Moving an order. (Mandalorians, Order of the Grey)

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
OOC Note:

(To all joining this thread, while primarily a Order of the Grey faction thread this is in Mandalorian space and is subject to their arriving in the thread for that reason. Furthermore this will also serve as a recruitment thread for anyone looking to join the order or teach/be taught by those in the order. So please do come and check us out if you are interested.)

OOC Note 2: Sorry for the short starting post, someone grabbing me right now.

Massassi Temples, two of them primarily and very curious ones at that. Alexandra was now standing at the ramp of the ship that was bringing her students and the equipment from the former temple to this location. She would still keep the old temple as a home but now it was time to think about the protection of those that she had taken charge over. She had asked the other council members to each over see a ship, six in total bringing everything from droids, students, supplies or otherwise.

Now though she watched over the two temples that had been chosen, the other ships landing in the makeshift Airfield.

A lone, custom Bes'uliik starfighter entered the area designated on the map, ten more standard Bes'uliik starfighters trailing behind. The naval training facility in orbit above Yavin had picked up on unknown vessels entering the system and landing on the planet. Due to comm failures or interference, apparently no one had hailed the other side from either end, meaning that the ships in question may be lost... or hostile. Considering this was Mandalorian territory, armed reconnaissance was deemed viable and needed. As Betna happened to be passing through on a regular patrol, he and his flight decided to swing out and help the Mando navy a bit.

As he passed overhead with his flight, he ran his sensors. From the looks of it, they were pretty standard ships. They weren't civilian ships, as far as he could tell, but they weren't assault vessels either. Scouts or decently armed freighters would be the guess at this point. Why they were here, he had no idea, but between that many ships and visual confirmation of both people on the ground and the Massassi temples a stone's throw away, his bet was they were up to no good.

He brought the wing in low around treetop level. They may not have seen his unit yet, so he figured a very obvious head's up was in order. Besides, even if they had spotted the Mandalorian starfighters already, buzzing them simply let them know that they probably should pack up and go home.

This was Mando territory, not a freeloader's paradise.

Walking off the Ship Javik came out Like a Beast on all fours, Walking like a Gorilla he grunted and stood up to his heigh of 9'8ft. Adjusting his Cloak he frowned at the movements that were going on. Javik very much liked the Old Temple Location and would of fought to keep them, but he Understood well that it was not his Decision to make and followed the winds for now. Making sure to step out of the ramps way he looked down at [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]. << " Is this our New home? >> His thoughts were broad casted through the Force.

Saran was still on Sanctuary, clutching her arm from a recent training session with the Legion. Although she had managed to avoid any major injury, she had taken a rather painful, though superficial, cut. She still didn't know why Regore had insisted on live weapons, but she would have to manage. Approaching the hollocom as the droid took off, she placed a call, however poor the quality was, to [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]. "So where did you put the order?" She asked, the dents in her armor and light cuts in her robe telling of the hours she had spent. Her body ached. She'd probably take a nap in hyperspace. But for now, she needed a location.

Because, after focusing on dodging vibroblades for hours, she couldn't remember where they had said to go.

Krafurk waited in the Ship. He Refused to goto a new Home, Moving from place to place made Inthorians Depressed in ways. He was used to the Nature of the Last Temple too much. IT reminded him of home. Looking around in his room aboard the ship he fiddled with his Lightsaber. His Robes covered much of his body and now and then he would peek out to ramp at [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"] Hoping to Get her attention to speak about the new home the were going to. His Big eyes lingered though and his stare carried over to the Giant beside her. His Anatomy was most interesting. [member="Javik Quar-Kai"]

Location: Aboard the "Strille"; Krayt-class Light Cruiser, above Yavin.
Objective: Standard Sector Patrol

Even old field marshals weren't exempt from the tedious task of sector and system patrols. This day Strider Garon and his crew of ' The Strille' were making their round through Yavin. Rally Master [member="Arrbi Betna"] and his flight quickly disembarked the Light cruiser to take a closer look at the planet itself while the capitol ship stayed in orbit just like clockwork routine. Boring.........

So boring that the old man was nearly half asleep, slightly slumped in his captain's chair within the bridge. What woke him to full alert was the contact reports Betna's flight was sending back to them. The reports targerted suspected intruders setting up base camp, but before Strider could give any combat commands he needed to relay such intel back to Mandalore.

