individually and see's that [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"] seems to be teaching the lesson.

Orihime was looking at the master with a nod of her head when she sent herself a small area to work with. The girl looked over more of it before she started focusing her mind to allow herself to reach out and touch soe more of the stones. Her breathing was focused and shallow, her mind quiet and prepared to handle it and steady herself with the force while she started to lift them up into the air. Eye lids half closed and her tongue just barely touching the roof of her mouth when others were around her.

The small Anzat had checked up on Orihime.

She seemed like she was making good progress with her focus and meditation. Both were key in controlling the power, but that was what made telekinesis so difficult in actual combat. There were many distractions vying for attention in a changing environment. Understanding telekinesis was only the first step to truly mastering it.

Sweeping the cape behind him dramatically, the youngling knight moved to check on Aria...

...and there was a loud BOOM.

That would be Undin.

Pausing, the tow-headed Jedi did a quick check that he had all the students that he was supposed to have. One... Two... Three... It was just the three, right?

Okay then. No one was dead. "Good job, Undin," the Anzat remarked brightly. "Now... try a little more control this time."

"Sorry to be late..."

Turning around, the small boy craned his head back to look up at the male Togruta. Tyrion, he said his name was. "Hi!" the youngling knight offered brightly. Hopefully someone had warned him in advance that Master Xantha was a boy. "My name is Sor-Jan Xantha. Please, find yourself a rock and a place to meditate. I'll be along in a moment to check on you."

Leaving Tyrion to get comfortable -- hopefully in a spot a safe crash distance from Undin -- the Anzat peeked in on how Aria was doing. "Impressive," the child noted, as he observed the young woman reaching for a third stone to move.

Cracking his neck a little, Tyrion walks to a rock a little further from the group after walking in on Undin's crash of his boulder, he sat down and crosses his legs and folded his hands bowing his head as he began to meditate. Focusing on the rocks around him he slowly started to lift them all including a large boulder a little further off. He began spinning them around him slowly opening his eyes to examine his work as he lifted himself off the rock still sitting with his legs crossed. How Shi'za would have been proud to have seen him now.
