Effective Range: Long Range
Rate of Fire: Very Low
Stopping Power: High
Recoil: Low
SPECIAL FEATURES
Powerful Wrist launcher capable of accepting an astounding variety of ammunition types
Near silent when fired.
Low recoil
Blessed by the Light to cause all projectiles fired to have have nearly the same speed as a blaster bolt, as well as negation of all projectile arcing.
Standard bolts occasionally retrievable and reusable.
Strengths:
Long Range: Able to hit someone at the range of an average blaster
Low recoil: Almost like a feather
Adapter: This launcher accepts a wide variety of ammunition, from standard bolts to more exotic warheads running the gamut from Sonic to Cryo. If there is a type of enemy, there is usually a bolt for dealing with them.
Scavenger: The standard bolts can occasionally be reused after having been fired.
Blessed: Blessed by the light, the bolts fired from this launcher will never arc, and they will travel at nearly the speed of a blaster bolt. This makes its projectiles very difficult to evade.
Stealth: Its near silence when firing does not help matters for the enemy.
Weaknesses:
Force Voids: Loses its speed and non-arcing in voids, though it retains most of its functionality otherwise
Reload Speed: Must be hand loaded every time
Ammo Capacity: Can fire only one shot before needing to reload
Magic: Being hit with projectile magic stops it from working completely for three minutes.
DESCRIPTION
This wrist launcher was once one of Moya De Lifte's personal weapons. Most members of the De Lifte carried such weapons on their person, an adaptation of the circumstances they found themselves operating in during the Gulag Plague, when ammunition and chains of supply were scarce, especially on The Outer Rim. Blessed by the light, the projectile moves nearly as quick as a blaster bolt and has the range of a blaster rifle, all while its projectiles travel in a perfectly straight path. Nearly silent when fired, wrist launchers like this made the difference between life and death for De Lifte family members when either cornered or sneaking up on a target, and was one of many tricks of the De Lifte's copied by their successors, such as the Marksmen. This personal launcher in particular belonged to Moya De Lifte, and was even more versatile then the standard variant the De Lifte's used, able to fire nearly any type of modded ammo designed for that size of launcher that one can imagine, from gas, to incendiary, to even specially designed sonic bolts. Such a device was no doubt a very costly investment to create, and its pristine condition even hundreds of years after it was fashioned is testament to its quality.