"Relay Contact reports and tell Arribi to standby for futher orders!" Strider commanded to his bridge crew. Didn't take long for Strider to hear back from Mandalore and that such activities on Yavin have been authorized by Mand'alor himself. The intruders below Are the Grey Jedi. Well, guess such information was better late then never. This could of ended in a horrible incident.

"Designate contacts as friendly and tell Betna and his flight to stand down and continue on with patrol"

Strider stood from his chair "Prepare a shuttle for me, Since we are here now I best go down and say Hi!"

Location: Yavin surface

A whirlwind funneled down from nowhere, flashing green, florescent light and giving off a Force signature, a figure of black dropped out and looked about, a few spectral skulls circled above him.

Legion reached out with the Force and planted a greeting in each persons mind.

We are here for Our new home...We shall build it stronger...We will grow our numbers, soon...

The ghosts swirled around Legion's head excitedly.

As luck would have it, if you could call it luck, Mandal Hypernautics had had its eyes on Yavin for quite some time. Specifically, Yavin prime. As the sole source of the rare and valuable Corusca Gems in all the galaxy, the planet was a prime jewel within the territory of the Mandalorian clans. For Mandal Hypernautics, it was an untapped resource. A very, very valuable untapped resource. It was for that reason that on this day, a Concordance-class Mining Barge, escorted by two Keldabe-class Battleships found its way into the Yavin system. Further evidence of the luck that today held, the path of the mining formation happened to coincide with the movement of one of the two MCS Mircin-class Prison Ships owned and operated by Hyperion Security. The prison ship had its own escort. The Prowler-class Mesen'loras known as Naast'ika Laaran stayed within a three mile radius of the ship as it entered the system.

Starting at separate points, the Prison Ship and Escort would slowly make their way towards the massive Mining Barge and her escort. Together, the flotilla would approach the Yavin Prime that they might begin their long term operation within the Yavin system.

Aboard one of the Keldabe-class Battleships, Rygel Larraq would be one of many Mandalorians to receive the unearthly greeting from [member="Darth Legion"].

Now... There were some things that many considered to be universal truths. One of which pertained specifically to Force Users and was widely believed to be a simple truth of the universe. When speaking to Mandalorians, two words must be held close to heart at all times. Caution and Restraint. Neither of which were particularly evident in the bold and outspoken words and display by [member="Darth Legion"]. To a people with a prejudices against force users nearly as long as the existence of their culture, particularly against those of a darker persuasion, the behavior of [member="Darth Legion"] was as simple and strait forward as could be.

Someone, somewhere, had a death wish.

"Continue to target and begin active scanning of surrounding planetoids." Rygel Larraq said simply to those under his command. "I believe we may just have some uninvited guests."

OOC Note for the Mandos: I cleared our moving here with your leader Azrael, so no need to act hostile Arrbi...

Alexandra sighed as she heard the words of both Javik and Legion, and already she could feel the depression coming from Krafurk and fought to keep her similar feeling pushed deep down. She didn't want to make her friends and what she could even consider family at times feel like this was forced... but she was already stretching how lucky she was that the Sith were not already wiping them all out. So now they needed somewhere where Jedi or Sith would not care about them and Yavin fit that description perfectly.

"Yes, this is.... we need to clear out the temples though and it is not a simple thing. This is likely seven hundred years of vegetation if not more since the last residents had occupied the temples... its going to take a while but i am confident in our abilities..." She spoke to Javik and legion, receiving two notices she looked at her datapad. "Excuse me, it seems i have callers... please help unload the supplies and clearing out the main halls of the temple so that we have somewhere to store the supplies atleast." She gave the two of them a bow before pushing back into the shuttle and looked at Krafurk. "I can tell you are upset, give me a moment." She first looked at the message from Saran drast and responded quickly. "Saran, we are on Yavin Four, i will give you the exact coordinates of the location on the moon..." She did so promptly before then looking at a message from a very expected person.

She opened a one way message to Strider Garon, smiling as she answered his interest without his even asking. "This is Alexandra Feanor, Historian of the Order of the Grey, i will have everyone know you are coming down as i am sure you are curious as to our presence here... i will meet you in a open clearing a hundred yards north of our landing zone." She ended the message and looked at Krafurk. "Walk with me please, i would like to hear your thoughts Krafurk..."

Betna heard the orders over the comms and relayed them to the rest of the flight. Instead of returning to their routine patrol, however, the flight instead set up on overwatch.

