Description:The MPT20 is the first in the PT line of Mon Calamari vessels. Designed with multi-role missions in mind the first in the line can carry out any mission from patrol and escort duties to anti-piracy and law enforcement missions.With a thin layer of high grade durasteel, the class relies on its advanced double redundancy shielding and redundant systems, to protect it and keep it in the fight when most ships would be dead in space. The Wake-class is ideal for any major government or corporate body and can fight off anything it can not out run.
Defensive systems include multiple socket guards protecting networks and transmission lines from slicing and hacking. Cap drains help the class to deal with ion based weapon systems. The main defense is the multiple layers of shielding provided by the Mon Calamari Double redundancy shields.
The main heavy weapons of the class are the two rapid fire repeating turbolasers. These Afane-class weapons offer a high rate of fire and decent hitting power. Supplementing this are four lighter piranha-class turbolasers. These short ranged turbolasers are mounted on the flanks of the vessel and give it a heavy anti-corvette defense. Two Lucerne Labs LLT-7 launchers mounted on the prow chin fire a variety of warheads to fit any need. Two Lucerne Labs KD12-1 Interceptor batteries offer countermeasure and anti-projectile defense as well as anti-fighter capabilities. rounding out the weapons are two sturgeon-class laser defense batteries. These weapon systems give the ship a constant stream of anti-fighter and anti-projectile defense in a full three hundred and sixty degree bubble around the ship.