Bes'uliik starfighters arced up and away, moving in a lazy, wide circle high above the landing site. Sure, they apparently had permission from the Mand'alor, but Mand'alors made mistakes, too. He kept his people far enough away to not appear an immediate threat, but close enough to rush in to help if needed. They also powered down their weapons, but kept aware of the possible need for them.

As for telepathic messages and thoughts, Betna received none. The Ysalamir behind his seat in its nutrient harness made sure of that.

Sure, they were apparently "friendlies", but to Betna, and most Mandalorians, there were two types of Force users. Mando Force users, and therefore family and brethren, and Aruetii Force users.

After Teta and fighting the One Sith, most Mandos were beginning to think the only good Aruetii Force user was a dead one...

At the time, we were not informed of anything about this agreement. We have since been informed, but in general this is the type of welcoming committee we give folks until we figure out precisely who they are and how they'll function within our borders. As for hostile, if you think buzzing you was hostile, you should be happy it wasn't a warm welcome on my part  Fly bys are my equivalent of showing up at the door with jello and cake for new neighbors.

Unlike pretty much all the other Mandos, Ember was actually on the planet.

The reason? He'd spent the last handful of years cleaning out these temples. Here he'd trained apt Mandalorians in the ways of the Force and the lightsabre. Here he'd raised his granddaughter. Here (though not right here) he'd sunk over twenty million credits into the renovation of the long-forgotten, long-buried, heavily secured and very secret Lost City of the Jedi.

And he was currently standing right in front of [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"].

"Hey there. I'm Field Marshal Ember Rekali. I'm what you might call the guardian of Yavin Four. I've trained generations of Mandalorians in these temples; I was trained here myself. Tread lightly here, lady, if you mean to stick around. Only family I've got is on this moon." His eyes flicked to [member="Darth Legion"], though he kept addressing Feanor. "And tell your kid to shut down the telepathic broadcasting, or he'll catch attention he won't enjoy."

[member="Javik Quar-Kai"] [member="Krafurk Maris"]

Standing up fully Krafurk followed Master [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]. The Inthorian smirked and said " Dont get me wrong, It is a Beautiful planet Yavin, But its just.. Not the Same." He paused and leaned against a pole that supported the Ramps. " Inthorians do not like traveling from place to place. We Bond to things easy." His eyes went to the new comer @Ember Rekli Another Student? After the man spoke Krafurk only thought about Mandalorians now. He had never seen one now that he thought of it.

Alexandra blinked as she came back out of the shuttle and turned her head. "Are you the one coming down to the surface of the planet, that was faster than i had assumed..." She looked at Javik and legion, motioning with her head for them to go please, though she lingered on Legion and made a look to him that suggested not to be so... careless with his choice of words. After that though she would be more than happy to turn her head to Ember where she gave him a quick and simply bow, though the bulge that was appearent made that a bit harder now.

"I apologize Field Marshall, i did not mean to cause any harm to anyone coming here... please walk with me to the landing zone if the north, if you are not the one coming it seems i now have the pleasure to speak to two of your people immediately,"

She looked at Krafurk and sighed. "Im sorry, i need to clear this away first Krafurk, please help Javik and Legion while i talk to those that control the moon."

She would then turn back to Ember and smiled. "Please do follow Field marshall." Without pause she started north to the landing area where [member="Strider Garon"] would land.

"Nah, I was already here. This is my home." As he followed her, he squinted up to the sky, beneath his mask of Mandalorian iron. "The man who's coming down to see you is Strider Garon. Good people for an old dog.

"It's not about harm, lady," he added as they made for the north landing pad. "It's about respect, see. Mandos answer to Mand'alor in wartime and for war purposes, but you're in the territory of the clans. Up there you've got representatives from every clan I could name, all here to make really fething sure that your people show respect. Talk back to me...well, you wouldn't, not with me right here being all hospitable." He gestured at the sky, the fleets outlined against the gas giant. "Talk back to, say, Garon, or his brother, or Larraq, or Betna...you get the idea. This system's too fething close to the Sith and all manner of others we don't trust as far as we can spit. Too close for us to take chances.

"Tell me about Naboo."

Javik nodded at [member="Krafurk Maris"] and [member="Darth Legion"]. He wanted to get the hard work out of the way as quick as possible. Removing his Cloak Javik Stretched all six of his a arms and yawned. Without his cloak his figure looked slightly smaller but he was no less as strong. Motioning a Finger at the Inthorian, Javik slowly started walking to the Temple to better examine it and scope out the Dense Vegiation that was on the temple. His Height would help him with that but he needed [member="Krafurk Maris"] to be his Eyes. Javik after all was blind and even though he could see through sound he could not pickup every single detail.

<< " Come One of Inthor, You can be my Eyes." >> Javiks voice echoed around him even though his mouth did not move.

"Naboo? Last i heard it was attacked by the CIS.... or ASA, what ever they are called. I was there trying to hepl defend the innocents but i myself saw little fighting... for the obvious reasons of course. Why do you ask Field Marshall?" She looked to the side at Ember, head tilting slightly out of habit of being around a certain fox faced Zorren that she hung around with far too often.

"Oh, and do not worry, im Echani After all. And while that might mean for other Echani that i should hate your people, i respect it instead for its honor and abilities in fighting, and if i was in better shape i wouldn't even hesitate at the chance to show you my own abilities... the last Mandalorian i had the pleasure of fighting was a man named Navio... interesting fellow."

Muad Dib had been sitting in the lounge arguing with several other mandalorians. It was a fruitless endeavor as each party thought they were right. But just as the conversation was taking a heated turn a mando ran in. "Force users on Yavin 4. Strider is going down to talk!" The group jumped up, still in their armor, and made way for the hanger where Garon would be departing.

Standing slowly Muad deigned to follow at a more civilized pace. Exiting the turbo lift he entered the hnager and walkd over to where a large group of mandos stood ready for Strider to choose from within them two to walk with him. Muad slowly stopped near them, and yet apart, with arms folded over his own armor, but armor still of sith origns. He too wanted to go with the man, not just to see him closer and gauge him with his own senses but also to see these curious grey jedi who sought to hide under the umbrella of mando might.

[member="Strider Garon"]

The shuttle would land in the designated area chosen by [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"] . The fully armored and armed seasoned warrior would walk down the loading ramp, his golden shoulder cape flapping in the brisk Yavin wind. He did not have a honor guard, just a small security detail that included Maud Dip and [member="Arrbi Betna"] 's flight buzzing above. There was plenty of ordinance in this general area to guarantee there won't be any direct threat or danger towards the mandalorians.

Strider would recognize Ember and would quickly close to distance towards him and a unkown female. The 'old dog' would then extend his arm and grasp Ember by his forarm in proper embrace of Vode. Giving witchly mando a nod of respect he would turn to focus on Alexandra. " I am Field Marshal Strider Garon, chief of clan Garon" He would introduce himself. " Forgive the show of force, it was only recently and in good timing that we received word that your people will be setting up shop"

Vulpesen had of course accompanied Alexandra to her new possible home on Yavin and now as he could feel the force shifting outside, he couldn't help but growl. Never let a pup enter the meeting of an alpha. The force moved towards him and a large grey robe moved into his hand. "Alex I love you... but you really need to change your sense of fashion." With a flourish, he surrounded himself with the cloth, wrapping his tail around his torso to hide it. Reaching over, he took another piece of cloth, easily ripped to a single band by his zorren claws before being wrapped around his glowing eyes. All traces of the zorren sith gone, he was now a random blind force user. He didn't want to risk putting anyone here in danger. His sins were his alone, and not to be shared by others. As for his presence in the force, there was no hatred, not anger, no pain. Not here. Here he was relaxed and here his presence would be as neutral as possible. Walking out of the guiding, he went over to Alexandra his hearing and the force guiding his way.

The Mandal Hypernautics ships continued their slow approach to Yavin Prime. The massive Mining Barge, the size of a Star Destroyer, would easily be visible to the naked eye against the harsh backdrop of the massive planet. And with active sensor scans coming from the pair of battleships, it would take no time at all for them to detect and be detected by [member="Strider Garon"]'s Krayt-class Light Cruiser or [member="Arrbi Betna"]'s wing of Besuliik Starfighters. "This is Mandal Hypernautics CEO, Rygel Larraq." Larraq broadcast openly to the other Mandalorian assets in the area. "Moving assets into orbit with intent to initiate possible mining operations on Yavin Prime. Also being brought into the system is Prison Transport Nu'eyaytir and a number of escort ships."

Formalities completed, Larraq fully intended to focus his attention on the operation ahead of him.

Parking a 1,600 meter long hunk of metal in a geosynchronous and un-decaying orbit suicidally close to a gas giant... and then descending eight massive tow-cables as deep into the crushing gravity of the planet as possible was far from an easy task.

But the potential credit return was amazing. With even just one or two lucky finds, Mandal Hypernautics could earn enough credits to replace a fleet of Concordance-class Mining Barges.
